After transmigrating and being reborn, she definitely cannot continue being a good-for-nothing like the previous owner of this body.

Want to compete with me? It will be complete domination!
Want to cause me harm? A single scalpel will turn you to mincemeat!
Want to play dirty? A needle will paralyze half your body!
Want to kill me? A single scratch will disembowel you!

The formerly easy-to-bully completely transforms and becomes the most desired of Da Shun Dynasty. A hospital to be opened with the Emperor will bring the adoration of the masses and a great deal of wealth. But what’s this about a marriage to this absurd prince? What does the cripple have to say?

This was my second Chinese novel that I have read. I really enjoyed reading the novel and the manhua.

Honestly, this novel is lacking a lot of romance. Therefore, it is not romantic as other historical novels. It is a novel that is full of plotting and defeating their enemies. The romance of the novel I guess is very solid since our male lead, XTM trust her and FYH trust him a lot too. They help one another or mostly the male lead helps the female lead mentally and physically.

The plotting... more>> is exciting but after a while it gets annoying. Maybe because the novel is of 1.2k chapters or my stamina in reading long novels is bad. It is true that the female lead is overpowered where she has the space and many items. I feel that she practically lack any weaknesses except one of the situation and being scared of birds.

If I remembered correctly, it was when the real FYH soul came back, she started hesitating and worrying which caused her to fall ill. After a while, she got over it with the help of the 7th prince and 9th prince.

I love all of the Male and female leads and there were some character progression for some. Which is for example, Feng Yu Dai and Zi Rui. Feng Yu Dai may be annoying at first but we can see her character growth to be a better person. Zi Rui is someone who really trust FYH and I admire his trust even though certain situation where Yao Shi doubted FYH, she still stick with FYH. The best Male lead would be 7th prince, XTH. He really feels like a perfect character that has a very good heart which I believe won’t exist in the real world. XTM is funny at times, I admire him for being daring and giving FYH a place where she feels happy.

In conclusion, this novel is great for someone who is looking for a novel with a bit of romance and a novel full of plotting. <<less

I would have given the story 5 stars when reading the incomplete reviews from readers that have yet to even pass 100 chapters of the story, which is known to be where the good stuff starts in every Chinese novel ever. However, I do agree that this novel has a few shortcomings but not enough to warrant a 1 or 2-star rating.

One thing that commonly shows up is criticism towards FYH's actions in revenge, with a rather popular sentiment from a [email protected] scene about 50 chapters in, when the servant... more>> had wanted to drug her with an aphrodisiac, which ended up in her master due to FYH's schemes and thus the servant got [email protected]

I won't deny that this may be foul towards some readers (especially SJWs) in terms of actions of [email protected], but from my viewpoint, I just find it as less fictional and helps on the realism since every reader of Chinese transmigration series would notice is that life is exponentially harsh, especially towards women in that era. It is literally how every depiction of Ancient China is, and if you don't like that certain premise, don't read it.

Oh, and in response to the part about the servant getting [email protected] (and every other horrible thing that FYH does in revenge), it only gets more and more ruthless further into the novel, with one case of whipping and beheading a servant for drugging her mother with addictives. I won't say that it isn't harsh, but the writer does a decent job at providing a reason for FYH or XTM's actions, with the level of ruthlessness equal to their enemy's actions, cementing a "you don't touch me I won't touch you" premise of the novel.

I do however think that despite this the amount that she tolerates her family's schemes against her (especially her father) is pretty BS and from what they have done, according to her track record most of the Feng family should be dead by chapter 300, not even close to the 600 chapters that this novel is currently at.

Sometimes the plot armor may become pretty thicc and seem absolutely ridiculous (which it often is), including the case of the s*x changed Feng Zhao Lian's sudden help and her random sniper rifle and revolvers that weren't here at the start of the book. However, I am willing to let it slide as I prefer not to go into the details that may ruin a story for me, considering this is a fictional story of a genius marine soldier and doctor that got transported back in time for a few centuries. If you like some fun slice of life and romance points inbetween some dark and cruel murders, this here is your pick. <<less

Out of all webnovels, this is currently my second favourite, right under full marks hidden marriage. The plot is like a typical cliche but the main female and male or so cute and funny together. You pretty much read this for all the cute and funny moments. It ventures off into a slightly different path compare to other novels but, its still a must read!

