POSSIBLY SPOILERS: Most of these are my theories of what's going to happen, but I do include some current facts. If any of my theories are even partially right, then they could be counted as a spoiler.

Here are some things that I think will happen.

Theories

She won't live a perfect or 100% happy life with no hardships, and she won't get revenge on the the Main Male Protagonist's Family (Let's call him Male#1, since Male#2 is the little boy & is supposed to be the Lead Female's husband in the future.) The way she imagined, but she will get some sort of revenge. At the very least, she will get revenge on the Duke's Current Wife (Let's call her 'The Maid', since the only one who deserves to be a Royals' Wife is Daphne's Mom. Although the Duke doesn't deserve her.), maybe even the Duke himself. Who knows, maybe the Duke is a complete fool & was tricked by the maid. As we read in Daphne's Mom's - Her name is Freya <3 - side of the story (Where they recounted a little bit of her story, & how it seemed that her mind was foggy and she was... Cursed to only be able to think of the Duke, & be brainwashed to forget her own daughter. She acted like a robot, letting herself wither away. I believe she was cursed. Most likely by The Maid. The Maid is the true villain, and the Duke was most likely brainwashed or blackmailed. When he saw Daphne when he went to confirm Freya's death, he couldn't bring himself to look at Daphne because her hair reminded him of Freya. If he was hypnotized like Male#2 (R), it would've shown on his face. I assume The Maid somehow threatened his status as a Royal, or as the Duke. Now that I think about it, she could've also/instead made him fall in love with her. And, since I believe we heard that she got pregnant around that time, & all accusations had already been placed against Freya, maybe the Maid kept the news of Daphne away from him. No one ever informed him, right? The Maid probably used her status as the Duke's lover -Wife 😒- and ordered them not to deliver any news to the Duke as she claimed it would harm him too much emotionally, or she said the Duke personally sent her to interact with Freya. *He never visited Freya, we can assume that The Maid pretended that Freya never asked for a meeting or was violent.*, The last possibility is that she bribed/threatened the guards' jobs so they wouldn't inform The Duke. I suppose if they actually believed any of the accusations against Freya, they also could've withheld the information out of spite. The Duke said that Daphne wasn't his daughter when he met her, but he never really properly looked at her *or her golden eyes* because he was too ashamed. Perhaps he felt regret that had let Freya die, or had sentenced her there under false accusations without even a trial. Since he couldn't bear to look at Daphne, but cold look at Freya's body coldly, & we know from Grey's that she had hired private investigators, that the Maid could've made it seem like an attempted kidnapping. It's just sad the the Duke believed that Freya had gone crazy over love. In all/most stories where an innocent -Freya, the True Protagonist- is falsely accused or portrayed as a villain, it's always the one who the True Protagonist seemed to have wanted to/tried to harm. The family & friends of the True Protagonist might of tried to speak up for her, but weren't allowed to visit -as Freya couldn't get word out to anyone-, they could've been bribed for their silence, threatened, or killed. They always make the person who seems to be the real bad guy/instigator -The Duke- choose a new love and 'convincing' evidence over their long-term love & innocent person. Overall, in the end he'll probably apologize and be forgiven or because of the amount of time it takes Daphne to 'get revenge', or force the truth out, he will of been thoroughly brain-washed by The Maid & the daughter that they had together & actually raised, that he will turn his back on Daphne since he doesn't know her, or perhaps because over time & as she grows up, she will of changed her attitude and seem cold to him so he will probably insult her and call her A Wicked Woman, too. Of course, since she will be an adult by then perhaps she won't care. I would -sadly- kind of prefer this over Daphne forgiving him because if he was (seemingly) that easily brainwashed, & didn't investigate at all then he deserves to be punished. Since Daphne might feel some sort of a faint (he doesn't deserved to be called family) blood tie/blood responsibility or respect, although she hated him in her youth (and might feel the hatred fade a little bit because over time she knows how hard relationships are & may see how brainwashed he was/is.) She also knows her mother wouldn't want her to kill her biological father. perhaps she'll understand him in a twisted sort of way. Anyways, out of some sort of messed up pity for him or out of love/respect for her mother, she'll spare him. Usually, some else would up killing him or he is sent to live in a prison or poor place. He'll DEFINITELY lose his status as Duke, and probably be sent to live out his live doing menial labor. I hate the stories where the fools' get to join the family after someone has suffered for so long and many have died. Since everyone wants a villain, you'll probably assume she'll kill him, but she won't because although she didn't know her mother very well, she can't betray her mother that way. -- If her mother will be reincarnated, then perhaps she will know her mother

DAPHNE DAPHNE DAPHNE DAPHNE DAPHNE DAPHNE

-- Okay, I got off-track when I just wanted to say one main thing and not all of my theories. --

As you guys can see in the Book/Novel/Stories cover art, you can Daphne & a little boy. I am SO SURE that the little boy is the Male Lead in the second part of the original story-book. He has black hair (a little bluish ends I think, but his eyes ARE CLOSED. Why else would they close them except to make it harder for you to recognize him? Wouldn't his purple reptilian eyes be so recognizable, & probably hard to draw? 😅). I firmly believe that he is Ragnar. Perhaps he is allowed into the family -although I bet if it were to happen it would be over time because he was with the other assassin that hurt Daphne, & he killed someone in front of her. In the original story, it might've just been him, or he wasn't able to hit anyone because everyone else there is an adult.- But I don't believe he will be adopted/be recognized as a possible successor. He won't be allowed in the family that way. I bet he'll become Daphne's friend/playmate. If he wasn't hypnotized or lived his whole live as an assassin and ab*sed, it'd probably be creepy to lock someone up as if they're a plaything... No, but that's STILL not what I'm trying to convey. In the original story, he falls in love and marries The Duke & The Maid's daughter (I forgot the Maid's name, & the Daughter's name since they weren't mentioned a lot.), but it would make for a better story if Ragnar fell in love with Daphne, & her him. That way, The Duke's family could be seen as evil from Daphne's side because she doesn't know the whole story of what happened to her mom. The Duke's Daughter from his second marriage might have a crush on Ragnar, or meet him -AND Daphne somehow. it's be fun to see how that plays out. If Daphne likes Ragnar, or they are dating, would she feel awkward seeing who he is supposed to love? Or jealous, because the Duke loves his daughter and pampers her but threw Daphne away like tr*sh? No, that's not right, since at least tr*sh was used and in good condition at some point. Even used affectionately. If my theory about the Duke not believing or knowing he even had another daughter, then perhaps the story could be viewed differently since Daphne has lived her whole life believing he abandoned her for no reason.

The daughter will become as evil as the maid, & she might like Ragnar when they get older. Or, since she was supposed to fall in love & marry him & they were supposed to get through hardships together, I assume she will become evil, act spurned, & full of hatred. If the story had changed, her mother might've ab*sed her, or her mother took her under her wing and taught her to walk on the dark side. *Could her father of ab*sed her?!?!* over being alone, & perhaps instead of dealing with her issues in a morally conscientious way with someone by her side, she'll turn to a... Darker Method...)

Oh, also, I'm on Chapter 18, but I skipped forwards a bit just to find out what Ragnar looked like to further prove my theory. (Theories?). Please don't make fun of this & thanks for reading!!!
