If you have read the author's other works, Transmigrated Cannon Fodder: Please Calm Down, and The Female Supporting Role Shows Out, then you are familiar with how they write their female MCs.

Regarding personality, I'd say Qian Yan is a combination of the two, Tang Guo and Lin Dan. She has Tang Guo's cunning and ruthlessness, and the physical strength of Lin Dan. (The author seems to enjoy female generals, since this was also a plot in The Female Supporting Role Shows Out, lol).

Overall, good start to the novel. First arc... more>> is enjoyable to read. (Don't worry about the adultery tag, that is because the Emperor cheated on his wife Qian Yan with another woman. Also, "child abuse" because the MC Qian Yan has a tragic past.) I really want to learn more about the MC's backstory... <<less

The ML is the same person each time even when he doesn't have memory. His identity is not simple but as far as I've read, the author has yet to reveal that. They're very loyal to each other! But there's a reason why the MC has yet to tell the ML that she knew the one who followed her each time is him. The ML is also very understanding person, I like him. This story is not a masterpiece but if you compare to a lot of QT novels, I... more>> think this one is very good! The story in each arc is interesting and the MC's way of solving trouble is satisfying enough without being needlessly cruel. Despite the tittle, I think the MC is rather humane for someone that has gone through a lot. <<less

Another masterpiece was written by the same author of Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down!

5 stars for this novel! I recommend this novel to those interested in reading quick transmigration novels.

Why? Why should I read this novel?

... more>> In my opinion, the world-building and plot are top-tier! Each arc of this novel is not boring!

I love to see the author improve her writing skills. The female protagonist, the male lead, the supporting character, and the villain are well-written. They have their own characters and honestly, you will not feel 2d characters like you mostly see in Chinese novels.

The strength of the MC here is not just inexplicable just appears. She is already strong in the beginning but this strength can't be said to be overpowering and it slowly becomes stronger as she keeps traveling into many worlds.

Just like what @Dianille said, the mc's way of solving trouble is satisfying and the male lead here is a very understanding person. I also want to add that he is not a pushy--a very green-flag male lead!

Also, this novel has a connection with Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down!

The YueHuai (male lead) knows Tang Gou and Yin Yao. Even though he is currently in DaRong world, he still has communication with them whenever he comes back to his world.

Not really my cup of tea, the 1st arc feels unnecessarily long, probably because the story is unnecessarily being dragged and the ambiguous romance between MC and ML. I'm not really a fan of romance, so the moment the ML shows up I got really annoyed. MC really took her time in getting revenge and I lost interest in reading. There isn't much logic in the plot either, so don't expect a well written plot.

ML himself isn't that annoying like most overbearing president type ML, he actually feels human, in... more>> some world I actually enjoy seeing their interactions.

Maybe others may find this novel more enjoyable

Update : I continued until chapter 194 and I have to say it's pretty good, ML's pov was still very annoying but that's just because I dislike romance, especially a forced and illogical one, ML just somehow falls in love with the MC in every world for no good reason. His existence felt unnecessary, he serves no use since the MC could basically do everything herself. I also didn't enjoy the first arc because I dislike ancient china settings. <<less
