A high-ranking officer in the Marines and a master of both Western and Chinese medicine, Feng Yu Heng is transmigrated with a duang sound to the Da Shun Dynasty.

Her father is distant, her grandmother is unloving, her mother is sick, her brother is young, and her sisters are hateful, with each more ruthless than the previous.

After transmigrating and being reborn, she definitely cannot continue being a good-for-nothing like the previous owner of this body.

Want to compete with me? It will be complete domination!
Want to cause me harm? A single scalpel will turn you to mincemeat!
Want to play dirty? A needle will paralyze half your body!
Want to kill me? A single scratch will disembowel you!

The formerly easy-to-bully completely transforms and becomes the most desired of Da Shun Dynasty. A hospital to be opened with the Emperor will bring the adoration of the masses and a great deal of wealth. But what’s this about a marriage to this absurd prince? What does the cripple have to say?

This story starts so good that it actually became one of my favorite novels. But what started so good has become mediocre as the chapters go on.

I managed to read up to 600+ chapters, but the story became full of plot holes and broken logics and questionable decisions for the MC who was initially an immovable OP character.

I really love this before but the story became winding it feels forced.

I'm seriously shipping the Seventh Prince, Xuan Tian Hua, with Prince Lian ? Especially now that we know he's a guy hahahaha

lots of details in this novel are cringey but I like to read it nonetheless, especially the parts where there's comedy and they're just hanging about slice-of-lifeish. The interactions between the characters are cute.

Edit: As others say, it gets worse later. I dropped it but will keep the rating at 3 stars just for the sake of the first part of the story.

I LOVE THIS STORY!!

This transmigration story was my first transmigration story. I have read quite a few already but none tops this one. Why?Because this one doesn't go overboard with everything. The plot differs from the others in some areas. There is no cultivation, magic or rankings of power besides the monarchy of having a emperor, prince, princesses and so forth. The main character FENG YU HENG is the female lead (FL) obviously, and she does carry a system like most doctor transmigration stories. Though the system doesn't have a... more>> conscious.

Story 4/5 : The story doesn't have repetitive situations over and over of some girl that is head over heels for the male lead (ML) in every situation or vice versa. Though there is the constant drama of the FL family but its not like the other stories where FL just decides to cut the off to spare future trouble because even though she is OP in a way she can't just disobey the law (which is a nice limiter). The story knows when to pick up or slow down and give the audience a break from the drama to enjoy a simple happy day in the story. There are moments when you do get hmm should I continue but trust me continue because once you reach pass the development of a certain something for Da Shun, it's gets more interesting.

Characters 5/5: Character development is quite good. The FL attitude/personality/capability is shown to the audience over time. Which is nice because it's not thrown towards us at once. The ML is also the same. As for the GOOD supporting cast they develop really well under the care of the FL. And the EVIL supporting cast they also develop quite well being in the pressure of the FL and ML. Every character leaves you an impression in which I happen to recognize their names unlike the other stories, I don't always recognize everyone's names because they don't really leave and impression no matter on the good or evil cast.

Romance 4/5: I have to say that the romance isn't as fast paced and mushy as the other transmigration stories but it's still there and it further develops as the story goes but I can say that's it's a little slower paced because this story's timeline is a lot slower compared to other stories where years have gone by. This one's really takes it one day at a time (not literally). BUT when the romance happens it's not totally le*d it's really cute. Lol.

Overall AWESOME XD. A total recommend to read. <<less

Commentary at 2/3 of the novel:

You know, I both love and hate this story. Of course, I love the ML throughout the story. He's strong, possessive, protective, doting, but not overly alpha and controlling. The 2nd ML is also pretty great as well, though he might not be as developed as much as the ML, plus his portrayal as a "deity". Despite his immortal-like demeanor, occasionally I do get annoyed with him, especially with the Sui princess spy and sometimes when he's too weak against his adoptive mother. I do... more>> also feel pretty bad for him loving the MC despite being best friends and brothers with the ML, but I do think that his love should be more steadfast instead of willingly agreeing to marry the MC's sister.

