Pretty fun story. The only thing I dislike about Ryouta is that he has access to all these level-up abilities but doesnt go and immediately level up all the way. In some ways he's a bit s*upid and I'm somewhat frustrated when he doesnt just conquer every dungeon ASAP. Still, it's part of his character that hes taking things at his own pace (he literally died from overwork sooooo...). I really like him and his motivations in general. He consistently stands against black companies and the like.

All the side characters... more>> are cute and fun too with their own motivations that are distinct from Ryouta. Although everyone falls for him (or his carrots), they're not subsumed by him.

One side negative is that the light novel illustrations are surprisingly low-quality. Like, drawn by a middle-schooler level much of the time. Also, with the exception of Eve and Emily, most of the characters don't have much in the way of description so it's really up to you how you imagine them and good pictures would go a long way towards rectifying that. <<less

It is a nice, chill story with random dungeon explorations, with each dungeon having a gimmick. The harem sometimes participates, but for the most part, at least in the later chapters with the OP MC, it is all about his own adventures, with chats at night with the rest of the 'family', which is what they call the extended party.

If you are looking for a harem story in which the harem is part of the limelight, this is not it. Side characters that show up to give the MC a... more>> task move the 'plot' along more than the harem does. They are more there for the comedic effect in some parts or to cheer on the MC. I am not even sure why this has the romance tag, there is no romance.

Spoiler

At least 2 characters are very much into him, but the MC is so dense that he hasn't realize yet. This is including up to chapter 471 of the raws, which is the latest one. A new family members just appeared, and in a single day she had an idea of what was going on, but even then the MC still doesn't realize it, justifying not trying to find out by "I'm not gonna press on this"

although I love isekai novel very much and I won't lie it was a good read.... But seriously man! the author just wrote anything without thinking, I mean I understand the concept of farming in dungeons but to even get animal meat and fish from dungeon, I mean there are millions of species of fish and animals, and we get like 1 lb of meat per every monster, what is the quantity?... moreover even things like beer is obtained from dungeons, now this is just plain idiotic, even I was... more>> fighting the urge to bang my head on the table...i mean how is that even possible, beer is not even something we farm in the first place, and even assuming it to be possible (considering it is an isekai novel) how do you collect it, is it like dropped along with the glass

Spoiler

One of the most idiotic concept is monsters getting spawned back from the goods if left unchecked, How does that even work that means if I left my jwellery in some locker in my house and left for work they would turn back into monsters and what about your so called beer and every other goods there. This kind of thing is impossible you could not just observe everything all the time in close proximity. The author uses this concept just to provide bullets to the MC whenever convenient and it's annoying.

but I will still give it 2 stars as it was a good light read given you switch of your brain and a good timepass <<less

I really tried to continue reading this because I liked the characters, but this author is not making any sense.

The only amusing thing are the characters, but if the situations they are in make no sense at all then it stops being enjoyable to read.

I get it that it's supposed to be lighthearted and funny, but when you have to stop yourself thinking "why?!" at almost every chapter it makes a pain to read.

It was actually really fun at the start, for this I give it 2/5

A light, enjoyable read.

It's an interesting world with infinite possibilities though so expect to yell at your screen when the MC doesn't do the experiments you would probably do in his situation.

MC is very dense when it comes to romantic situations so that may put some people off.

Another thing that may put people off is that this novel is BFF's with the Chekov's Gun Principle. Anytime the MC gains a new item or skill, expect a need for it to appear shortly after.

The story is a very cliche type story without any main motive. The world building is pretty much nonexistent. If you actually dig into the inner workings of the world it would fall apart completely. However, the story is just interesting enough for me to read it if I'm bored. I recommend this if you are just looking for cliche another world harem story with an OP protagonist.

This webnovel created a unique world with interesting developments. The leveling system was developed and how the main character grew was interesting. However, if you expect any romantic development then that's too bad.

Spoiler

The author was incapable of creating a man with any normal s*xuality. The main character is at least 25 years old, but he completely ignores any romantic development. For example in the first 100 chapters there are three instances of the main character being confessed to and kissed and he is like OMG, but the following chapter they return to a crush level interest in the MC that blush and run away whenever something happens. They MC just completely disregards all of their feelings and they never make any progress even up to the last chapter.

One of the worst things is the author's removal of some characters. For example in around 150 chapters he saves a humonculous girl who can turn into guantlets that help him reload and kill things faster, basically trippling his combat power. That was gone over for around 20 chapters and then the girl just disappears. She is mentioned by some other character in one line at around 600 chapters and nothing else. The girl didn't die or anything she just never interacted with them again.

