The story is a newish take on the noir genre - detective story meets parallel universe with different (but relatively similar) beings. It's light enough to be read without too much worry about following the plot, but interesting enough to keep you checking for updates. Also, no complains about the translation - top notch quality.

As for the story itself, an island pretty much appeared from nowhere, connecting Earth and a different dimension (or something to that effect, it's been a while since I've read the first chapters). A lot happened... more>> - including some war - and now we have a city in this island where earthlings and people from that other dimension coexist. Their society is somewhat medieval - but with magic - and a warrior princess from there comes here because of a case; meet our heroine: Tilarna Exedilica. She then partners with Kei Matoba, a detective, and there's our story. I'm a sucker for noir, so I'm hooked. <<less
