Don't let these tags deceive you. The translator here (and clearly biased towards the novel), but this is honestly an amazing historical novel set in the Sengoku period.

You follow the main character, Tama, who reincarnates/time travels back to the Sengoku period, on top of becoming a female while you're at it. This is NOT a slice-of-life gender-bend novel, but a very in-depth historical novel that shows the author put an insane amount of research into his writing.

What sets this novel apart from the (few) Sengoku period novels that we have... more>> is that the main character is reincarnated into a daughter from the Amago clan, one of the famous clans from the Sengoku period. Of course, they met their demise and the MC's goal is to prevent that. She has to go against famous figures of the time (ex: the Moris, Oda Nobunaga, etc.) to come out on top of the country filled with schemes and wars.

Personally, what makes this novel insanely good for me is the land management (ruling over the lands), but more importantly, how she slowly has to overcome the hurdles of being a female and her age.

Spoiler

Sometimes it may seem like she's being given a lot of power immediately, but that's not true. Although the adults think she's a genius, she is limited by her gender to make certain actions. While she may hold more power than other females, she cannot keep her status without relying on her father and other males.

[collapse]

Overall, the pacing isn't terribly bad, but the chapters keep getting longer and longer, as well as the research I personally have to do to keep you guys informed, so don't expect an insane release rate. Sorry guys : ( <<less
