It started out promising, however, the second arc felt forced with how determined it was to establish that ‘yes, this is the ML and this is the pairing’. It felt forced with how the game was centered on finding out which two were the pair that had to kiss for the game to be cleared. Compared to the first arc with genuine horror elements the second arc just fell flat. Hopefully future arcs will return to the horror games instead of games that feel more like variety tv.

a quick read. Not very scary but the 'pretending to be a bad*ss' thing the MC has going at the start is fun. Some of the instances are fast and funny to read through and some are relatively long and boring.

I found the misunderstandings between the MC and ML in the middle of one of those boring instances to be extremely tedious and eventually I ended up just skipping chapters. The misunderstanding seems to exist purely so the ML has a reason to suddenly fall in love out of nowhere and chase the MC. Before then, they barely knew each other and hadn't even made it to the good friend stage yet.

i found the second half to be much worse than the first with most of the humor that initially drew me to the story missing. It feels like the author got bored once the misunderstanding was over and decided to take the story off in another direction (MC family stuff) and it didn't work so well for me. I'd give the front a 4 and the back a three, which evens out to 3.5.

I think it's quite good. It's scary and gory but not too descriptive. It's an-okay scary type of horror.

I like the MC, he's paper tiger but I think scamming is his strong point. Acting like a boss bit*h haha.

Personally, this novel is a good one because its scary but not too scary. I like horror but... Ya know, I get scared easily. But this one is mellow and restrained type of horror and very silly and amusing.

MC:9/10

ML: 4.5/10

Arcs:8.5/10

I also got confused when reading the first part like, what happened? What does it mean by boss? Villain boss or S-class player? Where is he? What happened to him to be in that situation?

Fortunately, some of my questions are answered.

Anyway, I recommend it for horror readers but also a coward. It's not too intense but it's a good read. <<less

This novel is quite short with 70+ chps, suitable for a quick read. MC is amazing in his acting skills, skilful in fooling the players and the game. ML treats MC badly in the beginning until he realised and changed his ways to chase MC.

the ghost that he bought for $10m in his 1st game. MC brings him out, spent $5m for additional space for him, lets him meet his mother, trust him with his life, treated him well as a brother, fight together in battle in many life-and-death situations. In the end, the ghost makes a promise to delay for 5 mins yet only for 1s, he was caught by the boss. So, MC stay and was caught, hoping that he would use the holy water to splash on the boss. However, he didn't and MC died. IT WAS A PLOT! (He cooperates with the boss, that he actually wanted him to die, because he thinks that MC treats him as a chip.)

Some chapters are funny and good and some are "meh" (just okay/boring). The arc1 and 3 stories seem so fast and some of scenes are predicatable so they're not as hilarious as arc2. The Arc 2 is really good; it's really funny!!!! Since the ML is in arc2 and their relationship turns from enemies into lovers (actually not enemies, but the ML sees MC as rival at first). Another factor that makes this funny is the audience cp match of players 🤣

The word "boss" may... more>> be confusing at first to some since the word is generic and ambiguous. It may pertains to "boss" in a specific arc or "boss" as an S class player. And to determine which one, it depends on the sentence usage since the novel uses "boss" at first to describe as someone who is strongest.

Not sure if I'm gonna drop but I lose interest. <<less
