Great start but everything goes to sh*t after the Demon King's invasion. At that point MC just becomes an ungodly genius for no particular reason, which is really annoying because I thought the whole point of this story was to depict how MC's power in the dream world allows him to advance in reality, not him battling a billion year old demonic god and surpassing here after a few weeks of training.

I remember dropping this once in 2020 because I don't like the way the MC acting trying hard to act like an old man but actually childish deep inside, a hypocrite, but I got past that part now. Now the MC is still kinda childish (not the way he act but base on his inner monologues) and he also have some kind of problem against rich people he keeps calling them 'Golden Spoon' and he's putting himself down with self pity saying things like how he's poor and how he had a hard time life in the past, he had some kind of inferiority complex for the rich people, he doesn't even know the person in question just because they are rich he keeps saying they were born with golden spoon etc etc. They could be successful in life after a hardwork which never crossed the mc's mind. It's just annoying listening to his repeated rants in his monologues. Well overall the concept is good, just that even though the novel isn't that long, even as of chapter 30+ it's just very average and lacks the thrill of adventures, lacks of hype, it doesn't excite me at all.

The story is interesting but there are a few problems with the writing. The author has a bad case of "tell dont show" and rehashes things numerous times before moving on. Additionally, the story suffers from a perfect protagonist who is luckier, more charismatic, smarter, and stronger than any of the others. There is very little journey or growth throughout the story because of this, and whenever the main character gets a power up it feels undeserved or unimportant.

Still, the story was enjoyable and I recommend giving it a read.... more>> For people who enjoy power trip novels and don't mind Mary Sue protagonists it'll be an especially good read. <<less

Very underrated novel.

There are multiple shifts in tone. The first 50 or so chapters are great, but from then on, the quality cycles up and down for the rest of the novel.

But I found the end very satisfying, which is rare for these types of novels. It doesn't feel rushed or come out of nowhere or leave a bunch of unresolved plot threads. It felt like a proper payoff.

It was worth my time, and I'm glad that I stuck with it through the dips in quality to reach the ending.

i want to give this novel 2.5 stars though. This novel have good premise, tactics battle with different resources between team (experience based vs wealth based etc) compared to "Ora ora!" scenes. Then it turn sours into "Ora ora!" novel where MC became korean version of linley after ascend (with harem).

The beginning is beyond slow which made me try this novel 2 times before finally getting far enough to enjoy it. After around chapter 8 I binged to 144 in like 7 hours. Really enjoyable novel. It might be because its korean so it feels different but it is a nice change of pace.

I liked the MC's struggle against those more fortunate than him. I also like the absurdly fast upgrade in powers, but that upgrade is so fast that it started to seem bogus by 144. Its like goku... more>> jumping from SS1 to SS4 in 100 episodes. The same thing happens where theres always a stronger enemy no matter how strong he gets, but at least with dragon balls, the journey to that power level is fun. That can't be said for DS. The power ups are even worse when power levels are super vague. Its like 100 of the chapters are fought with level 3 (lower-if we go with like 2-3 ranks within each level to advanced) with a max of level 4. And then after that arc, the MC jumps to level 6 in 20 chapters and then in another 20 chapters a level 8 is thrown into the mix. <<less

I feel that I gave Dimensional Sovereign a fair chance. That said, it ended up disappointing me like many of the stories I've tried reading on Novel Updates. The basic concept of the story, with the strategy and RPG elements intrigued me, at first. The RPG elements were completely ruined by luck and "plot armor, " whereas the strategy elements were never focused on as much as I would've preferred. Rather than trying to make the most of a somewhat original concept, the author chose to turn Dimensional Sovereign into... more>> a boring "the main character is the best" type of story. Even if the whole point of the story was supposed to be the main character's rise to power, it still could have been written in a far more entertaining manner had the author focused on strategy elements.

The Dimensional Sovereign doesn't have great characters, a sense of suspense, an interesting story, or exceptional action. The most interesting aspect of Dimensional Sovereign is the world and that isn't enough to support my desire to read this story. I really feel like Dimensional Sovereign could have been great if the initial concept had been executed well. <<less

This novel leaves me with mixed feelings, it ended started good but ended so fast that I just didn't know what to say. Author could have stretched what he fit in 179 chapters to around 600 chapters easily. After 100 chapters each chapter is just getting power up getting a new girl or maybe going to a new world. They are described pretty well considering the time span given to each is very short.

