After being reborn twice, Jiang Chen discovered that the tragic death of the first life was not an accident, but a meticulous design for the sake of never ending troubles.

The protagonist of “Life of Domination” wears the “best choice system”. In the delivery room, the system gives him two choices: “ordinary biological parents” and “rich non-biological parents”.

The protagonist chooses without hesitation.

So , the system secretly exchanged Jiang Chen and the protagonist, and the life after that was turned upside down.

The protagonist relying on the system in his hand, went all the way from a scholar to a crocodile, inheriting the family business, a complete life winner.

Jiang Chen, on the other hand, had to give up his original dream and graduate early to earn money.

One hundred years after the star calendar, the scientific research boss Jiang Chen woke up and returned to his second year of high school. His father was disabled in a car accident, and his mother carried all the heavy burdens, but did not complain to him at all.

Jiang Chen did not choose to find his biological parents first, but made a breakthrough by himself with the memories of his previous life and the knowledge he had learned in his previous life.

In a word: Professor Jiang, a man who can tear apart the system plug-in with his bare hands.

THIS NOVEL IS PERFECT EXAMPLE OF GOOD PREMISES BUT RUINED EXECUTION.

I am Rating this novel 2 stars just because the translator did SUPERRRRRR job Translating, I dropped the novel at chapter 100 and speed read it to end, the novel had potential but they ruined it please read the 2-3 stared reviews and spoilers to save yourself if you can't handle being disappointed, MC is very passive despite being able to counter attack and you will hate it if you like MCs who counter attack cleverly Or return the... more>> attack tenfold. The real family is bland and very inconsiderate you will grow to hate this family. The romance is just weird from the start and you can't feel it for love of God sometimes you can't keep up what happened or what even is MC and ML are talking about which is irritating and disconnect you from them even more. Everything about this novel gets bland step by step after reaching ch-90 till the ending till it just drops below 0. Also shamelessly adding my own recommendation of a novel where MC know about system present in the villian and ACTUALLY actively oppose it "My Husband is Suffering from a Terminal Illness" <<less

This is the first time I've come across reverse transmigration, and I really liked it. I also really liked that the romance is also VERY low-key and takes an absolute backseat to the plot - it's actually so low-key that this is also the first danmei I've read where I have no idea who the shou and gong are meant to be in this relationship. It's fantastic. There's some great supporting characters, and the maneuvering between the MC and the villain is so much fun.

Enjoyed reading this so I went ahead to mtl.

But MC had a fatal flaw: he is not ruthless enough in dealing with the antagonist. And it has caused him, his family, and his friends harm.

Spoiler

Our MC knew that the antagonist is cruel enough to kill but he still didn't deal with him enough. Mind you, antagonist killed him in his first life and actually attempted to kill him in his current life.

Idk why he was dawdling so much when he has the means and ability to clean him up. But he insisted in the loooong and maybe the honorable path in dealing with him.

Meanwhile, his biological brother hurt his hand, endangered himself while investigating the antagonist and was continuously misunderstood by his family. When MC was almost hit by a car wc was orchestrated by the antagonist, MC's mother who was then pregnant was stimulated that she fainted. His friends also got into a fight with this antagonist and had a head injury. Lyk c'mon!!!! I understand his cautiousness bec of the antagonist's system but with his ability and connections, MC could've ended things earlier and prevented all these hurt. He was also pretty okay with the idea of the antagonist staying with his adoptive family (this is a switch at birth story) when this guy is a literal villain??????

[collapse]

Kind of disappointing. If MC didn't come from an interstellar background and was just an ordinary student who is smarter than average, the antagonist could easily clean him up. You have a golden finger!!! Use it to protect your people, by hook or by crook!

Edit: I just wanted to rant bec I feel lyk some chinese authors can benefit from taking philosophy classes so they can realize how bad is it to turn over to the f*cking military inventions that can do face detection and locating people. There's even a super OP hacking device that can even access nuclear codes. Lyk oh my god!! (Why are writers like this. The only way they can imagine futuristic inventions are those that can intensify surveillance and hurt civilians when brought to the hands of a fascist government or institution. Since this seems to be a common theme in many chinese novels, the military propaganda seems to be working well.

