1. Writing: I understand the author wanted to have mystery, but the writing lacks foreshadowing, details, and transitions. It's jarring until u get used to it. But u don't get used to it bc it's a good piece of writing; you get used to it bc u want to read it. Skips will happen and you won't know until you figured it out loool. It's not bad, just mediocre. But it does get better when they stop trying to be mysterious and just show the past fully, aka ml's pov; the writing was a lot better there.

2. The characters like a somewhat problematic dynamic. It's ok but just personally never for me haha.

her quote: "She liked his previous aloofness and nonchalance, as well as his current serious desire for intimacy." The MC has a taste man. She tells us he never talked to her much in highschool and she always greeted him, but he always ignored her. b*tch, I'd be like what an ass. So am I shellshocked when she tells her friend she still likes him 7 yrs after? Yes. Ok we find out they shared two kisses in the past before.

Also, if u care, they're technically cheaters. They both made out with each (for the second kiss) while having a bf / gf in college. To top it all off, she has insecurities and so when she asks if he knows it's her he's kissing (bc he was supposed to be resting after drinking alcohol), he says his gf's name idk bc he was mad. Maybe bc she wouldn't say if she liked him. Probably bc she said she didn't like him, out of pride. (Idk but she will literally always call out to him first to say hi, even when they met after 7 years later she was the one who called out his name first, she is the one who asked him to go out for a movie when she had extra tickets (before they kissed for the 3rd time) so idk she doesn't seem to care about her pride so seems not true to character. Especially considering her actions and her quote I listed above) They're young college students at this time fine. It's giving young toxicity.

Also why did the 3rd kiss (when they meet again as adults) also have to do with the ML coming back after drinking alcohol again?? How utterly dull. What a typical event. Maybe it's more relatable idk.

Btw the biggest conflict is just the fact no one will ask "what are we" OR honestly communicate their feelings like healthy adults. They both need therapy. They're so avoidant types. the MC is either really toxic or really a badass independent b*tch; it depends if she's only saying those (mean) words to get a response out of him or if she really rather just keep him as a f*ckbuddy.

Besides how cliche this all is to me, I think this is probably a guilty pleasure for someone. Which is fair. Bc even I admit, especially in the latter half, it has the basic addictive qualities of a romcom. I get it.

who has been in love with the FL since young and had been waiting and enduring for her

Although, the FL was kinda sometimes a bit too far with her teasing and pushing. I think her love language is to speak it out. She won't believe it even if you show her actions. That's why she keeps on asking ML some questions.

FL likes this boy but she overheard him talk down about her family. With that, she started treating the boy with basic courtesy and tried to avoid him to lessen her feelings for him.

ML actually quickly changed his opinion about her family after knowing them for a while (there were lots of leech families that tried to act nice to them because of their riches, so ML thought their family is like that too but it aint.

Along the way, something happened that made ML notice FL. And he started catching feelings. But FL continued to avoid him except for the occasional greetings. And then some stuff happened that made ML think that FL might like him and that they might becomea couple, but all of that went down the drain when FL went far away for college.

Fast forward to years later, FL comes back and they coincidentally meet. This time, ML made some moves just to get FL. Like living in an apartment just across FL's, deliberately forgetting his keys just so he could sleep in FL's bed. Basically he started chasing, but FL thought it was just physical pleasure he was after but after knowing some hidden secrets like the cacti shop and the love letter, she finally realized that ML had been in love with her since long ago, and here starts her mission to tease the hell out of ML until he explodes and finally confesses.

They got together and got married.
