- Xiao Zhi! Cutest son in the world! The overall story might be a 4/5 but Xiao Zhi himself definitely deserves a 100000/5 with his lovable ways.
- The leads are pretty cute together. They’re kind of awkward at first because they only got married when the MC accidentally became pregnant (or so the MC thinks). However, once their relationship finally warms up they’re very sweet together. Watching them figure out how to raise a 4 year old after years of being absent in his life because of their workaholic ways was nice because it felt realistic. Both the MC and the ML clearly loved their son a lot but they really didn’t know how to be good parents to him which led them to making some pretty horrible mistakes. I thought it was good that the author emphasizes that it’s not enough to just provide for a child. Children need their parents’ love and attention too.
- Jiang Yao was adorable and his relationship with Xiao Zhi was so wholesome.
The bad:The whole kidnapping plot was so illogical. Wtf was Fu Zhou trying to do by bringing the Jiang family to the MC? Like what did he think that would lead to? How does he get his revenge by putting them together? I thought he’d torture the MC or take Xiao Zhi away to threaten her but nope he just wanted her parents to harass her privately? Obviously, I didn’t want this guy to be a monster but honestly he was such a lame villain that I didn’t know how to feel. The way the situation was resolved was weird too like wtf was on Jiang Zong’s mind when he took up the knife? Why was he suddenly so triggered? We knew he was dumb but should he really have been that dumb?
