Xia Yi: Farming is so exhausting.

Gu Wen Zhu: I’ll help.

Xia Yi: I don’t want to have a child.

As the worlds mixed up, the characters in the cultivation novel frequently appeared beside him.

The whole thing was a mess, traveling between two worlds. Claiming to be relatives with people, arranging a marriage, becoming sworn brothers with others…

Fun, fun story to read! There is a lot of fourth wall breaking happening between the MC and his system. Main system had a bug which mixed up the two novels MC is reading. So after he transmigrated we got an ML that is of a different brainwave, the perpetually MIA System Tech that got roped in a pyramid scam and the more unreliable MC's System that is one heck of a character. Freaking hilarious.

I don't get why other people are expecting this to be purely "farming" story when it's... more>> OBVIOUS in the title that it's not. Yes, it's THAT fantasy kungfu "cultivate" term LOL. Rating 5s to help bump it up.

TBH, I'd say don't take the plot too seriously. It's fun. It is a cross between farming and cultivation system, took out all the boring xianxia and farming details and put together all the hilarious parts. It may be short but those who were looking for laughs will thoroughly enjoy this.

I have got to be reading something different than what the other reviewers have been. I must be, because I'm dropping this at around chapter 20-something and I'm not even sure how I managed to push myself that far.

I read one comment that said it was better than the other farming novel that randomly added cultivation, mpreg, court intrigue and business into a slice of life novel. But let me be clear, that novel (the name of which I have forgotten) was so SO much more interesting than this mess.

That... more>> novel kept you engaged even if it was solely because of the drama. It was interesting. This? Bro, there's literally mention of cultivation from the very jump. It would have been fine if it was just in passing, but he crosses worlds and then some random elder crosses over there and I'm sure that's not even going to be the end of it.

Then, what farming? The MC probably does maybe one real work load the rest is handled by the ml, who does everything else. The MC is in charge of breathing and he barely does that right. One minute he's b*tching and complaining about the pe*verted world and how he hates it and he'll never comply with it. Then the next he's in love with the ml. The ml, on the other hand was stuffy and quiet and initially kept his distance but then somehow became smiley and gentle, loving everything about the MC. The author just threw sh*t at the wall and went with whatever stuck.

I honestly just don't get it. I tried to stick with it but the translation was lackluster and the story bored me. I tried to get to the childcare part cause if I'm honest that's the only part I like about mpreg shit, but I couldn't stand it.

don't read this. Like, if you're someone that can't turn your brain off while reading, or need at least a modicum of logic within a novel. Run. <<less

at first it will be about farming then there will be d cute interaction/misubderatandings first of MC and ML haha. There's the twist in the story transmigrating vice versa of worlds (read it !)

And knowing more about MC and ML past. ML is so caring and loving to the MC ;_; MC is also straightforward and he's loveable for me.

Very quick and will touch your heartstrings especially about familial affection &care

Finished reading it with MTL.

Honestly, with the rating, I didn't want to read it, but my curiosity won, so read it, even with MTL.

And I dont regret it. AT ALL

Yes. As other said, farming is not the focus here. So those who expect it to be "farming novel" will be disappointed.

Buuttttt, personally I REALLY LIKE THIS.

No dogblood drama.

Short story (69 chapter).

There is plot.

Some comedic that mafe me laugh

Note: BEWARE of the tragic past.

Ahh, and for translator, you always did great translation. Will read the translation when it's completed.

I tried my best to find the good points in this novel, but the MC and plot made it harder to like it.

The MC was infuriating and annoying to read, little to no character development and just when I thinks he gets a better, he just goes back to where he was in the beginning. All the hard work and chores basically go to the ML, besides at the beginning where it mentioned him farming or maybe the occasional cooking, the ML does everything. Instead of saying they're a couple,... more>> they're more like master and servant (albeit the s*xual kind and slightly less dark). It's always, MC throws tantrum and ML cleans up after himself, or MC gets in trouble, ML saves him. I think one of the parts in their relationship that infuriated me the most was whenever there would be misunderstandings, the MC would immediately jump to conclusions, throw a huge tantrum, get really mad at the ML, and then the being the good guy that he is, the ML just sucks it up and caters to the MC. Then the MC throws in small apology as if he wasn't just a piece of scum for not even asking or communicating with the ML in the first place.

I feel like the author just throws in random pieces of drama to make the story flow, but in actuality the drama just makes the MC's character more dreadful and scummy.

Also the "cultivating with the hoe" doesn't even really exist. He gets rewarded some foundation drinks or something, never uses it until many chapters later because someone reminded him of it. Stays in the cultivating world and does not cultivate because he's lazy. I don't really mind farming novels, but when it's advertised as a cultivating novel too, there should be some cultivating involved. <<less

I like the idea of the plot, , it's interesting to know MC and ML's real identity and past self, , tho if author deepened how they write their past (oc angst) I would reluctantly give it 5 ⭐ 🥺

One of the past is when Wang Lan killed and dried from his blood to make medicine.

