Daily Life of a Villain’s Mother

Ye Fan suddenly became the villain’s mother after transmigrating into a novel. She fell into a scheme and gave birth to the villain, the son of ‘Film Emperor’ He Han who had no knowledge of having a child.

Ye Fan was a stand-in for a famous young actress, and the person she had to film an intimate scene with actually happened to be that ‘Film Emperor’.

The original Ye Fan abandoned her son, and when the matter was revealed to the public, she was completely drowned in hate by the netizens. Fortunately, the villain son had yet to grow up, and the ‘Film Emperor’ knew nothing about it.

So all Ye Fan needed to do was raise her child with the mentality of a buddha.

However, on the film debut right after an award ceremony, the matter of Ye Fan’s illegitimate child was exposed, shocking the entire net.

It was something completely unexpected.

He Han, the prince of silver screen, who had always kept a clean and self-conscious image had a press conference that very day.

“There is something I’ve been hiding from everyone. I have a three-year-old child.”

I have mtl this novel, I can't put my finger on the parts that I dislike the ML. I really hate him!

Most important he's stalker, really. I tried to read this novel twice but I drop this again. It really irritante me how the ML acts and how the MC react.

It should have been a nice read but no! I'm pissed off! The ML is like the god whenever he appears, like the air he breaths is gold, wth?! I know that he is the ML but what? The way... more>> that it's excessive repeated his breath attribute its annoying. There's better novels out there. The autor may have wanted to put a god like ML but nope, it didn't succeed.

I don't know about others but to me it's only one star at most. <<less

Good Plot, Though the book has nothing to do with a 'Villain' child and his mother, Dudu as a villain was never futher explained. The title can be changed. Other than that, the last concluding chapters were nice and explained the full story and each character's reason for their actions (somewhat).

It's a little higher-than-average read in my opinion. Definitely something that I'd re-read in my sparetime. It doesn't deserve a 5/5 stars because its overall a very generic and basic story, but it's definitely able to get at least 3/5... more>> or 4/5 stars. <<less

Not a review a rant

Note- I mtled but the translator for the first 20 something chapters did an awesome job

The review, in particular, is about the plot

... more>> spoiler]

so far the main lead He HAN accepts the female lead YeFan's child as his own not knowing it is his own and there are this Aunt Chen and her daughter xiao... and tang jin was prominent first but later on became quiet there is obviously a lot other plot arcs then the daughter lost one

But is it super slow so like no just no please get to the point

People say but the fluffiness is soo hard to achieve what I mean is you have to go through unnecessary plots to arrive there and when I am soo close to it I GIVE UP

I don't find it satisfying anymore

I do like that the male lead likes the child before he knows it is his so yeah he is accepting guy but if he was so accepting it should not have been his child in the first place but just for the sake of purity it is HIS

a Very frequent thing in Chinese novel but I like them in most cases so fine

The drama is common after I have so many similar novels

So Showbiz novel I declare them the least of my taste

I love this novel. It's a bit heavy on the drama between MC and ML, but most of the time they're pretty calm. The baby villain is a thoroughly good baby in the novel, though I would really love if there's a side chapter about the supposed villain going back to time and seeing himself having a happy family. But the ending of the novel is fine for me. At least there's no cliche of MC getting pregnant and giving birth to a girl in this novel. Both MC and... more>> ML agreed to only have one child which is the baby villain and I think it's good. Some words of precautions tho, prepare your tissues cuz some plots are pretty teary. <<less

Here's a bag of salt not a grain. This is more rant than review but may contain spoilers that could affect your enjoyment of the story.

Aight. Felt the need to clarify something that I pray the author might see through the magic of the internet. (Not likely but still) I like this story well enough. The plot is based around the suspense of a broken family. Love the little cinnamon roll and all that. HOWEVER, I CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH HOW LITTLE I CARE ABOUT HER JOB AND THE CELEBRITY DRAMA.... more>> I. Just. Don't. Care. After 200+ chapters I just skim unless the ML or bun is mentioned. It seems like a romance drama anime but half the episodes are slice of life filler. <<less

It was kinda annoying?

Idk it was weird, I think it just dragged on too long. I mean 200 chapters and there's been little to no progress in anything. Their relationship hasnt improved, nobody else knows about lil Dudu, the MC hasn't had any involvement with anybody apart from the important characters which is a bit boring.

Also the MC's attitude isn't that great, she supposedly finds him "revolting" but she doesn't say no to anything he does.

The ML is also a bit too pushy tbh, he knows he's making her uncomfortable... more>> but he keeps pushing. I can't being myself to like him. <<less

It was okay. I kind of regret giving it 3 starts instead of 2. It was just really boring. It was different yet cliche. It was slow and dragged on. The romance was plain and confusing.

