I've just finished MTLing this one (apart from the Extras that the author is still writing on jjwxc) when I saw it's been also picked up for translation. It's a fun story (easy to MTL), and the Comedy genre tag is real. I haven't laughed so hard (especially in the first half) while reading a book for a long time.

The MC is reborn, and he also realizes that he's living in a book where he is a mere cannon fodder, and the protagonist is another actor, his arch-nemesis. And as... more>> we all know about cannon fodders, they usually get obliterated by the protagonists. So with a great fear in his heart, the MC decides to change his fate. He no longer becomes an actor but becomes an overbearing president who starts taking care of the protagonist (the ML) to avoid his own horrible ending, hoping that by being kind to the protagonist and giving him all the resources in the showbiz, the protag. Will no longer destroy the MC in the future. And this situation makes for the many funny misunderstandings that made me LOL so bad.

Eventually, it gets revealed that the ML is also reborn, and the MC constantly believes the wrong things about the ML and talks and behaves accordingly to his crooked beliefs, until they both learn about each other's rebirth. The MC's inner monologues related to the ML are often hilarious.

The MC has a good business brain and he definitely turns a failing business around, but he's also such a darling idiot when it comes to love matters.

The whole story is sweet candy and dog food, and there is no major angst. All the past-life villains get taken care of (but not in the way we expect it). <<less

It's very heavy on comedy, most of the story revolves around MC and ML's relationship and MC trying to get ML to call him dad. The plot is mostly just there for background, but it's kinda nice that they don't have some grandiose revenge to achieve. MC's a very cute but airheaded (?) puppy-type but luckily for him ML is moros*xual (attracted to idiots). He's not really an idiot, but more like the longer the story goes, the more he jumps to wild and extreme conclusions (his dad is the... more>> same way, his mother is also moros*xual lol). ML's honestly nothing that special (typical "a bit cold to others but indulgent to MC"), but he and MC are very cute together.

The story is a bit shallow, focusing mostly on the lighthearted parts and ignores anything that could bring it down (like how MC's parents are honestly quite neglectful due to work, but love him a lot.) but it was still a nice read. I will warn though, the MC can give you some extreme secondhand embarrassment so if you're bad with that you might want to turn away. <<less

There was a scene where MC was drunk and kept saying that when he sleeps, he'll be reborn again, saying that ML will not like him in the next life because he is just a cannon fodder. But ML reassured him that he'll always like him. After waking up, ML lied that MC's family company is bankrupt and that MC's parents sold him to ML, making MC think he was reborn again. 😂

MC is not actually s*upid, but he really just has short brain circuit. He comes up with most unexpected conclusions LMAO, turns out that personality of his came from his father. ML is so doting to MC, making everyone around them vomit from all the dog food scattered.

Overall, I really like this novel!!

Honestly, I really wanted to enjoy this novel. I'm not particularly picky when it comes to novels, I don't even generally care if it's exciting, I like slice of life stories and stories where it's all just feel good candy and nothing dramatic really happens. The problem with this particular novel is that the MC is just so s*upid that I can't respect him as a person or take him seriously at all. Other comedic BL novels with this type of carefree MC have the comedy be due to misunderstandings,... more>> or just weird timing, while the MC is actually an average or above average intelligent person with basic IQ and EQ. This MC is just s*upid and makes wild leaps to wrong conclusions all the time. It would be kind of endearing if he was a side character and not part of the main romantic relationship, but because he's the main guy, his s*upidity and his irrational thought processes are just in your face 100% of the time and it quickly becomes annoying. I MTL'd it to chapter 88 to see if he would improve or mature at all, and so far the answer is no. I can't read anymore.

I still give it 3 stars because the personality of the MC getting on my nerves is a me issue, really, and the novel itself seems okay. Other people might enjoy it, just not me. <<less

I expected from the title that after rebirth MC would properly learn and handle business seriously. But to my disappointment this is yet another s*upid, childish (who hasn't grown even a bit after rebirth), easily flustered, what to say, he hasn't grown up mentally at all, a teenage boy in mood swings would be more mature than him. I am sick of such kid like immature Mcs. I will lose brain cells if I read any more of his antics.

