On the day she, as the villainous sister-con supporting character, prepared to meet her death, she discovered her darkened brothers suddenly gained the ability to read her mind?!

Qiao Chuchu stood on the high platform, wailing: “You’ll always be my brothers! I’ll die right in front of you, haunting your memories for all eternity!”

But what the seven gorgeous brothers heard was: [Hahaha, goodbye suckers! With my billion-dollar assets, I’m going to be a rich lady! You can all stay in this world and suffer! After all, none of you will meet a good end!]

Before she knew it, someone grabbed her arm. She looked up in confusion to find her brothers gripping her tightly: “Tell us more about how we won’t meet a good end.”

Qiao Chuchu: “?”

Seeing the female lead, Qiao Chuchu thought: [So this is the woman my brothers fell in love with at first sight, the one they’d die for.]

The seven men uniformly looked at the female lead: ? That’s it?

Seeing the villainous second female lead, she felt sympathetic: [Although you and the male lead are in love now, he’ll emotionally cheat with the female lead who’ll become the third wheel, and you’ll end up committing su*cide.]

The elegant young lady second lead: ??

Seeing the powerful bosses, she sighed: [Although the big shots have class, unfortunately, you’ll all soon end up dead in the streets because of the female lead.]

The powerful and wealthy bosses: ???

Soon, Qiao Chuchu noticed her brothers had changed, becoming increasingly doting towards her.

She also found herself surrounded by villain bosses who stuck to her daily, seemingly trying to win her favor.

Not only that, why did the male and female leads end up becoming bankrupt and are now dying miserably on the streets?! What is happening?

Qiao Chuchu turned around in confusion, only to see a group of bosses and her brothers looking at her with adoration: “Because we have you.”

Qiao Chuchu: “Huh?”

There's a short drama about this on YouTube!! LOL 😂

I saved this novel to read later and forgot about it, then I found on YouTube a video called "At death's door her heart's voice was heard by three CEO brothers who scrambled to cherish her".

I felt uncomfortable at the siblings/love interests relationship and stopped watching, then I come back looking for a novel to read and read the synopsis of this one because of the cover, imagine my surprise when everything started sounding way too familiar.

If you want to spend... more>> little time on a no-brainer work, go watch the c-drama of 2 hours. If you have more time, read all 332 chapters here. <<less

The premise of the story was fun enough but the execution is where everything went to hell. The MC by herself is a good character with character depth and intrigue, but her brothers...

I've never liked characters who force others, so this might be my own thing, but at this point in the novel, the MC had been: pushed against a wall, carried off despite struggling, held at knifepoint, shoved onto the bed, and had faced a multitude of screaming and blaming. Like, I get that she has to atone for... more>> what she did under the system's guidance, but it's seriously too much, at some point, it's just become a classic case of ab*se. The worst part is that the brother believe that everything they did was justified, which, no??? You literally know that she was forced by a higher-planed being to do all of this, so at least on some parts, shouldn't you acknowledge that instead of blaming it all on her??? I mean, yes, the MC should still carry some, if not most of the blame, but not like this. WTF.

Overall, the brothers were all icky. It also didn't help that the author kept trying to squeeze romantic tension into the mess.

Final thoughts: I think the MC should run away with the Lin girl <<less

In all honesty?

It's not really that great of a story.

The basic idea is interesting, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

... more>> I don't mean it's badly written, but in a story like this that relies almost exclusively on characters, you have to put in at least one decent character...

and instead, no.

The FL is a terrible Mary Sue, she's beautiful, everyone loves her and she loves everyone, and despite having a brain the size of a walnut she ALWAYS knows what to do better than others.

Hit? She hits like a master Krav Maga instructor.

Drive? She can drive like a Formula 1 driver

Winning a burraco tournament? Coincidentally, the system she was tied to gave her all the documentation of the last 25 years of the world burraco tournaments, and she knows all the moves.

In short... she's boring.

Boring, s*upid and inconsistent, since despite all these infinite qualities of hers, she basically lets herself be dragged and kidnapped by anyone, whether they are enemies or allies, with the self-determination of a leaf in the wind.