Decided to just drop it bec it's too loooong. <<less

Honestly pretty boring imo.

Spoiler

The He parents and grandparents are annoying for trying to manipulate Jiang Chen (JC) into returning to their He family home, just because he's related by blood. They kept saying they wanted to exchange JC and He Qianjian (HQJ) regardless of JC's or his adoptive parents' thoughts or feelings. They finally agreed to just share the two kids (which obv should have been the first and only choice. you can't just steal someone's kid cuz you found out you're related by blood). The He grandparents tries to force JC to change his name to He QianChen, even when JC rejected it. At least He father didn't force JC to change his name.

All I've seen is the He parents and grandparents brushing off all of HQJ's sus and bad deeds and don't hold him accountable for his own actions. All JC gets is a dumb apology every time. I honestly can't be bothered to keep reading until HQJ ends up in jail cuz the novel really isn't interesting.

I agree with another reviewer where the author is bascially just giving JC a rich and powerful family. Like all of He family is just tr*sh except for the younger siblings. They just want to steal all the hard work of the adoptive parents' raising JC and claim JC's the smartest and best because of their He blood.

Also, ZERO ROMANCE. I barely feel any love between JC and Shi FengYue. All of their interactions were just boring talks and meals. Literally don't know why they fell in love, is it just cuz the other party is interesting 🤷‍♀️

I also dislike how patriotic the story is to China.... like let's be real, if they actually got their hands on JC's AI.....I know it's just a story, but it's a scary thought lol

The writing and story are good. The characters are well rounded and not illogical (well, at least not inconsistent... side eyes HQJ).

The ending gets kinda rushed (in the last two chapters) but it’s understandable, as it fits the progression of the story and there’s not much left to be said. Still, I think the author could have extended a bit on some parts of the aftermath.

The romance feels natural and compatible with both the leads’ personalities and responsibilities, but is not a major focus of the story - which, to... more>> be frank, fits much better in the story than somehow shoehorning fluff everywhere.

Not much angst ensues, except for the obvious confrontations of the past and the turmoil of He Jia (which are also direct consequences of HQJ’s behavior), but the leads are mature and steady which helps keep the tone even, but not flat.

About some dislikes (and content warnings) :

Spoiler

The He family messes up A LOT at the beginning, and it will take time to get used to them. They don’t really seem to treat any of the kids as people rather than props, specially Old He. They’re also especially dismissive of Jiang Jia until quite well into the plot (after the paternity is revealed, of course), and the treatment of their kids is very appealing, especially He Qianmin and Jiang Chen. In fact, had Jiang Chen not been a genius and Qianmin’s friend, I seriously doubt they would welcome him with so little obstacles.

Related to that, He Qianmin is severely outcasted in favor or HQJ. He suffers multiple times through his hands, both physically and mentally, and thus has heavy trauma with regards to HQJ. The trauma isn’t exactly the best dealt with, even after the revelations of HQJ’s nature to He Jia, and isn’t exactly acknowledged outside of Jing Chen and He Qianyu, and I think that wasn’t the best move on the author’s part, as it takes much of He Jia’s responsibility out of their shoulders.

At some point past chapter 170, HQJ will go to prison for his various crimes against Jing Chen. While there, he is r*ped. The story is pretty clear about it, there’s no sugarcoating, and it might be disconcerting for some. Jiang Chen will advocate for his situation to be investigated and if true, corrected, but he’s clinical and detached about it (which, imo, is not something reprehensible, but might leave others uncomfortable.

After leaving prison (and even during, tbh), HQJ is shown to be in a psychotic, manic state time and time again, rapidly alternating with depressive and enraged moods. He goes through quite a lot of mental instability right away.

Lastly, it’s revealed that HQJ basically directly condemned Earth to be massacred by aliens and a bleak future full of pain, s*avery and suffering, which means that to keep the same from happening again, he will be kept alive as a human experiment/host for the system so it can be better studied... Bleak, but not out of grounds considering the circumstances.