It’s a light and cute read that you’ll manage to get through pretty quickly. The MC and ML work really well together, and the plot is pretty funny while retaining some nice parts (The ML is pretty nice btw). It’s apparently the first time the author has written a danmei or a sand sculpture novel, and it’s not a bad job, I’d say.

I think most complaints are regarding the MC’s personality. Honestly, the MC is pretty Gary Stu, and his thought process jumps all over the place. He’s not an... more>> idiot, but in some ways he might not be appealing to certain readers or might I just say, he has a screw or two loose. I’d say the author smoothed out most parts so the dog food stand out instead of the MC’s (very extreme) thought process, but otherwise you’d just be amazed (or annoyed) at how the hell the MC’s thinking can be so bizarre. Taking in the fact that it’s a sand sculpture novel, I wouldn’t say it’s a bad work, instead it’s pretty particular about its audience. I usually don’t enjoy dense or s*upid protags, but I thought the MC was cute. That’s because I and some other people don’t mind the MC’s jumpy thought process (or maybe my brain is just dull from overworking and it erased my memories of this novel). And I’m pretty there are just as much people who dislike the MC’s thinking process.

Read a few chapters to check if you like the MC, since there are some repetitive, albeit mostly short, scenes of the MC’s extreme thinking in the plot that can be either annoying or enjoyable to some. Overall, it isn’t the best I’ve seen, but it’s fun to read if the MC suits your taste. <<less

but yea there is hardly any character development, but what he does have is sheer dumb luck, that his knuckle head often nullifies because of the s*upid bets he comes up with. Lol

I liked everyone in the story. I like MC too when he doesn't do s*upid sht that makes no sense.

An okay story. Run of the mill rebirth novel, nothing special about it. <<less

Unexpectedly, this was a gem. Since it was quite heavy on comedy, it is quite light to read. The revenge plots were occurring in the background, they don't matter much in the main plot. Their interactions are cute, the MC is adorkable with a strange brain circuit, lol~ and the ML is the usual icy to others but weak to MC. All in all, it was an enjoyable read

This one was tough. Initially, I really liked it. But after the halfway mark, when the MC was still the same, it wore thin. Even the ML understood that the MC was a narcissist. The MC can somewhat be described as an idiot-savant. Extremely talented in business, but an idiot when it comes to relating to people and understanding situations. It wasn't cute, as described. MTL'd which was doable.

Oh man the story is a mess! The MC is a mess! It's a great novel to read if you're into crack. I couldn't take anything seriously. Everything I guess happens due to the butterfly effect and it's quite unique to have both MC and ML transmigrate back to the past. But the flow of the story, the interactions between the MC and ML just make me wanna facepalm. Good for laughs but definitely not great if you wanted a somewhat compelling story.

This is a really cute novel! I really love it a lot! I can’t even count the times this novel made me laugh

The MC is a gem! He isn’t s*upid (like some reviewers say), his mind just works differently and that’s what makes this novel really funny

I understand that this novel is not for everyone (as seen in other reviews) but don’t let those stop you from giving this novel a chance. it's so tiring to keep up with mc's s*upidity. There's no evident character development, I like childish lovable characters but he's just not likable enough, he doesn't work hard– like the episodes of him working are 1-2 paragraphs, then he spends the whole chapter chasing after ML daydreaming.

Im just baffled at how a main character managed to make me drop a book. It's the first time it happened and I've finished books with worst plots.

I won't go so far as to call it a gem. Theres nothing really unique or remarkable about it. The rebirth, smooth af climb after rebirth (very gary stu), the netizens, nothing new about the plot, neither the characters. So I wouldn't go as far as calling it a gem, but it is a funny read. But even the comedy isn't anything new either.

Very fun in the beginning but gets a little too s*upid by the end. The MC is intelligent and can be a little silly however, by the end it feels like his silliness and weird way of thinking was dialled up way too much which turned him into a comedy routine rather then someone who’s lived 2 lifetimes.

