Daon entered with graceful, fluid movements and stopped at the center of the banquet hall.

Ixor crossed his legs and chuckled softly.

“As a ruler, tonight, I will claim you.”

She didn’t even have time to resist. In one swift motion, he pulled her face close to his. Daon clutched his shoulders with both hands, struggling to hold herself steady.

His breath, mingled with the sharp scent of alcohol, was hot, and his dark, glinting eyes were chillingly ruthless.

“I’ll have you, even if it means killing everyone.”

Ixor declared in a husky voice.

She took in the overwhelming, primal scent of him without turning away-the sticky intensity of his desire wafting from his shoulders, mixed with the smells of sweat and blood.

“If it takes building a mountain of corpses, so be it. Do you understand?”

He kissed her with his eyes open. It was a cold kiss.

“Remember this. Whether you’re young or old, alive or dead, even your corpse belongs to me.”