I'll edit to rate later but here's an easier to understand summary:

In his second life as an Interstellar researcher, Jiang Chen learns the misfortune and death of his first life was due to a protagonist with a system who stole his place in his biological family. Mysteriously reborn back to his first life, Jiang Chen uses his knowledge of two lifetimes to protect his family, get revenge and reach the summit.

The MC is a supposed genius from an interstellar era in his second life and he didn’t immediately start trying to create interstellar technology to protect himself? He’s made to seem smart and intelligent but he put his family at risk by putting the antagonist at the back of his mind basically ignoring him when he’s literally trying to kill him and anyone he cares about. The MC lacks any sort of urgency and gives his adopted parents so much angst for no reason. He literally could’ve just got everyone... more>> together and explained the whole thing including the system and his second life and they could’ve did a blood test while making sure nothing could be switched instead he goes through so much nonsense to get rid of the antagonist who is not even smart and leaves trails everywhere. Also the forced love intersect between the MC and the ML is just unnecessary. The author keeps trying to make the ML have some new identity every chapter to make him as op as the MC and he keeps appearing everywhere and has high intelligence for basically no reason other than plot. It’s such a lazy writing because the MC could’ve finished everything without his help and the story is just full of unnecessary plot. <<less

Good job on the translators and a hearty thanks, but man the book was rough.

The first 80 or so chapters I felt that I wasn't so much reading as hacking my way through a jungle. So many dull little distractions and boring side issues that I just didn't care about at all. It's a shame as the book does manage to do somethings really right.

No spoilers here this is all stuff you find out immediately I'll give a spoiler for the truly annoying parts later.

1st The fake/switched child is really... more>> a detestable piece of garbage. There was no moral ambiguity with this one you could whole heartedly hate him from when he is first described. No "OH imagine if you are teenager about to lose everything you thought was yours, you might be rotten too. Nope he was he was complete tr*sh"

2nd The Families were pretty likeable if dull as dishwater, come to think of it all the characters even when they were being likeable were dull.

3rd man the plot just dragged and seemed to be almost surreal. I kept wondering how did he/they get here?

Just on the non spolery stuff it was a poor read.

Spoiler

The worst part though was as you went further in it got s*upider. In the opening the antagonist is described as someone who likes to amuse themselves by torturing the MC and his adopted family, The MC is perfectly well aware he I nucking futs but he puts resolving him somewhere on the back burners after buying a vacation home. By the point I dropped it The fake had just hired a hit man to run the MC down and managed to nearly kill both the MC's mothersInstead ending the farce at theis point he decides to postpone everything while his bio family keep the nutcae in their house.

That was about the 5th or f\more time he had done something like that and it was just getting tiring.

There was also too much mana falling from heaven onto the MC.

in the end it was just too much,

Genuinely extremely enjoying this novel so far, which has been a wonderful surprise. I was a little worried while reading through the other reviews which said... a lot of things, but I actually found this novel to be very intriguing. The main character is very rational, very calm, but also very human. I really enjoyed reading his thought processes, his developments, and his actions as the plot unfolded. I think the author did an excellent job with characterization. Basically, every character in this novel has a very well fleshed out... more>> backstory and motive and personality. There was an excellent grasp of logic and timing; the plot was excellently thought out and engaging without glossing over or dwelling too long on anything. The romance is something of a slow burn, but I actually liked the minor focus on that - it made the progression of their relationship from friends to lovers that much more believable. I also really love the calm kindness that definites Jiang Chen's character - he's not some holy mother, but he is undeniably kind and caring even for strangers. At the same time, he's also rational and can be ruthless to people who have wronged him, even if he is never cruel.

