MC is the adopted daughter of the Wen family. Her adopted parents weren't able to conceive so they adopted her. Afterward, they were able to have their own daughter. It is evident that they love their real daughter more than MC. When MC's sister stole her designs, her parents turned a blind eye, even knowing that it was MC's.

The Wen family's business was on the brink of bankruptcy so MC's adopted father and sister planned to implicate ML by drugging him and having him show up in MC's sister's hotel room during an event. Fortunately, he realized what happened under the influence and was able to escape. Unfortunately, he escaped into MC's room instead while she was changing and was caught. The two were forced to get married. MC's adopted father want shares to ML's company as a bridal dowry and ML's father only agrees once MC gives birth to a son. MC thinks that once she gives birth to a child, her adopted father can have his money and she can divorce ML and leave. So on the night of their wedding, she asked ML for a baby. After interc**rse, ML leaves the country.

After a month, finding out that MC is still not pregnant, ML's father demanded he comes back home. When he gets back, he tells MC that he has a mistress in the other country. MC gets upset and goes to the bar with the plan to pick up a male prostitute. She thinks that since ML's able to cheat on her, she ought to do the same. ML also wants her to cheat on him so that he can be free from her. She gets drunk and gets taken to a hotel room by a male prostitute while ML watches but at the last minute, ML replaces the male prostitute and sleeps with MC instead. The next morning, news abound that MC cheated on ML. ML's father is upset and demanded a divorce. MC was able to get ML to agree in exchange for signing the divorce paper, she wants him to help her enroll in the Milan School of Design.

At the civil bureau to sign their divorce papers, the Di family (ML's family) set up news reporter to make things difficult for MC. Annoyed, MC tells them that yeah, she slept with a male prostitute because ML is a "5-second" man. LOL. Enraged, ML kidnaps MC and proceed to turn 5 seconds to several hours. MC secretly recorded them and the next day, she used these photos to blackmail ML into getting the 10% company shares.

When she goes back to the Wen family to give her adopted father the shares he wanted, he was in the middle of a press conference announcing the Wen family's decision to sever ties with MC. MC tears up the share transfer book and leaves the country.

5 years later, MC comes back as the designer of a famous company collaborating with a new company "Dihao". As she heads to her hotel room, she gets pulled into another hotel room and gets kissed. MC and ML are both surprised to discover each other. ML calls her "wife" and she corrects him with "ex-wife". LOL. ML tells MC to help him out because he was drugged by his adopted sister (who wants to be with him). They proceeded to have interc**rse.

We find out that she had his twins, a boy and a girl. They are taken care of by a nanny and some bodyguards back in Italy. After the incident at the hotel, she checks out and decides to move into an apartment she had bought. ML, not wanting to stay at the family house due to his adopted sister's love for him, also moves into a company apartment that he uses when he needs to be closer to work. Fortunately for us, they end up being neighbors! LOL. MC was going to send for the kids to stay with her since she would be gone for more than a year but seeing that the kids' father is her neighbor, she decides to wait a bit.

It also turns out that the company "Dihao" belongs to ML so the two of them ends up being boss and employee. ML finds himself more and more attracted to her and vice versa.

First of all, from the few chapters that I read, I can tell that FL has weak resolve. What, cause your ex is so handsome you're going to go all blushy blush with him and not even fight for your best friend who's being insulted by tr*shy ML? What the hell. He litteraly made your marriage a disaster, your whole relationship with him was a disaster, but you're going to forgive him just like that. Also, why the hell won't you move away from that b*tch (ML).