Its a must must must read!

Now, I am not sure about what the guidelines are for reading this novel but I have nothing but praises for the author. I may be easily pleased and am in no shape way or form a writing critic, as long as its coherent I wont care for the minor details. That being said I feel like the author not only writes the characters well, it even makes me want to reach through the screen to strangle people sometimes, but again that is just me. If you are looking for... more>> a novel to read then here are the basics for this novel, if you don't like these then don't read it or if you do like it then read.

First this is a novel where the MC comes from the future to a time of horse drawn carriages and lamps.

This novel is not perfect reality, there is qing gong (just think of movement techniques from wuxia novels) and there is a magical space that the MC can use at anytime while no one else has something similar.

the main religion seems to be something like Buddhism though not sure.

It might be slow at times but it isn't dry or boring in my opinion.

this could be considered like the normal cliche from this type of novel, maybe a few minor differences but I don't know or care to look.

the MC does bring future knowledge here.

As for anything else I didn't mention, don't blame me I am trying not to spoil it but all in all it is a very good read and recommend to people who have read something similar and liked it, if this review doesn't help, sorry since it is one of my first ones but I felt like I need to comment on this one since I just enjoy reading it and hope they continue at the current release rate. From Chapter 183 onward, it seems that our MC has a change of mindset. From a playful and crafty person who tried to protect her own family to a person who believes that violent is the answer to protect herself and her family.

It seems that the incident of being drugged affected her so badly that she started to believe that violent and strength is the way to survive.

The MC has become much more cruel when the story progresses. It is understandable since she has went through a lot of 'events' but she became more unlikable too at the same time...

However, we get to see more interaction between MC and ML. And I just want to say it they are such a perfect pair! <<less

Not the most well written story, but compared to some other stories, it's pretty entertaining. There's a lot of deus ex machina moments as usual, but after a certain point you stop caring and read this purely for the laughs and entertainment value. The pacing of the story is really slow so far though, since only about half a year (give or take) has passed, and it's only taken close to 400 chapters... The translation itself makes it easy to read, so this is a huge plus for me. Also,... more>> the frequent updates don't hurt.

Give this novel a shot if you're into the transmigration c-novels and are looking for something new to read.

Edit: The pacing does pick up later on and there are more time skips. The story logic is still out there though.... <<less

I'll admit that in the beginning I really enjoyed the story and looked forward to each update, however as time went on I found myself just skimming through them.

Though I like strong MCs (I don't even mind if they're OP at times), there is literally nothing in the story that ever seriously threatens the MC. Everything goes so perfectly for her it's ridiculous and after the same cycle happening over and over again but in different words for over 200 chapters, I can't go on.

MC was great in the beginning... more>> and I loved her interactions with the ML, MC being a snarky adorable bundle of joy. But over time I noticed that she was becoming a bit too self-righteous and hypocritical, making me actually start to dislike her and even feel bad for some of her enemies. Also MC is like 12 and while it makes sense that she doesn't act her age, all the other characters her age act abnormally too old (even if you consider the fact that this novel takes place in ancient times). Plus their young ages at times makes this novel feel a little pedo-ish.

(About MC's elder sister)

CY is like 14 years old but honestly doesn't act like it. I get that girls marry earlier and they have to mature faster and blah blah blah, but like at one point she has fricking s*x with her full blooded brother. Even if she's a villain I found it disturbing that the MC allow something like that to happen to her own sister (even consider what CY did to her).

I also liked ML at first too but he turned out to be kind of a flat character.

