A bit early for proper review but here we are.

I'm pretty new into the whole beast taming theme, I only read Beast Taming Starting From Zero and Charm of Soul Pets, I don't delve into pokemon that much either so I don't know if these stories inspired or have many similarities with it. After Using Cheats, I Became The Strongest Beast Tamer, what a mouthful and on point title. MC got a vivid dream that he lived in earth back then but its nothing important, his cheat is pretty standard with skill tree system and its busted as hell. I personally don't really like it and it doesn't even makes sense at all, he able to feed beasts with regular ingredients, exploitable mini games, etc honestly it's ridiculous even for a cheat, anyway he lives in a beast tamer world and thrive to be the best.

First of all, translation have several problems, sometimes its hard to read and feels out of context, it might have been writing problem but we dont know about that, as I said before, the most confusing how it calls beast as Beast Tamer/Beast Taming/Beastmaster. It also has standard pronoun problems which isnt really a problem for me since ive long accustomed to MTL. The writing isn't bad for a web novel, but sometimes it feels jumpy, I feel like some things got skipped and makes me confused, the pace is also somewhat messed up, he basically connected to top level figure very very early, also the build up is rather meh making it somewhat less satisfying when it comes to major event. World building for now is not really interesting to be honest, but that's probably because I alread read Beast Taming Starting From Zero, I feel like this series world build isnt as extensive as BTSFZ (probably my bias lol), I mean its still okay, you can feel the world revolves around beasts, but not that deep, at least for now. The characters are pretty shallow, I never expect much from web novel anyway, but the interaction between characters is rather dull for a novel tagged as comedy. The pets interaction is okay I guess, we dont see much of them for now.

Since this is a slice of life comedy novel, there isnt really any plot beside become stronger, but I found it funny how it attempts to be deep by including assassination, secret organization, greedy and bad people in a world full of these transcendence beasts, it does makes the world more realistic though, I really want to know what's author gonna do with them. All in all I find it rather fine read, not amazing, I think 4 star is pretty generous, id rate it 3.5 personally, if you dont have a problem with translation and its writing I guess its good enough to kill time, like me.

Edit: it does get better overtime, world building is getting laid out, more interaction with his pet, however it still not good enough. Pet is still just pet for MC, barely have any interaction with them even when it does get better lol, world building though I think it does get better, not too bad.

Terrible battle since the power scaling is too much, so its basically boiled down to exchanging skill left and right between opponent. It also relies on coincidences to progress which is very annoying. MC cheat is also getting more ridiculous to keep up with the "plot"

The plot itself is still non existent, its just MC getting stronger because why not? Even MC himself doesnt have any his own ambition beside getting stronger, no one threaten him, he doesn't have his own dream and goal or whatever. Lastly, there's nothing about slice of life about this web novel because its progress waaaaay too fast and its just MC getting stronger stumbling upon new skill, monsters etc. School life? Its a damn lie, MC barely learn in school, even his mentor dipped out very early due to "plot"