The dad joke also overstayed its welcome. The novel is good till about they get together and the last 15 or so chapters are annoying.

Love love this!!

I was bit skeptical at first because I've read another one with same premise but not to my liking. This one, however, is so interesting that I have to finish everything in one go!

Yes maybe to some MC can be too childish, but well it's refreshing in it's own way. Since this time MC is the one with money and he's being funny, I think it's quite a balance. I also like despite his reborn, he doesn't suddenly go all out amazing as a president. There are ups... more>> and downs moment and I enjoy every bit.

ML is your typical cold but nice to MC, and at the same time he's so good at pampering MC too. I just love their interactions and I think it's just right for them to be together!!

This should be renamed the ' The Reborn of Song Jun Ran's with his F****** delusions' hahaha. This one was a real funny ride and I enjoy every moment of it. After the first delusion appear after chapter 14, I was like 3stars if this keeps going and will get annoying real quick. But the more you read the more you understand. That his was MC's character setting. You would usually find this kind foolish thinking really annoying. But for him it becomes really funny and really cute. We are... more>> constantly reminded he's more like a big puppy who is really innocent and doesn't have a bad bone in him. The story is driven by his delusional mind to come up with all these misunderstandings that usually really impossible haha. But these misunderstandings are quickly resolved by himself through another delusional misunderstanding or through communications. So it never really give off any negative long lasting vibes. The MC is not really considered s*upid. He's more like a child when it comes to thinking about emotional side of things but when he gets to business he's really had a strong attitude and steps up when he needs to. The whole goal of his rebirth of for him to become a tyrannical president and have ML call him Daddy, no matter how many face slaps he receives he never gives up. Eventually he won ML over with his puppy behaviour, he can express so many emotions and like a warm sun so energetic. (Welll Daddy is still ML *cough cough* MC finds out in the more *** way ahem) . ML is like mother Teresa in all of these, so calm and so doting towards the MC, he only occasionally gets angry and turn MC over and you know do the **** when spouts some nonsense with his mouth and teach him abit lol. Overall he's very likeable but not have traits that stands out. The calm and collected, serious but loving type.

I love all the side characters, even the villains were really amusing, I like how MC turn them into positive being after guiding them through a different path in their career. Fans are really good in this novel, not the typical ones in novels saying the same things over and over again, they have some personalities to some. They don't really get deep with films, movies, tvs stuff in this novel which is good for me! I don't need these fake details to take chunks off the chapters, I only need to care about the actual plot and characters. The favourite thing for me is when MC spouts out nonsense and The ML is unconditional doting and would also give him advice, and also can diss out punishments in the **** when MC is being annoying haha. Overall it went average to good for me in the end.

I don't get why so many people hated on the MC through reviews, his thinking are what drive the plot in the novel. It's not as annoying of his misunderstandings are solved quickly which usually within one chapters. His misunderstandings also help him move the plot in major points like finding out the ML is also a reborn person.

He's not actually s*upid he's just have a delusion syndrome to come up with some of the things in his mind. You understand that part and think hard, you would enjoy his interactions and when gets faceslapped by the reality is quite hilarious. Overall I enjoy reading this, I would recommend for some people who want to have a good laugh and love this big puppy like I do. <<less

First time I'm leaving a review and not just a rating because this is such a hidden gem, I want to share it to the world.

5/5 recommended for a light hearted read, mtl is very much readable.

I love the MC and ML both together and individually. The side characters are also likeable.

I don't know if it's just me but the plot is fast paced, but it still allows you to breath. The comedy is also just right. Don't expect dog blood, it's just fluff.

So damn cute!!!! The MC is the most hilariously cuteness. His brain works in the most imaginative and unique way. I loved the slow burn of their romance. MC family is cute too. I'm gonna miss MC unique brain circuit and ML's helplessness dealing with him. Though I will come to reread whenever I want to squeal over the cuteness of Xiao Song!!