If author more exaggerate and write it longer maybe I can catch the sad part, but it's just few sentences which say...

"it's hurts... I can't speak.. I want to see Ze Yuan ge..."

... the summaries at least.

Also where Ze Yuan see Wang Lan's corpse. Chinese usually use dramatic description to convey the feelings but it's more like skipped by the author.

The story is still good tho...

I read the MTL and it's so easy to read except for the few part like where they explain how the world got overlapped 🤔

I enjoy this story that I finish this in one day, , where I have exam in the next day, , 😭😭 <<less

But I gotta admit that other than the summary that interested me, the number of chapters hooked me in bcz... why not lol it’s a number that can still make me giggle like chipmunk in front of the holy grail of nuts (get it? No? Okay... I’ll end now)

The pluses were more than the slump after the half way mark where the details were sparse and speeded up a bit too much so this story still deserves a high score. <<less

Just so so. Ok read, not too bad with some highlights.

The first 13/14 chapters dragged on and on to the point that I wondered if there really is any cultivation part. You really have to hold on a while until it gets better.

Unfortunately the MC is often annoying. He is working "hard" but basically doing nothing. ML is doing everything from farming to cooking, sewing and all the other things. MC is there for the drama, being unreasonable to a crazy degree, looking cute and carrying a system. Though he... more>> has his good and fun moments too. The background story wasn't bad but somewhat rushed at times.

All in all it's not a special story but it's ok to read once. <<less

I have been waiting for this novel translation to complete before reading this novel. I was already eager to read this because I Love the other works of the Author and I trusted the Site of the Translation, I believe it would be as good. And I'm not Disappointed!

This novel is Bizarre Epic Win Beyond any Existing Expectations! The piles of Mystery that made me theorizing and theorizing until finally everything revealed in a way I would never expect but it make sense, the Author is definitely one of Best... more>> Novelist EVER!!! Believe me, the story and all Absurd and Funny Moments are not Random!!! It's NOT Messy!!! When every puzzle pieces being put together, it make Great Story! The author definitely know what they write, how funny they deliver it, and emotional at some moments, but definitely always intriguing !!!

Truly Absolutely EPIC BIZARRE GOLD WIN NOVEL EVER!!!!

Also never doubt the ML. The author clearly know how to write Best Doting ML !!! MC is also Epic Funny!!! They both flawed but also Lovable characters! The Love Story is Always So Good!!! The other Characters is also Intriguing and Funny!!!

This author comes up with so many novel ideas and interesting approaches to stories that it's always fun to read and see what they will come up with next, As usual, the story is tightly plotted and everything has a purpose. Characters are well developed and even side characters who may show up only briefly distinct personalities. The dialog has a nice pop to it. The serious/fluff/comedy moments are well balanced. And the story is just as long as it needs to be. These are all consistently good features in... more>> Little Baldy's writing.

Things that I especially liked in this story.

  1. Our MC, the shou, is not a shy guy. When he decides he wants his man he goes for it. The gong is the more reserved and shy of them, but always goes along. The author even found a way to make the MC's first estrus really funny!
  2. The system has a personality. Not just, functional/non-functional, but an actual personality and we hear about other systems that work with it. It also does more than just show up for missions.

  3. World building, especially in cultivation novels and ancient novels can some times bog down the plot, but this story has both and manages to give just enough detail and scenery to build things out without slowing the story.

basically MC has read two different novels (farming and cultivation) at the same time and transmigrates into the farming one. Apparently there was a problem, bc the system that he got was specialized in cultivation, so yeah they System management really has some problem haha

anyway so instead of cultivating to clear the tasks, he has to farm. After he arrived in this world, he was picked up by ML, bc apparently ogMC was looking for his aunt, who is also MLs stepmother? So yeah, ML saved MC and basically gave him a place to live. Whenever MC praised him and stuff, he’s flush and also be unhappy. Why? Bc of course this is a world with Gers 👁👁 you know, the men that can get pregnant. Yeah so basically ML thinks MC is really shameless to so openly flirt with him. (Though MC is just behaving normally, since he didn’t have the mentality of a Ger)

Stuff happen and I guess ML really figured out that MC never had these thoughts. They care for each other, MC is touched to be cared for and then they fall in love :)

Oh, and as I’ve said, they System always have some problems. MC was transmigrated into the wrong world, and later more and more cultivators from the other world transmigrated over, though they also get to be sent back. (Therese ppl always look for MC since he knows what going on and helps them) to all the other villagers, these ppl seem to be a little crazy haha since MC also sometimes transmigrates into the other world, he’ll disappear for a time... so he tol ML a little about it and he pretended to believe it. But he just thought MC is being brainwashed and the others are all swindlers haha

oh and he probably has another identity👀 he probably has a past, that he has forgotten, like that was originally from the cultivation world (highly possible, since the cultivators all seem to recognize him)

An interesting concept that would be easy to make incoherent and boring, which this author did.