Now let's talk about the male characters in the story: too many, all the same (obviously very handsome, very tall, very rich, cynical bastards but tsundere in love with her), all with a pleasant character like a v*ginal infection, everyone unpleasant and forgettable; among other things, the story wants to make them pass for great geniuses, but these idiots manage to listen to Chuchu's thoughts, get angry, and ANSWER HER OUT LOUD.

Yes, they angrily answer what she has only thought.

And okay, she is so s*upid that she cannot put 2 + 2 together and understand that something is wrong, but I, the reader, see this scene and wonder how all these MLs can be successful men, given that in real life they would not even be capable of selling turnips at the street market.

I also want to mention the ridiculous theatrics that technically should be comic sketches, but only make you roll your arms in cringe: FL died - and came back to life - three times, she risked s**ual violence with filming for revenge p*rn, she saved a woman's life from a car accident that would have crushed her skull, she witnessed a kidnapping and a "su*cide" (a su*cide that wasn't entirely voluntary, but okay) all on the same day: well, she should be so traumatized that she would vomit blood... and instead nothing. After three tears she came back calm as a clam, as if she had spent the day tidying up her stamp collection.

And all the others around who argue because everyone wants to take her home like an abandoned kitten, who cares that a few meters away there is the body of a guy squashed on the ground after a 30-meter fall, it's all "come home with us!" "no, she's coming with us!" "no, come visit my son, who is traumatized (because she actually isn't, solid as a rock) " including big laughs because they are all virg*ns, and she who if she were even a little bit smart would think "people, I think I'm going to the hotel tonight, while you all go f*ck yourselves" laughs all happy.

I clearly felt my neurons that were squashing together with the guy on the asphalt.

I won't even talk about the protagonists of the original story, they would only be sent to Siberia to do forced labor (and even there they would be able to cause damage and be annoying).

I read this novel because at the moment there is a bit of a dry spell in the stories I'm reading, many in hiatus and others just abandoned, but chapter after chapter I realized that sometimes rather than reading similar things, it's better to keep your eyes closed. <<less

I MTLed the novel, so there may be some misunderstandings in my interpretation.

General Plot :

The story revolves around the villains and major side characters gaining the ability to hear the inner thoughts of the MC, Qiao Chuchu. Initially, they stick around her to learn more about their fates since they discover their tragic endings through her mind. They also mostly liked the MC from the start because MC is fangirling them in her mind and also actively helping them from the start.

Contrary to description, once the MC realizes she can't... more>> leave the world, she actively tries to help most of the villain characters avoid their doomed fates. She carries much of the plot herself with her future prediction abilities.

I repeat. She did most of the work.

Spoiler

The world is basically trying to kill her. So the system gives her 10 lives. She uses this to save herself and others. Even committing su*cide in one of the later chapters to make sure her brother doesn't die.

The villains can't kills the OgML and ogFL either cause of plot armour and luck.

[collapse]

The brothers have a complicated love-hate dynamic with the MC. She is

adopted btw. In the original plot (where everyone was destined to love the OgFL), the brothers adored the OgFL because she reminded them of the MC, who had died.

Now as MC is alive, brothers can hear her thoughts. So they do not fall for the ogFL. The brothers struggle to forgive the MC, even after learning that her past "evil" actions were forced by the system.

Spoiler

Before awakening her system, the MC had always protected her brothers, earning their love and admiration

Some even started loving her romantically as it's said that when MC tries to seduce them when for the tasks. Although they reject her, they are very physically attracted to her.

Ie. Become hard. But some of her evil deeds although tasks were horrible.

What I Liked and disliked About the Novel

Liked :

    • Capable MC : The MC is exceptionally competent and does most of the heavy lifting in the plot. She has a career and excels at it.
    • Skillful and Strategic Mc: The MC makes the best use of her skills, including super strength, maxed-out driving abilities, stealth, and more. Despite these powers, she is not overpowered; her struggles and eventual triumphs feel earned.
    • The world actively tries to kill her, creating constant tension. She basically dies so many time.
    • Complex Relationships: The Wen family's initial treatment of her kidnapping her to verify her powers. How her brothers don't initially change much after knowing she did evil cause of system.
Disliked:

    • Overcrowded Cast: The story has too many characters from too few families.
      Spoiler

The MC has seven brothers, the Wen family has a five members, and the Lin and Luo families have two each. And there is one solo guy.
Almost all of them are male, except two characters and there is two limited character differentiation.