Now let's get to the MC. To be honest, I'm pretty conflicted about how I feel about her. The MC's background is both military and medicine, so basically preparing her for anything she might need. Her cheat is great, and her abilities are great as well. When she reincarnates, she is strong, smart, ruthless, shameless, and courageous. All characteristics and personality traits I love and can get behind. Also what I would expect from someone who has already lived for 30 years in that sort of military environment. However, when she reincarnates, why does she get so emotional and reckless? I don't mind her crying occasionally, but it seems like the MC has started crying multiple times in the story. You know that your new family aren't your actual mother or brother, and since your brother supports and understands you, it's fine to be attached to and protect him. But your "mother", despite everything you've done to help and support her, starts going crazy and repeated denies you as a daughter, and suspects, scolds, and accuses you at every opportunity. Why are you still so attached to her? The MC even almost went crazy and frozen with sobbing when the "mother" yelled at her this way. She is not your frickin mother! You know this already! Frickin just leave her alone already! Your grandfather knows to do this and kick her out, why are you still so attached to her? This would be like if you left frickin FJY safe and sound the entire time. Or if you don't want to hurt her, just cut ties with her and isolate her somewhere! Don't just nominally cut ties with her and then worry about what she thinks of you every second elsewhere. You don't even let your or her servants scold her about it! Or you can control her using your status! Don't just silently suffer from her tirades! Also, there's a physical clone of the MC who she finds and decides to bring back to her mother. I can't think of anything more idiotic than this. Your mother is already mentally unstable and thinks you aren't the real MC, and now you bring back someone who looks almost exactly like you and give her to her. What do you think is going to happen?? Also, you already experienced once someone doing something while pretending to be you. If you found some random physical clone of you, obviously it would be simple for them to do the same and ruin you and your reputation. If you're so good at planning and trickery and everything, shouldn't you have thought of this? But no, you were too obsessed with keeping your crazy "mother" who couldn't care less about you happy, and you suffered because of that. You even frickin thought that she was just alienating and isolating you and then got shocked and frozen when you found out that she hated you. Literally everyone could tell that she hates you to the bones, what are you being all unaware about?? You might have planned for this and sent BZ to watch her, but why would you let things get to that point? Is the ruining of your reputation worth it? Plus, you have your grandfather who is your actual grandfather, and the ML, who loves and protects you. You know that you're just putting your love for your previous mother on top of your "mother", so wake up! I keep feeling bad for the ML because of the MC constantly doubting herself and not sharing her space secrets with the ML. Would it hurt you to explain to him more?

The writing for this story involves more random political vocabulary than usual, and the MTL for it is pretty damn bad. Each chapter also contains pretty relevant stuff, so I actually have to read them carefully. It's taking me a significantly longer amount of time to read through this series than most of the other novels, especially since I'm a pretty fast reader. This story is one of the only ones that has made me actually lol multiple times throughout, but also one of the only ones (besides the not quite similar TRAP) that has made me quite distressed and gloomy while reading it. As I'm getting further into the story, the comedy parts are getting fewer and the conspiracy and s*upidity/recklessness is piling up, plus the terrible MTL, to put me into a pretty aversive mood. I do love the face slapping though. Oh and also, the manhua is absolutely gorgeous. I love the art.

Thoughts after completion:

Right now, the love-hate relationship is even more intense. Sometimes, I feel like I've been cheated. The beginning quarter of the novel was so nice, with comedy, plenty of face-slapping, not too much danger. And then the drama keeps building up, and the emotion and angst is too thick for me. I'm a fan of those comedic light novels, where can I stomach all this drama and emotion and angst?? I guess I should have noticed the lack of the Comedy tag, but they also need to emphasize a Death of Loved Ones tag and also what's with the shoujo tag? Isn't shoujo fare supposed to be relatively lighter? Ai. Blame me being too invested in the story and the characters to stop trudging through the MTL. Honestly, I feel like I've had to read and interpret more Chinese characters while trying to understand this story MTL than with all of my previous novels combined. My Chinese reading has definitely improved from this, that's for sure.