Ending well it could be said to be could be said to be bad. It was an open ending disclosing the possibility of another world, I don't really mind that but there already are so many worlds described and most of them just came into existence without any reason whatsover, yea, this is fantasy so it can work without a reason or so but I really want to know.

Characters get forgotten very quickly, well as the story just speed off on a rocket you can expect them not to be developed all that well, and they just get forgotten. There were so many starting characters that I liked but after sometime they just couldn't keep up with the growth of MC and were left behind.

Personally I really liked the idea behind the plot but it ended so fast that I wanted to curse to author to continue more a bit more. This is the reason behind my mixed feelings, and yea the pace of the plot is slow at beginning it gets faster till 50 and faster till 100 and after that its' on rocket too fast to keep up with.

Overall this is very good read I would highly recommend you to go and try it, since it doesnt have much chapters it doesnt take much time and is very enjoyable!

Oh boy this novel saddens me. In the beginning this novel was great I enjoyed it and the progress satisfied me. Sadly this completely changed later. First problem at this point in time was no character development or romance of any sort I could not connect with the characters. Then you hit the war. The novel was ruined from that moment. The MC was given free everything and he developed To a insane degree. The development halted and it became pure combat+power ups. Than you got past the war and... more>> I just gave up. I mean really he instantly ruined a demon lord and allowed his power to properly bullshitify. The his first *romance* part where he makes out with a water god that he has probably talked to for less than 3 hours. Sadly this novel has killed itself and I am dropping it. <<less

It starts out alright. Protagonist gets stronger and defeats enemies by being clever and lucky. He doesn't want to die, but if he doesn't keep winning he auto fails and goes to hell, so there's a sense of desperation.

As you get into the later chapter of the stories, any sense of cleverness and desperation is gone. It's all basically luck. He runs into one powerup after another, beating increasingly 'godlike' bad guys and gaining accolades with the wave of his hand. His motivation? Nonexistent. He doesn't really want anything. The... more>> supporting characters are all forgettable lackeys with no defining personalities. The antagonists die in a couple of chapters, usually in a horribly cliched way.

This story goes nowhere fast. <<less

Personally I would've rated it 1/5 if it weren't for the good translating. The main problem for me here is cause of the convenient occurances that happen if a stronger being appears in front of the MC. For example, a stronger guy appears in front of him and he suddenly gains or discovers something incredible allowing him to beat that guy in less than 5 chapters or so. His development is waaaay too fast. Second problem is the lack of attention on the side characters. Basically they start out as... more>> an enemy for the MC then they join him cause of the convenient increase in charisma, after that nothing much happens (except for the increase in strength). They just chill there and do nothing (they do something rarely). <<less

Finished! It was good. Cool setting, nice initial character, and great direction for plot to go. It then falls short of greatness and enters just good. His luck is too strong. Side Characters become flat, items become mediocre, and his powers become boring. It's all because his luck helps him get something better within two chapters and that just repeats. New subordinates, new gfs, new powers, and new items. The real world loses its charm because he is so strong and smart and rich without doing much.

Very fast pace from translators which is a plus. Intelligent MC that knows whats to do which is a plus. MC quickly adapts to his situations (i.e. Learning to kill). The concept of buying buildings and using real-life currency as a power/ability is refreshing. However, the MC levels up way too quickly and is inconsistent with the background and makes me ask some questions such as did this Hwanmong recently come to Earth, if so, then wtf did all those Transcendants come from? And if not, wtf man, did they... more>> use stones to buy buildings in the prehistory era? And how come the MC has become a soverign just when a new batch is required?

Still at least it made me think so I will give 4 stars for its immersivity in its world. <<less

I will give five in the beginning part and give 2 in the latter part.

