The concept of the beastkin tribe and their unique traditions and customs is interesting. Honestly, I really want to root for the FL but (facepalm) sometimes I just groan, ughhh, this lady from modern times is really... painfully, dense and slow witted. Not to mention, yes you're atheist, but would it kill you to show some respect for another culture's way of life and beliefs because you're in another world and living off their hospitality?

For someone who criticizes the beast tribe for being primitive, she's really not that bright herself... more>> either. I think the male characters are interesting but the story seems to drag in some parts as well as there's enduring the FL's antics. I just hope she gets some development and gain some insight and maturity eventually. Or imma drop this if she doesn't show any growth in later chapters. <<less

First of all, I really cried when I read this novel. My heartaches for her all males. Elvis, Lea, Snake, Gregory, and all the other males that have liked her and died for her yet she didn't appreciate it.

The FL is so s*upid so beware of feeling frustrations and irritations while reading. She have so many opportunities and advantages as an FL but she still need help to others that resulted to death. She is heartless and not decisive enough that's why people around her were being implicated.

She was portrayed... more>> here as a loving mother to the point of sacrificing everything but in the end, it didn't show as much. She pushed others yet pull them back whenever she wants to. Smh. Plus the fact that it have no stories about her children after adulthood.

But still, I enjoyed it. I laughed, cried, and anticipated every chapter. I really like all the mls and her suitors as they have different characteristics. It also have unique settings which intrigued me so much. Love ❤️!

P.s. I hope I transmigrated too, and I will marry all of them.🥺🤭

*Really the FL are so lucky! <<less

I love the story and the MLs, not much love for the MC. She's a bit of an airhead specially with our three MLs (snake king made me cry). Her s*upidity got fixed later on in the story but the first parts were a headache. World-building is okay and third ML made my heart break. All in all, I'm giving this a 4-star. It's not a 5 cause it isn't the best.

The story is not the best but it also isn't the worst I've read in its genre (girl transported... more>> to a primitive beast world and finds love among the many beastkins). I wish the story was as short as "Gentle Beast" cause honestly it was a pain reading thousand chapters of raws. World-building was slow at first, because the first 150+ chapters was dedicated to MC and two MLs getting to know each other, and basically airing out our MC's s*upidity. Once the first winter season comes, then the story finally moves on to world-building.

PLOT: (spoiler ahead)

Spoiler

The story follows our MC as she tries to get accustomed to the beast world. The first 100 chapters introduces us to our two MLs, Elvis and Lea. The first person she fell in love with was Lea, but though Lea reciprocates her feelings, he made the decision to reject her so that she could pick Elvis as her first husband. They believed that she's the God's messenger so she needed to take the tribe's leader Elvis as her first husband to keep her within the tribe before the whole beast world finds out that God's messenger has arrived. So, yeah, Lea broke her heart and chose the tribe over her feelings. He basically spends the next five hundred chapters acting as the MC's pet all so he could be near her, while our MC keeps pushing him away cause she believes in monogamy.

The first winter have them trapped in Elvis' cave. MC took Elvis as her first husband and got pregnant with four little wolves. This is where the world-building finally starts to pick up. As soon as winter finishes, a "beauty contest" leads our MC to the village of the previous God's messenger (the same tribe that kicked Lea out). There she meets Lea's brother and tribe leader (basically our misunderstood antagonist of the story). Lea's brother got interested in her, made up some plan that leads the MC to the thousand-year old snake king who was also the previous god's messenger's son. Snake King is our third ML who died trying to save the MC from poison. Lea's brother then kidnapped MC's second son and gave him poison. So the next thousand chapters is spent on MC looking for five treasures that can save his son.

[collapse]

All in all, I got headache reading such a long story. Through the various adventures, our MC grows and stopped being s*upid. The story is over a thousand chapters detailing 5 years of her adventure. So yeah, I recommend this story, but really be warned that it is sooooo long. <<less

This is a 1700+ chapter novel so I guess it's hard to nail down the final judgement before the entirety is out but what I can tell after getting past 1/3 of it is that;
1. The novel is mainly fixated on romance and drama (the are some ploys and bits of plot but it's really just background noise) So pro being MC is always surrounded by men, there's always flirting and drama in the air, not like some drama where the ML disappears for 1/2 of the entirety of... more>> the script or MC is busy dealing with family feuds.

2. The MC is shameless and condescending, shameless as in saying a lot of hypocritical things that always bites her in the arse later on & condescending as in looking down on the lifestyle of the current lifeforms despite that's their best option for survival) the saving grace is that she owns up to her bullsh*t and admits it and is self aware of her flaws

3. It's a reverse harem through and through, everything here is to cater to MC and highlight her and the men at he feet. Since they're also cavemen-beasts don't expect too much class or elevation

4. The writing really starts falling apart around 470+ on, everything in conversations appear to be loose, a sudden upgrade in speech that doesn't match their time and age

5. Exposure, ALL the drama and flirting is all done in public, even the PAPAPA has auditory audience, it made me at least feel super awkward.

5. Trigger Warning: emotional domestic abuse in form of threats, example "I'll kill myself if you leave me". Literal control freak, checks out almost everything on the list like,
-crossing boundaries and relentlessly pushes opposition's buttons
-believe they always know what's best for everybody
-dramatic, constantly creating guilt traps for the opposition
-constant mood swings, always unhappy if they did not get the desired attention
-keeping a score in order to slap it in your face for later quarrels
It's a form of serious mental sickness and not just some cute romantic lovesick drama.

Spoiler

As for whom, you can probably guess it's Lea, I did root for him in the beginning since MC didn't care for the wolf hubby at all and slowly it turned into pity for the both of them instead true love, a true puddle of messy relationship. She started to turn to Elvis after she was abandoned in a form of last straw to grasp on in the world she's unfamiliar with. Doesn't feel much like love, less to speak of true love, since her dependence on him after abandonment by her true first love is the root of their relationship.

At first, I believed this to be an interesting concept, having a human end up in a beast world. However, I gradually grew to dislike the FL's temperament. It's not like she does anything bad. However, I just couldn't handle how the change in being powerless to the most powerful being due to a sacrifice created. Especially her treatment of Wabei. I get that she doesn't like snakes, ... more>>

, but does she have to act like that? Her high and mighty attitude got infuriating as the chapters went on. Even her relationship with the people around her started to become unequal. This whole story is revolved around her alone, what with everyone treating her as a VVIP. There is no one who is her equal, even her partners. <<less

Doesn't really deserve 5 stars, but I did it to balance the awful amount of one star reviews. Just a warning before you even start reading, this is a reverse harem book, so if you're uncomfortable with the idea, don't bother reading. I generally like the concept of transmigration into a tribe of animal shapeshifters, since it's not a cliche idea you see in most other books. (At least those that have been translated.) Just not a great fan of the characters.