Spoiler

Okay, so I don't feel as angry too much with the whole fake mother fake clone fiasco as much as the rant earlier. Probably because they repented. BUT. What is with all the angst and sadness in the last few hundred chapters?? I know what happens and I was still feeling really stressed when I started getting closer to the ending. First up, XTH, wtf were you thinking? Your divination just said it would be difficult for XTM during the war, so max he would probably just be injured. Your divination said that you would die! What's the difference between an injury and death? The frickin MC can't save a frickin dead man! You selfishly decided to sacrifice yourself, thinking it was for their good, but you never considered that with your death how much your parents and also the MC and XTM would suffer. Honestly, XTH sometimes makes people give up. Also I was the saddest about YX's death. Especially since he's been with the MC for almost two lifetimes now, and is one of the only people who know about her. And he knows about the space, so he could have stayed in there. But the ending has some real problems. Not to mention XTH waking up, I thought the MC said he had problems with his brain? So that he would only be a vegetable? And it would take at least a couple decades? How'd it happen that basically a year later he wakes up with no problems? Is the world so magical? Also, the MC called YX to come over? What? Isn't YX dead? What's going on here? Is my Chinese MTL reading just having problems? Please. They end with the proclamation of the MC and XTM's children, but why can't we see more of their children and future life? Excuse me. Also, why did the MC never tell XTM about what happened to her? Is she never going back to get revenge on her past? Why is the only one who knows clearly what happened XTF? There are too many questions and things I want clarified here. The story ended multiple chapters too early.

[collapse]

Alright, that was a long rant with spoilers, and this has been a long-winded rant of a review. In the end, having finished this story, I do have a kind of bittersweet feeling. I do love the FYH and XTM, but sometimes I do consider what if there was a reverse harem and XTH and XTF could be happy as well. Ai. Being so amazing is hard work. She's had a hard time, and I'm happy that she's been able to settle down. Recommended. Unless you have heart problems. <<less

Not sure how I feel about this.. The writing of the story is excellent, but the plot itself is so bland I have to force myself to continue reading. The same situation keeps happening: Family member or jealous girl instantly hates her the moment they meet solely because of her relationship with the ninth prince or they just hate her at sight, they scheme against her, scheme fails and they try again. What I like is that there’s no instant “oh she’s 12 now but timeskip she’s 15 and can... more>> marry ML”. There’s a gradual build up with the characters. But the plot really is too repetitive, I wish the author could come up with better fillers than just the usual everyone’s scheming against her. <<less

This story just keeps getting better.

A daughter against her father, sister, sister's mother and her family along with a caring fiance. New plots, same enemies, varied methods.... It all just boils down to a good soup.

This novel is enjoyable in many ways, like the face slapping and the how supportive the ML. What I hard to buy into the MC being a “divine doctor” because the author seems to be poorly lacking in medical knowledge so the illnesses and injuries and the treatment for them do not always match up.

So far its been a very nice read.

The horrible (or all encompassing) synopsis doesn't do it justice at all.
So far it's been something like a combination of "Chu Wang Fei" and
"The Rebirth of the malicions empress of military lineage".

The face-slaps/word-fights are very good.
Oh, and the ML has been rather doting so far.

I'm not really good at writing review, to thousands novels that I've read if I remember correctly I only write 3,

But this one is really good novel, the romance I's nice and slow but when they meet it's always fluffy and funny that you can't help but smile.. (^v^).. The fighting, well for me it's good too especially when they fight with words it's a pleasure when her enemies can't fight back because she's really good at that. ≪ (‾︶‾) >..

Pretty decent book. The writing and translations are great for the most part and have to applaud on the planning of the storyline. The plot line of the story is well paced and doesn't get too boring even if nothing major goes on. Also, you can tell that the author plans ahead by at least a couple tens of chapters for some plots to unravel which gives the feeling of being well thought out and interesting. The beginning is decent, basically kids that use the power and money from their... more>> parents to flaunt over people to do things for them and although a little annoying to read, it can't be said to be badly written. And in regards to the MC, she just flaunts her skills and gains a ton of merit to the point of shutting everyone up which is kind of satisfying. Once that part of the story ends, it starts to dive into a more serious matter and instead of having a cheerful or lighthearted tone with words, the author makes it more serious and impacts on a more varied set of emotions to the readers. I have to say, at chapter 500 and after, I finally got what the other reviews were talking about. The development of the MC's power goes s*upidly out of control; this shouldn't really be a thing as well since there was very little mention of this in the early chapters, so the author basically just threw it in. In addition, the evil characters practically all similar in the aspect that they are all arrogant and basically think they are more than what they have. From the beginning to the middle of the story, the antagonists all have this point and it will get very annoying once you realize this point. I will say that in my opinion, this arrogant character seems to always be in Chinese Novels, at least from what I have read, and I never get past 100 chapters of a Chinese Novel due to this point. While in this book, the antagonists are arrogant over their heads, the Main Characters don't have the same attitude for the most part which makes this book bearable. At this point, I don't know if some events from way back in the story are going to be used in the 200 chapters left, but I feel like there are some major points which the author forgets throughout the novel. Can't say I blame them since this is a fairly lengthy book, (longest ones I've read, but I know that there's even longer ones) but it doesn't kind of irks me when it comes up or the author (maybe tranaslator), messes up those events or key points. <<less