Side characters I especially enjoyed:

- his friends: they're like the perfect three, and I love the idea of them stomping together everywhere they go from childhood into adulthood

- his biological siblings: the way MC dotes on them is so sweet, irrespective of their blood relationship

- his parents (non-biological) : they're such wonderful parents and they've raised him so well. I adore the respect and care they have for him and his autonomy, while at the same time offering their utmost to cherish him

Anyways, I can't say there has been a single plot point so far that has fallen short. There was a brief moment I was absolutely blindsided - as mentioned by another reviewer, there appears a discrepancy with money count very early on, but on closer examination of the comments, there's actually no problem

Spoiler

he received a total of 750k, bought a house, a shop, and a computer of valued 500k, 300k, and 20k respectively (or smth along those lines) and still had 200k leftover. in actuality he didn't pay the full for the house/shop; it's mentioned he took out loans and only paid the down payment which makes so much more sense. I unfortunately missed those details and spun in circles a few times trying to figure out the math

[collapse]

but yeah, 10000/10 so far; I'm planning to finish it tonight. I really really like it. This logic and rationality behind everything, the academic focus balanced with emotional plotpoints, the recurring side characters and plots I myself almost forgot about before the author reintroduces them all make me feel so mentally enriched. It's been a while since I encountered such rich plot with so much foreshadowing and depth, yet still restrained enough my head doesn't hurt trying to keep track of it all. Would strongly recommend giving this novel a try ^^ <<less

If there's a novel version for rotten tomatoes, this one would definitely be rated with a splat. The experience I've had reading this book is like watching a bad movie. I don't know how else to describe it?

At first I thought I could stomach it. Maybe some parts are beginning to cringe, but I wasn't that bad. Half way through the novel, the flaws are getting more and more. Not only are the character settings all weird, even inconsistencies in the plot started to happen. I cringed the hardest with... more>> the weirdly cardboard dialogues, it was pretty surreal sometimes. Definitely an experience. (The ideology is also pretty cringeeee) In the end, I had to shut one eye to finish reading. Nearly turned my head away but it's like a trainwreck happening in front of me

I... would recommend this if you're a bad movie enjoyer? I don't know how else to say it.. <<less

The translator was amazing (added 1 star for the translator) my issues with the story are all plot points. Author couldn't make up their mind if they wanted this to be a school life, a slice of life, a face slapping, a cyber punk, or a romance novel and it fails at all of them

I dropped it after several chapters of dry, boring, military and political commentary

There is no romance at this point, and only 40 chapters left. I'm done

It had interesting plot but don't know because author writing style? Or story's too smooth sailing?. It is too monotone and a bit boring.

Mc's very op. He can do thing on his owns and smoothly solved everything.

Kinda like slice of life/daily life novel. (I like this kind of novel but still think this one is a bit too blend /too light?)

I enjoyed highschool ace. (First part of story) it's heart warming about family and friends. Sadly when story continues because I don't like He family. I hardly enjoyed it... more>> later.

Thanks for Hell's review/spoiler, I prepare my heart and know beforehand so I can read this till the end.

Spoiler

I don't like he family. For my opinion they have No redemption. 😫 Selfish and irresponsible. Author try to tell that they are lovely parent, rich, powerful and well educated thier children but if you read what they do you will feel it not like that plus author give them a bad move with wrong time so I cant think they're good.

They bad parenting, (if you understand how to raise kids you will see more faults)

4 reasons I hate them

1. They never take responsibility for their child crimes. They do nothing. No helping, no try to resolve, Never take a blame, they just Wait for kids take care of all problems by themselves.

They always disappointed when know HQJ do bad thing but they never thought who raise him to be like that (we know the true that not thier fault but they don't know, right?😂) Not try to teach kid right or take care what they do. They care only He family. No any real compassionate for victims from them.

