Yet Dao Lord Chu of the Immortal Realm always greeted her with a cold, wooden expression—dull and aloof. During the Great Immortal-Demonic War, he even seized the opportunity while she was gravely wounded to strike her with his sword, nearly piercing her dantian. For reasons unknown, he risked backlash and abruptly halted his strike.
Yin Wanzhou, ever meticulous in settling scores, harbored both astonishment and resentment toward Dao Lord Chu, vowing to repay this sword strike.
However…
One day, Yin Wanzhou failed to break through to the late Transformation God stage and shrank into a tiny, round dumpling. As she gazed up at the woman before her—her eyes gentle, her intentions clear: to coax her into becoming her junior disciple—Yin Wanzhou fell into stunned silence.
So the renowned Dao Lord Chu has a penchant for child abduction?
How am I supposed to exact my revenge now?
Yin Wanzhou: Let this radiant, moonlit figure be tainted by the stain of forbidden love between master and disciple.
She showered the woman with kisses, hugs, and sweet words, lavishing her with affection.
Just as they were about to cross the final threshold, the woman seized Yin Wanzhou’s wrist, her crimson eyes burning as she restrained her. Her expression was a tormented blend of resentment and despair, dark and desolate.
Why must it be this way?
Even if you wanted to carve out my heart, you only needed to ask, and I would offer it to you myself.
It was only much later that Yin Wanzhou remembered.
She had once had a gentle, smiling, shy, and easily embarrassed little wife—the wife to whom she had sworn an oath, vowing never to abandon her.
That adorable girl had once threatened her, her cheeks flushed pink and her voice soft and sweet:
If you ever betray me, I’ll… I’ll kill you!
At the time, Yin Wanzhou had felt her heart soften with tenderness and amusement, and she had quickly coaxed her into smiling again.
But after returning from her tribulation, all memories of the past had faded, and she had ultimately betrayed her little girl.
And Dao Lord Chu, sword in hand and his expression icy, descended through the air, yet in the end, he couldn’t bring himself to strike down that arrogant demoness with his blade.