[collapse]

Honestly, if you want to waste your time on some moderate world building and a romanceless harem then this is for you. Otherwise don't waste your time. <<less

One of the worst novels I have ever read, The author change the power of the characters every time, theres no consistence, the protag is one of the dumbest character I have seen in my whole Life, sometimes you will feel like screaming at how dumb he is só as the author, for example at some point of the story the protag gets a magic that if he uses anyone that kill a monster that he used that magic will have the same drop rate of the protag which is... more>> 100% and later he will be having troubles because his friends needs to kill a boss but they dont get a drop só he don't know what to do, but he have that power that would easily solve the problem but don't use, and even worst he have a bullet that basically duplicate drops and also he didn't use, and you as the Reader if you have a brain will feel phisycal pain by how dumb this whole situation is just because the author is s*upid and forgot the powers of the character he create, if you have a brain please avoid this <<less

The best way to describe this novel is... you're reading about someone playing the cheapest Monster Hunter clone you can dream of (yes, clone, as there are no battle tactics or any challenge to the hunt here). You know, grind for the grind sake, no characters, no plot too. It's that level of world-building: "everything comes from dungeons, so you need to constantly farm dungeons. The end." If you think about this world a bit... well, even the author gave up and put "let's just think it is so and... more>> don't think why and how".

The premise of the story about MC being lvl1 works for like 2-3 chapters then his level won't matter anymore. It still had a chance to work if characters acted with some personality or, at least, logically, but no... Even after getting his Strength and HP to the legendary level which this world inhabitants can't dream of MC grinds the very first level to earn money. If the plot throws his way some boss or event it just happens he found out the exact way to deal with it lazing around in the previous chapter. Feels like the event was created by the author just as a way to test/show off this new pony trick. And no logic to events, of course.

Spoiler

For example, some adventurers decided to "rent" the entire dungeon level just for their group and don't let others come on it. Ppl tell MC it's a problem as prices for the drop of that level will rise (and it happens to be rice), so everyone in the city panic and... send the strongest adventurer group to exterminate that party. Our MC waltzes in solving the issue "peacefully" by putting that party to sleep with sleeping bullets. All hail the hero! I just don't know in which hole to poke in this set-up. I mean, why adventurers will be sent to kill adventurers? (police, guards, no? as PVP opens a really big can of worms...) If MC has sleeping bullets why local mages don't have that spell? Why is someone claiming a floor will be a reason for panic? It shouldn't be something new for this world and if they have any kind of rulers they should have a way to deal with it set up long ago. Why is this way killing? Taking it from MMOs, it's actually hard to monopolize something for a long time. And merchants can simply refuse to buy and increase price forcing that party into losses. How putting everyone to sleep and removing them from the dungeon solved any problems? They can wake up and return later. And, of course, why MC even bothered to get into this mess? No one asked him for help, it wasn't even "by the way" for him. He has no relation to rice or any of the involved adventurers. Even being kind and wanting to help have their own limit. Oh, and you need to consider yourself some cheat-level character, not a level 1 weakling, to even think to go alone against an unknown adventurer party and you need to be that cheat guy to actually win - which party will attack you one-on-one without spells and arrows?..

[collapse]

This novel is the one where it's hard to stop asking questions if you start. You need to turn your brain off to read it. It's not even the story about enjoying "slow life" as characters are dull and MC gets overpowered really quick, but continue to grind day after day the bean sprouts... and more bean sprouts... and even more bean sprouts... yeah, he found a way to get x10 money for the same time, but even when money is his target he will go for bean sprouts! Bean sprouts for life! <<less

This is a really fun and light hearted story that I fell in love with. There isn't any grand plot or heavy scheming that your typical JP MC shouldn't be capable of surviving in.

Unfortunately, a few years had past, but the new releases has turned horrible. From 100 chapters+ the plot holes and inconsistencies has become so obvious so grand, it makes you wonder how was the book even sold in the first place. It feels like there isn't even an editor for the original story.

There are even annoying characters... more>> that didn't exist previously. Even worse, crucial and significant moments of the story could just be forgotten like it was some sort of April fools joke.

I still love the story for the memories it has given me, but the story itself has become unreadable. <<less

Never explain the difference between levels. All level can boost stat to A and S, then why do you need level? If strength C can use big hammer, why not strength A/S?