You see in the beginning, I super like the idea of this novel about the fate of people who got the mysterious power of Hwanmong. I like that the coin of fate the MC got have two side: Management and War. The concept is in real world, people fight with management system by doing business and use the money they got to buy building to got a better location base in Hwanmong and in Hwanmong, people... more>> fighting for real with real war and death on the line. Losing is going to hell and the winner got everything! This idea is super cool!! It just make me think that wow! How clever of this author! How can he think of this idea so thrill!
But the later half, the author just lose all aspect of this idea. It make me wonder how can a management of fate of MC go out the window. He is super overpower with luck stat and level in Hwanmong and make his power in real life go super over power that he did not have to manage anything and throw some money around without managing anything at all. Where the fate of manage of that coin go to?

edit again: I can not stand this anymore, there are still 62 chapters for me to go until the end but the MC became too gary sue for me. You should call him luckiest dimensional sovereign now. Every artifact will easily got into his hand. Every powerful enemy/beautiful female will got into his household and become his subodinate without a fight. So nothing can harm him anymoreeeee. I used to think if he go out of earth and got into another realm there will be a change and I thinkg I confirm that there is no change in that vicious loop now. Drop~~~~ I am regreting this waste pontential, the beginning is so wonderful. T^T <<less

Well, it has its ups and downs but it's a good read nonetheless. OP MC genre, money making, game element themed, typical Korean LN. The most interesting though are not the MC but the world of Hwanmong itself, the game system, the items, literally, it's a real life game.

Full Review:

If you fancy a Novel where the pacing is like an Role Playing Game similar to Diablo 2, Final Fantasy, and others of such where the Quests and the storyline seems to have been predestined, then this is a Novel for... more>> you.

However, if you're looking for something with deep character developments and more realistic, and an MC who is not bound by plot armor, then you're reading the wrong novel. <<less

ret*rd novel, MC was s*upid, MC being simp to the point that he will not kill his enemy as long as it is a woman, rather he would still comfort them even though they tried to kill him!, can't imagine that author's brain would reach that level of s*upidity, this was f*cking disgusting MC only thinking about his dck, also this sh*t was full of plot armor you could literally say MC was still alive because of it, the worst novel of toika was hundred times better than this shit

5⭐ for enjoyment. To be honest, it doesn't deserve such rating but I did enjoy it. The MC is just way too lucky, picking up and doing rare things as easily as breathing. The author does reason this with the MC's good luck stat. But it's too much. The wish fulfillment aspect is also higher, to the point that you won't see the MC ACTUALLY lose and struggle.

Too bad, the plot is quite unique and interesting, just that the author rushed it out and made things way simpler.

This story is really simplistic. The plot and characters aren't in anyway thought provoking, just short and simple. No other way to really describe it. While this novel may be nothing all that great, it's well above average and I enjoy it for what it is. Moreover, there aren't many chapters either, so I found it a well worth it read to pass time.

Extremely poor creativity, I big fail for a fantasy/sci-fi novel.

Fortunately it isnt that bad here, however, is indeed -poor creativity- in this case.

Although it can be easily seen he wasnt going for something serious, Oren does seem to care about the novel rationality, in a sense. Because there is as many loopholes as dear old supreme MGA is. As for plotholes, fortunately almost none, very good.

However thats nowhere where a good nor decent novels stands at; HSP managed to f*cking create something so great for his first damned novel, here... more>> I can tell he had passion about his work, but just simple wasnt skilled or hard working enough because I can tell he couldve just do something, anything; to not make the most annoying mistakes when creating a new plot.

Hey, a short novel, if you expect him to grow as slow as a 2k novel with only 10 lvl realms then you may as well expect the best romance out of a comedian show for kids, ffs.

Management tag is definitely a pseudo. Fights are nice, when Oren isnt thinking that he must do something else, for anything else they are quite short and well explained that you more or less easily are able to tell the movements and colour of their skills and hits, I very much liked; just disliked enormously when he tried to do any other "unexpected" shit, really annoying.

*sigh...*

Tbh the 2 stars are well deserved, but as for recommendation, ill definitely would recommend it to everyone, is good but dont expect it to enter the "Really Important" novels for asian novels. <<less

Just finished this novel and I think, while it is not a superb one, it is rather entertaining. I would personally rate it a 3.6/5 if possible. The RPG-like premise seems really interesting early on but the author seems to have lost the plot as the chapter count increases. MC was made too OP (imagine clearing Pewter Gym with a Blastoise) that author had no choice but to skim through the arcs to accommodate MC's growth. The 'romance' was redundant and had minimal impact to the overall plot. Despite the... more>> shortcomings, the novel was still entertaining and easy to read as the scenes were adequately described. <<less