This chinese, historical (martial arts) novel with a female MC is one of my favorites. (And yeah, this is quite specific because there are fundamental differences between a male and female MC in these storys)

I also think that this Novel tends to be more on the historical side than the fantasy/martial arts kind of story. There is simply no scene with cultivation nor are there god like characters (and no the god like apperance on Males don´t count) So you shouldn´t expect monsters, immortality or the like.

My rating of... more>> five stars is high and I would have prefered to give 4 and a half, because this is by no means a perfect story. It´s also not the one everyone is going to enjoy.

So let´s get to the story: It is generic, everyone who tells you otherwise is too nice to the story. The MC is reincarnated from our time to an anicent one, has badass abilitys, is born to a noble family and has an engagement. Varying from novel to novel is the familiy a super duper loving and doting one or is absolut, disgusting shit. The MC is also almost always either seen as tr*sh or unfavored by the father. (It is always like that, if not name one that is written otherwise) But let´s be hard on this genre if you expect something way different you will never find it here, the only things that make novels of this type good or bad are little details, characters or the writing. Sorry to disapoint you but it´s just like this, it´s the same as isekai manga, if you don´t like stuff like this, don´t read this genre, because you get exactly whats promised (and seldom good too).

Sorry for the hard tone here, it´s the cold truth.

So the story is generic then how the heck is it different from the others!? Well like I said above, the details, the writing, the characters.

THE WRITING: Unlike most it´s very detailed for an Novel. The chapters are long and the actions and arcs appear like this too. Which in return is more specific with desciptions, almost like a book. In my opinion this isn´t a necessity for a good Novel, but in this case makes it one. These points can be positive or negative varying from person to person. I liked it because hey, the more the better, the longer you can read, the more details you have. (Which is a pro for me but not everyones cup of tea, so this aspect is the most subjective one in my oppinion)

THE CHARACTERS:

I wish the main character was a bit older. Reading about the romantic feelings adult males have toward young girls is a bit creepy. Yeah I know girls married young in those days, but still, I find it a bit uncomfortable. However, the killing bits, yeah I'm all good with those. I love the banter between the main leads, but after the main characters get married, I find myself wanting to quit reading... sigh

Edit: This was great until the MC lost her moral compass and just bullied everyone. I mean, at some point, I was so infuriated by her I stopped reading this altogether. : ( I can't update my rating but I'm giving this 3/5 stars. : (
Spoiler

Some things were ok and I understand that she seems hypocritical on some things and I'm ok with that. People are people and we are hypocrites on some things. However, I was really tired of justifying her actions when she got that girl who looked like her and made that girl's life a living hell. : (

Super love this one. Character development is great. Even the minor and side characters are complicated and are not just 2D and stand-ins, they have depth and side stories which are great.

The MC is a deus ex machina and it's really just cheating. Haha. But I still like her and the ML.

Yes, this story does drag a little at times. And yes, some of the characters s*upidity is beyond words. But there are enough highs and laughs to keep me reading. The plot is interesting. The OPness is crazy, but does not feel forced. She is strong and smart and lucky. But because she is human, she does have some blind spots which show weakness or failure of thought. The scenes with her mother are a classic example. This is not a quick read. But I am enjoying the journey. Sometimes... more>> I do feel a little frustrated and want to have things hurry up. But when I get to that point. I just read something else for a break. Then when I come back to this, I remember the good bits and tend to have gotten over the annoyances that made me want a break in the first place. So far, I still plan to stick around and keep reading. I find it clever and interesting enough to keep me coming back. <<less

This was my second Chinese novel that I have read. I really enjoyed reading the novel and the manhua.