MP's math suck and must use a cashier machine to read profit?

Trying to boost efficiency in every chapter by using red ruby bracelet (random +1 increasing the drop rate of rogue monsters), BUT NOT x2 all drop ring.

So MP is trying extreme hard to get random 2 bullets by not wearing both ring and bracelet which can boost drop... more>> rate to 2 to 4 bullets.

I really like this series, it's light and easy to read. I agree that the part of killing the monsters can be a little boring, but since I know that it's a book written for boys I just skip it and enjoy the rest of the plot.

It's decent enough, one thing that gets a little annoying is that a solution to every problem is obtained by the MC almost immediately before he needs it. So virtually every problem is solved with minimal effort in a pattern of chapter x: get new thing that MC thinks is kind of useless but oh well. Chapter x+1: new problem, oh hey that thing I thought was useless totally solves this problem easily. Rinse repeat.

That aside it's a kind of laid back story as MC continues to grow in strength... more>> and harem size, there isn't a lot of character development, mostly just the MC's steady power-ups, the author seems to opt to introduce new characters rather than spend much time fleshing out existing ones. <<less

I have to say in the beginning I found it really interesting. It's kinda different from what I've read so far and while you don't get much back story, you'll find out more and more about it. Of course our MC is exempt from every rule this world ever had. While it is interesting without a big goal in mind you might think that there is something going on behind the scenes. While there are some hints that this could be the case it doesn't show at this point or... more>> "hooks" you. Like in a typical MC-esque setting after aquiring something new he (really always) finds a good use in the same or the next chapter. No buildup no anticipation it is just there.

MC: "Oh I got a new ****."

NPC A "We have an issue, please help!"

MC: "Oh I can use *** here."

End of story. Always. What I also do not like at all is: Incoherent Details. The author often repeats things that already happened. Like the same level up again. He often forgets things and brings them forcibly back up at a later date again. Making it somewhat sound as if it was unexpected. At least it often seems that way.

But at least what made me drop it in the end was the ridiculous side characters popping up and that typical "I go along with that." "Of course I'll do that" and so on and so forth.

The MC was an overworked, black company employee who died because of that. On one hand he hates situations like that and helps other getting out of it and on the other hand the MC goes along with every whim of others and always helps and yeah of course the main goal is finding ways to let thjngs like that solve themselves. That he goes along with this in the first place is the biggest problem considering the circumstances. In the end he is just acting as a rich errand boy,

This is my first review I hope some people find it helpful! <<less

an awesome fairytale with strong game elements, cute characters, and moving plot.

the real prob is how dense the op MC is, and how benevolent, to the point it sickening. Is Jesus lvl 1 had descended upon the mortal realm? This story says yes.

read for the game elements, don't have much expectation from the MC.

Its a fun story but I thinks there is a problem with character and stats, first of all Agi C Str S Dex F yet he is 90% in combining bullets?, and he is s*upid because he have high stat for melee but did not use it and focus Imon guns, btw he is hitting the enemys even in low DEX. Not convice on the character.

I just hope the author made a correction instead of AGI he improve DEX in the mummy area so it might be belivable, still reading... more>> this because very interesting story. This is just my comment <<less

The characters are interesting so you'll get a +1 for that
The world building might as well be blank, you cant get a image of the world except the loading screen of assassins creed. 'Empty' especially with how every location is just mismashed
The Principle of 'Get everything from dungeons' is bogers, I mean, the production would definitely not catch up to demand
People would need to be ret*rded not to figure out how to mix things found in nature, I mean even if ore isnt found, you dont get... more>> dirt from the dungeon do you? Especially with how overpriced simple beans are, such a world. Its a wonder why they can even survive let alone be picky about "carrots"
so
+1 characters
-1 world building
-1 principle
+1 characters system which actually has a real "game" like feel instead of those "level system" isekai novels
+1 for the default 1 star <<less

Ok I the way I see it this isn't a bad series. It starts off a little weird, and definitely has its moments of cliche but as a whole it isn't all that bad. I enjoyed all of the slice of life feelings and the s*upid cliches for the girls, and the hunting was kind of interesting. But what got to me is how the general idea of this is very half hearted. All of this world's resources are claimed to be from dungeons, and if they're left out too... more>> long alone they turn back into monsters. But then you have to question how the houses, that are built from dungeon drops stay intact. It just became too much for me to suspend my disbelief anymore.

1/5 for plot

4/5 for the writing

5/5 for the TL and ED <<less