      [collapse]
    • Romance: Despite the reverse harem setup, the romance falls flat. Most of the male characters harbor one-sided feelings for the MC, who is focused on survival. Even by the end, the romance feels underdeveloped, with no genuine romantic progression. The characters end up living together, but it's more about camaraderie than love.
    • Lack of Variety in Male Leads: The male characters, apart from the deaf Wen family member and the MC's ex-boyfriend, are too similar. Their shared trait is being virg*ns I get whole idea of being virg*n for the ogFL. But still. You can be a virg*n and be a Playboy.
    • Very less female villains. Ie only two.
Overall, the novel stands out for its resourceful MC and high-stakes narrative, though it falters with an overcrowded cast and lackluster romance. <<less

Is it good? No.

But if you're looking for comical situations, nonsensical plots, yandere galore but with some psychological trauma and a bit of a found family, it does its job. It's long but entertaining, very Mary Sue and with an overcrowded cast that cracks me up.

It's definitely darker than you would expect reading it as the trauma is deep rooted and MC dies many times and inflicts more trauma as she does, but hilarious nonetheless. I hope it gets entirely translated.

OK, the plot is considered the developed-enough type, given it is a comedy typa story.

I feel like there were a few too many characters, and all of them aren't too developed, but it's also my first time reading harem in a reallyyyyy long time, so my views are a little butchered.

I loved the Weisheng family, they're so cool ! But, not nearly enough screentime. The girls too.

... more>> This story is interesting, worth reading. It matches up to it's description. Took me half a week to read.

And also, as a reverse harem novel, Chuchu doesn't actually pick someone, so that's a win in my books :) <<less

This is a novel where you need to turn off your brain and it's really, really cringey but it made me laugh with all the nonsense happening so I rated it 5 stars.

Like it's really s*upid and dumb and I totally agree with the other reviews roasting it HAHAHA

It still made my lonely Christmas just a biiiiiit lighter. You can give your brain cells a rest if you read this. It's like a fever dream or something.

5/10 – This book feels more like a troll than anything else. It's super shallow with no real depth, just mainly comedy. At times, it’s just ridiculous. It's a relaxing, chill read, but the reverse harem thing is taken way too far – like 20 MLs, seriously? The names get confusing after a while. There's a lot of plot, but honestly, it's just for the laughs, nothing too serious. Around chapter 200, it starts to feel repetitive, and I didn’t like how the FL has zero romantic chemistry with anyone.

Ohhh, get ready to turn off your brain.

Basically, MC becomes the darling of these major and powerful characters, earning herself a harem of sorts. Although they all want to restrain her to their own family because of the ability to read her *heart* that tells their future.

Each of these characters are possessive or have a screw loose in their head - bunch of actual problematic psychos that makes you wonder, is this legal??

I won't say anything about the romance part - there is basically none but there are scenes in... more>> which makes you 🤨.

There were some parts of the novel which were written well
Spoiler

like her interactions with the Pei brothers individually and trauma build - although it seems that MC is underminding what she did, using the system as an excuse or glossing it over.

[collapse]

Honestly I was fine up to the point I realized, despite MC acknowledging the psycho Pei brothers' problems, it seems that she doesn't empathize with them or any of the characters truly. Her, saving the characters, seems to just be based on how much she liked them - otherwise she definitely wouldn't have done it.

Spoiler

This was apparent to me in ch. 63 - poor little Xie 🥲

I’m gonna refrain from rating this but it’s a good read if you’re bored. It’s more comedic than anything, and something causal. There are definitely pieces that defy my logic and the manic character is definitely a Mary-sue but she’s funny to read about. Surprisingly, it does touch up on some more dark and psychological themes which was a nice touch.

Spoiler

while acknowledging the fact that Qiao Chuchu was forced to do bad things by the system, it also touched upon the trauma she inflicted on her brothers. She’s a victim, but so are her brothers. Their relationship and the very much love-hate themes are intriguing to say the least. I’m glad that the consequences of her actions are spoken about, even if she didn’t want to do them.

[collapse]

If it‘s quality and plot you’re looking for, this one probably isn’t for you. If it’s a good laugh you’re after, than this will please you. <<less