(Spoilers? I don't talk about specific events but eh might as well be safe)

Their romance is pretty boring with both ML and MC practically falling in love with each other at first sight in the first couple chapters. They barely get to interact and when they do it's pretty boring with very few heart throbbing moments. At one point it felt like the only point to ML's existence was to be MC's face slapping tool. Honestly the only reason people don't really go against MC is because of the ML, not because she's intimidating or threatening herself.

I would rate this novel lower but as you can tell I did read up to c282 because for a while I did enjoy the story. But honestly even if I did want to read a transmigration face slapping novel, I would probably recommend that you don't bother getting invested in this story and read something else. Though one thing good about this novel is that it updates practically everyday, sometimes with multiple uploads in a single day. The translation quality is also pretty good. <<less

Heroine is a total Mary Sue, who eats like 2 losses over 300 chapters, and pulls out skills that she shouldn't even have had from her past life.

That said, the story is still really good. The court politics, verbal duels, and plotting are all done excellently, that really keeps you interested compared to most novels on this site. You can't just mindlessly read this like you could with a xianxia and get the gist, there's a lot to pay attention to and a lot to enjoy.

Good story, average characters

I recently have become obsessed with this novel and really enjoy reading it. The main character is witty but not to the point of being a know it all and the relationship between other characters are well thought out and have thought put into them. I don’t have a very broad range of knowledge when it comes to web novels but I give this one a double thumbs up.

This novel is not the best but it is an enjoyable read. It has all the elements of a ancient China family saga be it revenge, love, hate, loyalty, family values, palace schemes, jealousy... etc.

I rather like the MC. She is not like those female protagonist portrayed in some of the novels killing everyone who gets in her way. She is badass but a conscientious badass... hehehe

The plot as compared to the 'Rebirth of the malicious empress of military lineage' is rather mild. I still rank ROTMEOML the best of... more>> the ancient China drama genre.

Up to chapter 950

I fell out of love with the novel and the FL. She has gone from consentious badass to real badass. Too much killing etc... Moreover the plots are so very predictable. I am just reading for the sake of the ending. <<less

I did not expect this story, I liked it so much, I read it and I loved each part, at first the villains tried to make everything difficult for the female protagonist, but she always saved herself, she always played her cards well, I also like the relationship that she She has with the male protagonist, how well their relationship is progressing, how they begin to fall in love more and more with each chapter, how they both change each other, the love that we have managed to change them... more>> both and that is seen in more chapters ahead. What I did not like and it is the reason why today to wait until it has its end before going back to where I left it, is the relationship of the secondary characters, such as Xiang ron and Tian hua I like both characters too much, I love the role they play but the author has them there just to give more importance to the female protagonist and don't get me wrong, I like the female protagonist... it's just that I see more potential in both secondary characters than creating love triangles to make more desirable to the female protagonist, it is more than obvious that Tian ming will end with Yu heng, but as for Xiang Ron and Tian hua, both will end with a broken heart, he is seen coming, and I would have liked to see both together, and I blame the author for letting me think like that, it gave me hope but in the end it will only make me suffer seeing that the only end will be that Yu heng stays with Tiang ming. Although that is what the novel brings, after a thousand chapters one hopes that more couples have been developed and not only the protagonists, I say after seeing the same couple being loving after three hundred chapters as it bores a little, so it is when the other characters enter. I will not deny that this novel kept me awake for several days for wanting to continue reading, but I got stressed and went to the chapters that had just come out, and I did not like how everything was developing. I'll just say I expected more... <<less

Actually pretty interesting, but in the first 100 chapters, the main players (except a few older wives) are 10-14 year old girls. They romance 20 year old princes. And these preteens try to kill, maim, poison each other. And then, when the villains fail ... more>>

and get their hair burnt off, or their mothers dead,

If this was about 24 year old girls, it would feel less slimy.

I might just tell myself that the characters are in their 20s and read on. <<less

Okay, 3.5 point for the translator and thank you so much for your efforts.

Honestly... Not my cup of tea. There's so much questionable acts throughout chapters I read. I don't know how she becomes doctor in 21 century with how she handle problems.