2. I hate how they raise the child. They care only results. Ask for best from provide resources but the fact they never educated them by themself. Care only outcome. When you read novel you will see that they don't know any of thier kid well. They care only surface, never care about mental or what their kid feeling or thinking. (They have 3 kid and fail all 3 and the mom blame villain for it something like if I have MC the good seed from start everything will be perfect etc. 🙄 I roll my eyes for that. Nope you the one who fail to protect and take care your kids, woman)

Author give background story about biological mom. The in-low didn't like her so she get pregnant and throw her first kid to in-low house to raise (for pleasing them?I'm very biased about her😂)

3. They disown HQJ too soon. In my point of view, all they reaction and act not reasonable enough. When the child you raise are bad so just cut him out/ neglect him, they're not responsible for it?, Author try too give some reason but You know that not how good parent act. Right? One is fine is the grandma and I think she the one who get real hurt. I can't say she good one but she stay/accompany with the child she raised till the end. (For me this is basic for parent and He parent never do that for any kid lol)

4. They're selfish by steal someone's else child and hard work. Many acts're bad move. He family want MC back by set the party and tell the world about him but MC, HQJ and adopted mother not ready yet. But he parent forceful forward and hurt adopted mother feeling badly and not give her time for heal, author give reason but if you read it carefully you will see they care only thier feeling and their benefits first even they know that will hurt other but they still do it like they want to do. And after s*upid party, no one give sh*t or gains any benefit from it. Only he family happy. I hate it when author let another characters come and prise how great MC is and he family be proud and say this is my family kid etc. When they never raise or educated him but get all credits under their name.

Most of all author think He family's act are good one🙄🙄🙄 so the ignorant and have happy life when never pay any real price what they do.

It's a good novel to read. The romance is very minimal and mostly focusing on the technology aspects and other things. Though the ending felt a bit to rushed but overall it kept me intrigued. There is no serious drama except for the wrong birth and god the villian was one s*upid person... Even the system kept telling him not to target the MC but no he had to do it. He never actually regrets anything and always feels that MC stole everything that belongs to him (even though they... more>> were mc's to begin with).

Anyway as for the ml.... You can actually tell who he is from the start so not gonna spoil it.

The patriotism in this novel is very dominant but if you can ignore this aspect then it's all good. Though you may sometimes feel uncomfortable about it aswell..

So while it's a good novel, not everyone will like it and may even hate it. But give it a try if you are bored... And for those that feels uncomfortable about the patriotic aspect about it, it starts after half of the main text....

Really enjoyed the first 80 or so chapters but started loosing interest when the whole military patriotic bit started to become the focus, so I'm dropping it here.

I usually only like romance as the main focus in my novels and get bored with out it. This novel I didn't even really notice it missing until it the MC and MLs overly robotic interactions.

Also wasn't the biggest fan of him doing so much while in high school. The high school arc should have been more focused on the switched at birth,... more>> family, taking the college exam, with the "tech" stuff there, but more in the background. Then, when the MC is in college and identity is exposed, introduce the A.I. And business. Just felt like the author was trying to pack too much at once.

Though I didn't miss the romance at first I wish there was a little. If the author is going for danmei, I wish there was a little more about ML and some more interactions with MC. ML felt like a minor character

I really couldn't read anymore once the typical "for the country" bit showed up like in most Chinese novels. I know I'm not the target audience, but makes the story boring. Also no country's military in the world should have that kind of technology.

I can see why people enjoy this novel, but it's just not for me. Maybe if everything was wrapped up in 125 chapters and without the military stuff. <<less

This novel was pretty good in the first half and then it just morphs into a completely different genre/plotline and became a drag to finish. At the beginning I was practically glued onto my screen because I was so hooked and around the last half it became a drag, I still forced myself to keep reading because I want to see how the author will wrap things up since the plot has snowballed into an avalanche.

First of all, the romance tag is inaccurate. There's no romance in the novel, I... more>> mean, the MC does find a bf, but there's nothing remotely romantic about it. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good, plot heavy novel where the romance takes a backseat but it's different with this novel because the male lead... is not even a lead character. If I were to divide the amount of screentime the ML has in this novel he wouldn't even be called a secondary or tertiary character, he's really more of a background character and shows up maybe max 8% out of the whole storyline despite being introduced in the early chapters.