Honestly, this novel is lacking a lot of romance. Therefore, it is not romantic as other historical novels. It is a novel that is full of plotting and defeating their enemies. The romance of the novel I guess is very solid since our male lead, XTM trust her and FYH trust him a lot too. They help one another or mostly the male lead helps the female lead mentally and physically.

The plotting... more>> is exciting but after a while it gets annoying. Maybe because the novel is of 1.2k chapters or my stamina in reading long novels is bad. It is true that the female lead is overpowered where she has the space and many items. I feel that she practically lack any weaknesses except one of the situation and being scared of birds.
Spoiler

If I remembered correctly, it was when the real FYH soul came back, she started hesitating and worrying which caused her to fall ill. After a while, she got over it with the help of the 7th prince and 9th prince.

[collapse]

I love all of the Male and female leads and there were some character progression for some. Which is for example, Feng Yu Dai and Zi Rui. Feng Yu Dai may be annoying at first but we can see her character growth to be a better person. Zi Rui is someone who really trust FYH and I admire his trust even though certain situation where Yao Shi doubted FYH, she still stick with FYH. The best Male lead would be 7th prince, XTH. He really feels like a perfect character that has a very good heart which I believe won’t exist in the real world. XTM is funny at times, I admire him for being daring and giving FYH a place where she feels happy.

In conclusion, this novel is great for someone who is looking for a novel with a bit of romance and a novel full of plotting. <<less

In hindsight, a sh*t load of plot armor, a lot of face slapping, the usual sh*t you expect from wish fullfilment fantasy novels. It sticks to the formula, so if you are looking to turn your brain off, this works. If you want far superior version of this, read The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage.

Out of all webnovels, this is currently my second favourite, right under full marks hidden marriage. The plot is like a typical cliche but the main female and male or so cute and funny together. You pretty much read this for all the cute and funny moments. It ventures off into a slightly different path compare to other novels but, its still a must read!

Now, I am not sure about what the guidelines are for reading this novel but I have nothing but praises for the author. I may be easily pleased and am in no shape way or form a writing critic, as long as its coherent I wont care for the minor details. That being said I feel like the author not only writes the characters well, it even makes me want to reach through the screen to strangle people sometimes, but again that is just me. If you are looking for... more>> a novel to read then here are the basics for this novel, if you don't like these then don't read it or if you do like it then read.

First this is a novel where the MC comes from the future to a time of horse drawn carriages and lamps.

This novel is not perfect reality, there is qing gong (just think of movement techniques from wuxia novels) and there is a magical space that the MC can use at anytime while no one else has something similar.

the main religion seems to be something like Buddhism though not sure.

It might be slow at times but it isn't dry or boring in my opinion.

this could be considered like the normal cliche from this type of novel, maybe a few minor differences but I don't know or care to look.

the MC does bring future knowledge here.

As for anything else I didn't mention, don't blame me I am trying not to spoil it but all in all it is a very good read and recommend to people who have read something similar and liked it, if this review doesn't help, sorry since it is one of my first ones but I felt like I need to comment on this one since I just enjoy reading it and hope they continue at the current release rate. From Chapter 183 onward, it seems that our MC has a change of mindset. From a playful and crafty person who tried to protect her own family to a person who believes that violent is the answer to protect herself and her family.

Spoiler

It seems that the incident of being drugged affected her so badly that she started to believe that violent and strength is the way to survive.

The MC has become much more cruel when the story progresses. It is understandable since she has went through a lot of 'events' but she became more unlikable too at the same time...

However, we get to see more interaction between MC and ML. And I just want to say it they are such a perfect pair! <<less

Not the most well written story, but compared to some other stories, it's pretty entertaining. There's a lot of deus ex machina moments as usual, but after a certain point you stop caring and read this purely for the laughs and entertainment value. The pacing of the story is really slow so far though, since only about half a year (give or take) has passed, and it's only taken close to 400 chapters... The translation itself makes it easy to read, so this is a huge plus for me. Also,... more>> the frequent updates don't hurt.

Give this novel a shot if you're into the transmigration c-novels and are looking for something new to read.

Edit: The pacing does pick up later on and there are more time skips. The story logic is still out there though.... <<less
