Spoiler

At first it was bearable, although the plot is somehow cliched in having greedy relatives and jealous classmates stufd... Then more dogblood drama with beloved relatives dying at a time, then betrayals ans more stuff to come... I couldn't endure reading anymore. It's too painful to read for me. Honestly the characters are relatable and realistic, which is a good point. It's just that it annoys me to death how almost all of the characters love to lie. It's like they are living in the world full of lies, then suffer the consequences of it afterwards. And they never f*cking learn. A lot of major charactera feel totally s*upid and blind, like the MC father who seemed rushing to die all the time while making hypocritical reasons like wtf, her friends who think that a villain can easily turnover into a white lotus, her mom who foolishly hid her meetups with MC and MC father which led to her own husband's suspicion of possible derailment, that couple not telling mother-in-law which caused mother-in-law's suspicion and unhappiness with MC mother skyrocket....

Just all things can be avoided if you try to talk things out clearly and try to be honest. But no, the author seems to want to protray the hypocrisy, dishonesty, and gullibility of human nature in this novel.

Disclosure- I MTL the entire novel

This for me was an interesting take on a reincarnation genre that’s been done to death. Our main character Meng Qing Qing is reborn back to twelve years old before father passes and her greedy relatives take her inheritance then kill her once she finds out about it. This novel takes part in 4 phases.

Phase 1 - being reborn in her village home and going to the city to take care of her father who is in the hospital. Father needs a kidney transplant, which... more>> he can well afford because he is a successful businessman, but her uncle lies to the hospital and tells them her Father is a country bumpkin and can barely afford the dialysis let alone the transplant surgery. This is because her father has disclosed all his business data and will to his older brother and wants him tot take care of MQQ. The older brother got greedy and planned to let his brother die so he could get the money and the house the brother had bought. MQQ is this phase has to fight to convince her father the relatives are evil and greedy and that if her father wants her taken care if he should live and do it himself.

phase -2 MQQ gets into a prestigious middle school in the capital and meets her lifelong enemy and her two best friends.

Phase 3- MQQ goes to college her father’s business partner confesses (don’t panic he’s only about 10 years older than her and stayed well away from any romantic actions when she was underage. We as readers could guess but she had no idea.) she is confused always thought she would marry her bff from school, one of the two guys who protected her from her arch enemy, now she doesn’t know what to think.

phase 4 she is married and it her everyday life with her in laws. Father is cool MIL is typical interfering pest. She’s not evil just a huge pain and has somewhat of a brain hole when it comes to her son. She always wanted him to marry and have children but when he did MIL was jealous of his wife and hated to see her son in any way pamper his wife. This phase is also where we see the reaccurance of her other life nemesis. A girl from her village who was jealous of everything MQQ had so either found a way to steal or break her stuff while all along professing to be her friend. This this jealous b!tch (jb) met MQQ future husband when they all went back to the village. Husband sponsored her schooling out of pity for jb and MQQ warned him not to let jb entangle him for the rest of their life. Future husband being young and naive assures her it will never happen. Cut to future when they are married and jb keeps popping up trying to catch MQQ husband attention saying she only wants to be near him and not want more but keeps trying to find ways to make the husband indebted to her so she can meet him more. Husband never really falls for her tricks but it causes stress in their marriage because MQQ repeatedly warned him what kind of person jb was but he insisted on helping her.

i liked this because it’s almost like what a normal person would experience upon reincarnation. Other than handling her relatives and saving her father she had no business knowledge of the future and she stayed out of their company affairs. She was a wife, a mother, and in the end owned her own small business. Her only golden finger was her maturity and the lessons she learned from the school of hard knocks in her first lifetime. <<less

It was a mature novel... MC was very considerate and mature.... This novel what it showed to its readers were, patience, hope, sacrifice, trust, etc.

But it wasn't too romantic, it was more of a piece of life And in the end it had a happy ending.