I wasn't expecting much, but with it's moderately decent rating and the number of positive reviews, I thought it might at least be enjoyable.

... more>> A system that was useless and annoying, an MC that was idiotic and annoying, and a ML that was annoying. Basically a lot of annoying characters.

Couple that with a plot that mixes in everything it possibly can in every way that doesn't work, and you just get a mess of a novel trying to be funny, clever, and romantic while not succeeding at any of it.

If I could give advice to any author through the translator, I'd give this author this advice: Focus on ONE coherent plot, don't try to mix in too many genres, and try better at characterization.

This novel basically fails on all fronts. <<less

I greatly enjoyed this novel. It was funny and entertaining and I really can't understand some of the bad reviews.

I especially enjoyed how MC and ML where really close and didn't hide it at all. The romance was fairly early but it was very respectful. There was no forceful stuff at all. It was fluffy and had quite a few twists but don't worry it's not complicated.

I would totally recommend this novel especially if you are looking for something fluffy and a bit more calm :)

Heartwarming and engaging. I love how dedicated our ML is to our endearing MC. I also appreciate how the author made sure that there were no loose ends before ending the story. Considering how this novel ended with 69 chapters, I'm more than satisfied.

This is a comedic novel about a modern guy named Xia Yi who gets transmigrated into a farming world. But there’s a bug in the system - he was supposed to transmigrate to a cultivation world! The error causes him to end up straddling these two different worlds. And things get more complicated from there.

The plot is really interesting - the author keeps you guessing and there’s an over-arching mystery - and the patient and doting ML is very sweet to the hot-tempered and straightforward MC. The MC is really... more>> clueless in the beginning as he is in a world of gers and he himself is a ger without knowing what a ger actually is. *Cue the ML to take care of him.*

For me personally, the only complicated part of the story (where I took notes to avoid confusion) was the names of the cultivation world elders because each has a different title in addition to their name. Not too many elders but I thought it was still helpful to take notes.

Overall, it’s a short and entertaining read! Definitely recommend it. <<less

So far, this is a cute transmigration novel where the MC is from a modern world sent to one where there are gers, females and males. He has a system that has screwed up his transmigration, plays games and wants to be called a ger itself. It has comedy, and as of right now, a little bit of mystery; is the ML actually from the other world or maybe even the original world? Who knows?! Can't wait to find out!

I love farming novels, but only if they are decently done.

For one, I found the MC to be ridiculously annoying. Yes, I like silly characters, but not s*upid one.

... more>> Just like a previous review, the MC basically seem like a freeloader. He doesn’t seem to have an important existence in the story aside from being a MC with a system.

You would expect a more interesting MC and plot because of the title and summary, but nope. It is disappointing.

I will still continue reading it because it SEEMS to be getting better, but this novel will never be something I would actively recommend to anyone. It will not be something I would actively follow reading too.

I might just wait for it to be completely translated before continuing my read. <<less

I dropped it at 48 so nothing has been solved yet. The most progress is prob the relationship of MC en ML.

The story start of with the MC complaining and mooching of his housemate the Ml. After knowing a bit more information he's still as clueless as ever. Staring at women and men... who does that. He does work a bit harder later.

The MC characters is pretty much comparable with a coquettish mistress mixed with the MC of the Omega Vampire.

Carrying a hoe to..., MC doesn't carry it that much,... more>> harder works mostly go to the ML. The farming elements are quite light but if the autor focus on that the story won't be ending anywhere close to 70 chapters.

It's easy and light, so ppl who like those might like this. It kinda have the same tone as the General Omega Vampire. <<less

Truthfully getting to this chapter are not that easy. Story getting kinda boring with same old routine from MC. MC throws a tantrum, ML dotes, MC apologise.

Well actually he is not always like that. MC also has his moment like when he transmigrated on his wedding night, he keeps thinking about ML even though there are females cultivator dancing in front of him. He is so single-minded once he put his mind into something.

backstory slowly gets revealed and I kind of already assume MC and ML past identity. That’s where... more>> it gets boring. <<less

I really wanted to like this novel, but the MC refuses to use his two brain cells to think things through. It's annoying. Also, that system is truly a tr*sh system. It and the MC suit each other well. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄😫 Like, ALL the clues are there, but the MC is completely blind to it.

I'll continue reading this when I have enough patience to tolerate it.