Spoiler

The boyfriend is Shi Fengyue, and he's a utter Gary Stu whose sole existence is to support the MC. He's introduced as a genius, neuro, spinal surgeon and he heals MC's adoptive father's legs and prevents the adoptive family from going into depression and su*cide. He's also super rich and comes from the prominent Shi family and this helps MC when he gets introduced to the He family and other rich, prominent families and professors. Also supports MC in coming off more legitimate to other families when it becomes known he's friendly with Shi Fengyue. He's also a genius hacker, programmer, computer science guy with a legacy since he was 15, again, this will support MC later on when MC needs supporters in building his AI to the national scale. Oh, and he's also amazingly handsome, and is for some reason, interested in MC since their first meeting despite being indifferent to everyone else. The way they got together was also very anti-climatic and forgettable.

[collapse]

The true male lead (not in terms of romance but in terms of screen time) in the novel would be He QianJian, the guy with the system who took over his biological identity. Actually, I would dare say he's the second main character with just how much of the story focuses on him, his point of view, his past and present life, etc. The MC finds out about He QianJian, his system and his schemes and ways that he's hurt MC's biological brother many times but he does nothin but focus on programming his AI. I understand that the AI can kind of block He QianJian's system, but not completely and MC spends many, many chapters just waiting for He QianJian to essentially self destruct. But, he, doesn't! Literally into the last couple chapters of the novel, He QianJian is still there, still playing a vital role, etc. And this wouldn't be a problem but He QianJian's character is very uninteresting to read! The guy was a normal, not smart, average, poor Joe in his last life before the system found him. Even in this lifetime, he has not changed. The other characters talk about charming he is, how kind and how well spoken he is but we never get to see that in the novel. Every time he talks he stumbles into verbal traps and comes off as an idiot and literally no other character finds him charming. Even the adoptive mom who is supposed to love him since they raised him for 18 years has no interest in him once she finds out he's not her biological son.

The parents, both parents, in the novel are actually lovely people. Usually in these switched at birth stories, either the biological or adoptive parents end up being evil or greedy but that is not the case here. Even his biological siblings and cousins and aunt and uncle are lovely people. Definitely one refreshing point here.

And then the main reason why this novel became such a drag: the AI and programming/research.
Spoiler

It's very clear that the author knows very little on this topic, but it is still amazing that she can write almost 200 chapters about it. I remember a part where she wrong that because MC was in the interstellar era, they lost old Earth programming abilities and now that MC is reborn to early 2000s he can fill in the blanks and become more knowledgeable... like no, programming doesn't work like that. Maybe biology related research if you don't have certain specimens in the interstellar era this would apply but not for coding. Whenever she goes into detail about what MC or the other "researchers" are doing it becomes painfully obvious the author has no idea about what she's writing about.

The thing that killed the story for me was because it went from a revenge, switched at birth plot, to programming, to being involved in national research academy to international computer diplomacy to possible interstellar warfare and somehow MC, being just a teenaged programmer is are the forefront leading!? It just snowballed way too much.

I dont get why this has low reviews? Hoping the translator is not discouraged. I absolutely love the story and Im living for the revelation part.

I just want to point out that even though Jiang Chen is a genius researcher, he cannot immediately build interstellar things. One, it will arouse the system and alert HQJ about the sudden changes of JS which JS is trying to avoid while he was in the midst of creating a counterattack system for that option choice system of HQJ. Second, he doesnt have enough... more>> funds in the early stage. He is still building a foundation.

Please, are we reading the same book or not? In fact, I super love that no matter how omnipotent the system thinks it is, it cannot predict how human hearts move thus it overlooks the doubts and suspicious activities it does to the people and how people especially HQM notices bizarre events such as that accident.

Please, before reviewing, read the book itself. Do not stop. MC, despite being dubbed as genius, still needs to be cautious because of the system's existence and its manipulation to the humans. He clearly shows his brilliance and it sure is satisfying to read. In a book world where technology is yet advanced, the system is like a god in that world so MC is perfectly justified take things slow. It may cause harm to his closed ones but he is recording everything whats happening and will counterattack. <<less

I drop this novel. Seriously. This is the first time that I feel hate toward a novel, and this is very regrettable as the story is quite interesting. But, I couldn't read it anymore. The part about MC decided to come back and change his surname to his blood family made me sick. If it's not because the story is interesting enough, I've already long abandoned this novel, and I tried to persist in reading it to the end, but unfortunately I couldn't.