Spoiler

They knew each other from their first lives but if you ask me it wasn't really romance. They emailed each other. He was lonely and her music saved Gina ND in gratitude he saved her with his support and financial support. As far as I know at the end of their lives they didn't really regret leaving the other behind. It was interest, gratefulness, and dependency but I couldn't see it as love.

The fML clearly said she didn't really know what she felt for H but then changes it to saying she has liked him for 10 years. It didn't seem like she missed him until really late in the story. She didn't love He Han but all of a sudden she finds out he's H and she likes him. Like girl please. If she didn't fall for human s a person then was it really love. I mean he might have loved her but he clearly wouldn't accept no as an answer for his love.

She just seemed really in need of love and she grasped the person that gave her help. He was her light in the darkest times. I don't know it could have been love but it just wasn't delivered that way. At least to me, it just seemed to be dependency on her part.

The romance that was really slow became super fast out of nowhere and that just wasn't it for me.

There are problems that I don't get an answer. Like what happen 3 yrs ago? Is that the ML or not since 3yrs ago he transmig. What happen to Tang Jin? And why their surnames doesn't change, especially Dudu?? Many things happen fast that it's so unrealistic. I think there was Ye Fan parents convo, but there's none. Even the acting, I'm really speechless that does happen in just 1 year. The FL is unrealistic for me, but she's a good mom.

It's so cliche, but overall the story is good.

When I say it's cliche, it is cliche. However! I will read it again!! It's so good!! I know that it's unjustified how the ML can suddenly act without any training or what but!! I swear this novel is satisfying!!

And I didn't know that it would have this kind of plot. I was caught off guard but it's so good!!!

There might be spoilers in my comment so read at your own discretion, I'm not in the mood to put so many spoiler tags.

I really liked this story in the beginning but as I read more chapters I started thinking the author has never been a child. What kind of 8yo is forced by their parents to take an afternoon nap? Or speaks even more childishly than a 3yo?

Also, I hope they don't own fishes or have never owned them, especially goldfishes, they actually require somewhat big tanks and a... more>> 3yo can in no way carry a fishtank that size by themselves. I'm going to ignore all other inacuracies concerning the fishes since I haven't owned one since childhood but still... Fishes aren't pets you get just for fun and don't take proper care of.
Getting back to the actual story, it's decent. An average cliché slow romance, nothing special but I do enjoy the ML's character, especially towards Dudu. I think what's keeping me reading it is the fact I want to know how the ML will actually attempt to get the FL to like him and the HE awaiting to happen. Also, like some stories with this trope I've read, I hope he's also transmigrated and that they were already in love before this but just not in a relationship.

A solid 3.5 so far but I'll give it a 4 because I know I'll enjoy the ending. Even if it takes 1000 more chapters. I'm that devoted. <<less

It is my first "Villan" related story to read so I obviously have a lot of positive reviews for it. I love the characters a lot and I'm basically waiting for family reunion. I am a HanYe simp. Though there haven't been much progress in anything other than Ye Fan and Dudu's relationship so it kind of gets boring in that aspect but looking at the bigger picture "He Han Ye Fan and Duo Duo" being together is motivating me to continue reading it and I'm genuinely enjoying it. It... more>> is something that I look forward to.

Overall it's an 'okay' novel. It's just that the progress of the story was so repetitive that brought the rating down. It was especially so after they got together officially. I was hoping it would improve but alas, IT DIDN'T.

It was kinda unique for me in that

Spoiler

they were both transmigrators.

But other than that, there wasn't anything notable in this novel except that it's fluff and no annoying in-laws and such.

This is very cute because of Dudu. While her rise to fame may be too fast, being able to have a reliable backer and getting the right roles open doors to stardom. She's a bit of an OP in this aspect but I just came from a novel where the MC can do everything perfectly so the Ye Fan isn't that OP for me. It's pretty nice and chill to read. The romance is just beginning to bloom but I think the pace is just right.

I give it a 4... more>> because the plot is very simple and some of the characters are very 2D. <<less

Cliche but cute.

Although the plot is pretty generic and unbelievable in the way that only a CN is, the characters are well written and it's a enjoyable light read. Just don't think too much about the premises and you will like it just fine.

DISCLAIMER!!! I might sound like I really hate this novel. But like I said, the interactions are fluffy and fun to read, and if you're okay with not thinking too much into your entertainment, like I am, then I think you'll enjoy this novel, despite the bewildering setting, and slightly cliche points that I will point out below.

I mean, the MC was switched/stolen as a baby from a rich family, and her baby switching mother was emotionally abusive. If you dwell on that for 15 seconds, you will rapidly start wondering why the fake mom even kept her around. Since she's given her real child a better place to live already, why raise the one that isn't yours. The fake mom is pretty cold, so keeping the baby was weird. If she's worried about how to dispose of a baby, newborns dying isn't hard, because babies are REALLY fragile. And fake-mom doesn't really have a conscience when it comes to MC, as is shown pretty early in the story. Not to mention that that the girl she got switched with turns out to be a horrible person that develops a huge inferiority complex due to realizing that she isn't blood related to her parents. Like normally one would think that parents that have poured so much love into you wouldn't take you for less just because you turned out to be not related. But no, she becomes a spoiled villains brat.