I just read until 100 chapters or something but the plot it's just boring, I can't imagine how plot would be progressing until the end. And I just give up.

First and foremost I'd recommend to read the novel first before going over to the manhua, there are just too many contents that are left unexplained in the manhua.

Secondly, a warning to all those who are sensitive to r*pe tags. This type of novel (chinese, romance, black-belly protagonist, transmigration, ancient china tags tend to include this method a lot in their writings, take heed) There's also pedophilia (involving girls around the age of 10)

So, I came for romance, but this is mostly really about a power struggle between a... more>> vicious family and a girl who transmigrated into ancient times from modern world. Lots of face slapping happening.

The MC's character is a tad dubious, although she's righteous and promises revenge right off the bat to the body's former owner, she's also somewhat a criminal, she's stolen; if I got this from the translations correctly, frequently enough from her former life's occupation which is the marines. I suppose every nation's army is strict and wouldn't allow this sort of thing to casually blow over especially if it concerns medication not viable for general public (this all is mentioned from the get go). It's not like stealing office supplies; hard to overlook as it was the first impression given to the readers.

The story's plot line is, although tad generic, still enjoyable and existent. Most of which is focused on the side characters and hardly any assertions of the MC herself from other people's stand point (other than the fact she's clearly changed from the original). But for a novel with 900+ chapters the pacing seems just fine, there's not a single boring chapter with nothing ongoing as of now yet.

Mainly wrote the review because I made the mistake of reading manhua first as well as the more explicit detailed r*pe scenes compared to the manhua. <<less

When I first started reading this last year, the story was very enjoyable and I would wait for the new updates everyday. However, sadly around chapter 400+, the story has gone downhill. The story became very political and in my opinion, very dragging. It also became repetitive, such that if one character was not killed off, they caused trouble the same way time and time again. It's as if there is no character development in this story (whether the individual is evil or not). After a while, you'll come to... more>> understand that FL is actually pretty annoying. The only thing that probably "saves" the story is the romance between FL and ML, which might be why the author dragged it on for so long. However, honestly the romance between the two is very lacking, such that the author barely writes about it. A lot of chapters have been dedicated to side / supporting characters, which isn't exactly enjoyable. I don't know, I just came to find this story to be disappointing, especially the FL. <<less

I've read a lot of transmigration novels and so far this is my #1, my #2 is Transmigrator meets Reincarnator, #3 Poison Genius Consort.I love how this story flows. How powerful the main leads as couple. Their character is assertive and they both intellegent, not like any common story that a female or male lead are confused of who they love and go flirting with everyone elses... saving a person moronity that makes a jealousy fight dumbness which I find annoyingly boring. If you want a strong and consistent character... more>> that devoted to their love interest and always have a very nice scheme up sleeve and NOT a clumsy smart girl who u cannot understand why she's so smart but decides and acts s*upidly which I cant understand why writers do that oftentimes, maybe they find it interesting (scoffs). Anyways Feng Yu Heng is never that kind, although she has a cold character to kill but that bcoz they reach her limitations. And Prince Yu although I like him, im not his fan either (i find him unfathomable, only feng yu heng understands him lol). His not the regular prince charming coz he never really speaks up his mind, Feng Yu Heng is the only one that can read his actions and perceptions. All in all I recommend this novel. If you find it a lot to read coz we are nearing 900 chapters now but always look forward on Feng Yu Heng's schemes, her people are amazing, it's also one of the comedic stance in the novel.... she never fails to amaze reader and clamor for more!!Enjoy!!! <<less

This is such a well written example of this genre, and well translated. I think it’s greatest strength is in the core characters - especially now as the story wraps up I’m already prepared to actually miss some of them.

The story’s other main strength would be in the romance between the two main characters - not only in watching them come to understand and truly adore each other but also in watching them learn to be adults together, with responsibilities in the world of the story.

I’m sad the story is... more>> almost over, I’m hoping the author writes another one! <<less