I was bored, so I tried it.

Interesting premise....

But the author should avoid writing about computer programming and/or hacking. Their knowledge about it seems to come from movies and TV shows. This made it a bit cringe when reading it, so I eventually had to try to skim over it.

And he starts getting involved with the government..... as off where I read it had not gone completely nationalistic... but always gotta worry when they start getting involved with China's government.

I liked the general plot. It wasn't completely new nor was it overly generic. The story focused more on the plot rather than romance to the point that I would almost say that the romance was more of a romantic subplot. I sometimes forgot that I was reading a BL novel to be honest. That, however, is not a disadvantage in my books. It felt refreshing actually.

What was also refreshing was how mature and level-headed most of the characters were. Aside from the antagonists everyone was likeable and believable... more>> in their characterisation/behavior. The children also acted like children which is a huge plus as genius-acting children in Chinese webnovels are a pet peeve of mine.

There were, however, some things that did bother me. For one, there were a few plot holes. Currently, I only remember one as it was the first that jumped out at me and left a lasting impression.
Spoiler

Jiang Chen (MC) got 740, 000 yuan out of the sale of the paper money of which he spent 350, 000 plus commission on the hot spring house. Then he bought a store front for 525, 000 yuan and a computer for 20, 000. And it is written that "the remaining 260, 000 yuan" was left for his adoptive father's surgical treatment". As you can see, the numbers don't add up.

[collapse]

Then there were the open chapter endings which only sometimes became less open due to recaps in the following chapter. Oftentimes, those open chapter endings were used for sudden time skips or cut scenes which can be confusing as you only realize how much time has actually passed when someone mentioned that it's been half a year already since X and Y met. It's not ideal and makes the story pacing a bit weird.

But overall, the story was entertaining. Not very realistic as it contained supernatural and sci-fi elements, so the lack of realism can be excused. <<less

Actually, I really enjoyed reading this and had a great time with this new perspective on systems in novels like these.

It's important to note that in this novel, MC is the sole protagonist, something I discovered when reading the official page where the author emphasizes this. I started reading with full knowledge of this particularity. Additionally, the plot involves a lot of politics and business management, which may be challenging for some people, like myself, but this is specified in the tags.

The romance develops slowly but is exciting to read.... more>> It's essential to understand that mentally they are no longer young adults and have been through a lot, making their relationship mature and easy to navigate. Although, due to their jobs, they clearly didn't have time to carefully reflect on it when they realized.

Every time a scene with them appeared, it always excited me. Although the wait was thrilling, I never got bored because the plot and story captivated me in an impressive way. Negative reviews almost made me avoid this novel, but I'm glad I didn't.

The characters are complete and interesting to understand and read. Each one has their own thoughts and perspectives.

Another point I want to emphasize is that yes, MC is very OP, but this is due to their intelligence and the fact that they come from the interstellar era, which is completely understandable.

So, if after reading this you consider giving this novel a chance, why not give it a try? <<less

This was good - the romance takes a backseat to the plot.

I feel like the ML didn’t have a huge role, but if you like novels that have a good plot and a subplot of romance it’s very good.

The only complaint I have is that I think the ending wrapped up really quickly. It almost felt like the last 15 chapters were written based on the authors skeleton plot plan and just wrapped it all up.

I enjoyed it. There was nothing amazing or unique about this story. However, it delivers what was promised. Most of the lose ends were tied up neatly. I hoped the interstellar part in MC's history would play a bigger impact other than just tech knowledge but unfortunately that didn't happen. Also disappointing that we never learn the whys and hows of MC's transmigration. There is a bit of nationalism (we get this when the plot moves to involving other countries towards the end) but nothing blatant or annoying enough to... more>> be relevant to the plot.

If you're into tech battles involving the system and an OP MC with a sprinkle of interstellar thrown in, this fic is great. <<less