Also, like many CN "transmigration" novels, you start forgetting that the MC is transmigrated real soon. And then the story will bring it back jarringly to give the MC some special ability that would have been impossible for the original person to have. In this novel, the part that has to be forced in is the MC's godly music skill. Since if anyone has taken music lessons (which most people take to become skilled in an instrument as opposed to learning off YouTube.) you will know that generally it's pretty damn expensive. Especially violin and piano. A good quality instrument is also incredibly costly (and there's really no reason to get a cheap one if you're already investing the money for the aforementioned expensive lessons). Now with our originally-suffering-from-childhood-neglect MC, her fake mom probably wouldn't be much willing to spend money on her, much less invest in her musical education enough to develop god-level skills. Insert transmigration. "Oh right, MC isn't the actual mother of the child that she dotes on for 80% of the chapters. She's actually a genius musician that easily gets over leaving her whole world behind and is not taken aback by basically adopting and caring for a child on the merit that now the child has no mother, because I'm in his mom's body. And the world is a novel, so MC knows that the family is actually fake, even though no one remembers what the plot of the novel was and it's pretty generally irrelevant." And to add the proverbial cherry on top, the ML is pretty stereotypically perfect as of now. Handsome, indifferent cold, like all Chinese CEOs (even though the guy's an actor, but he's a major shareholder in the MC's company and does some pretty typical CEO moves to pull a few strings here and there.)

Well, a subverted trope is that the baby, while bright, isn't a genius who's taking care of his mom. Like I said, the mom-son interactions are cute. It shows the good side of taking care of children. (Well, though I seem to remember all the frustrations of taking care of my little sister a lot more, and I didn't even do really anything compared to a mother. For reference, we only have a six year age gap so there wasn't that much I could do in the first place...)

[collapse]

It's a fun read and good for when you brain is on low power mode. No complicated plots or politics. Bonus low power mode stat for not having that many characters so you aren't suck with name confusion. I like reading this when I'm stuck in a tough essay, when I just want to turn my brain off for a bit and take a bit of a mental break. <<less

I think everyone has psychic powers or something cuz they are really good at knowing who's family.

MC biological mother didn't have a close relationship with fake daughter before even knowing about MC.

When ML first met his son (without Mc) he felt the child was familiar to him.

SISSSSS! This novel is so cute and heart-warming... It straight up gave me baby-fever!!

I absolutely love the fluffy interactions between the MC and her baby ? the plot, although predictable, is still realistic and not filled with all that overly dramatic, dog-blood drama BS that usually happens....

Although some may say it's boring, I feel the way the MC deals with her sudden circumstances (schemes by her haters) using practical methods, and the fact that she readily adapts and gradually develops a sense of belonging with her new identity, brings real... more>> depth to her character.

Spoiler

MC transmigrates into a novel and became a single mother (cannon fodder) of the novel's villain. Her baby-daddy is famous/rich and not in the picture. Of course she doesn't know the guy, has no feelings for him, and remembers that the original owner got pregnant through despicable means, so it's only natural the current her doesn't seek him out.

The person she falls in love with at first sight, is the original body owner's son, three year-old baby Dudu. In her previous life she was an orphan who lived alone, so now she has a son who she recognises as her "most important person" (a common theme throughout the novel), she works hard to support their household and teach her child to be a good person, steering him away from a future of being a villain.

Yes, there is a male lead for her current life's story (the baby-daddy) but their development is kinda meh as most of the time she's indifferent to his actions (dude falls first and the poor thing falls hard hahaha)... However, you should know that this story focuses more on the MC developing her career and adapting to newfound motherhood, so her son takes precedence over the ML.

[collapse]

The translation for this novel is absolutely superb? A light read filled with sweetness, this novel I definitely recommend.

This novel started very well but by this point I just feel it has been too dragged out. The child is not only FL you do not get preggo by yourself lady! I know she wants what is best for the child but when the kid himself is so in love with his 'uncle' and wants to see him every day do you not stop for a second and think? A father has a right to know especially when the father is caring and understanding. So what is the point... more>> in dragging this secret for so long? Protectiveness? Yes, of course, but mostly it is FL insecurities and selfishness too. She admits it herself it was only her and the baby and she does not want the father to steal her baby. The key for here is father! How can you think like that? At the beginning yes everyone needs time to adjust but my god how long will it drag on?

I might go back and finish this novel at some point later but I just ca't make myself red further any longer. <<less
