This novel is great, love the ML and MC.

To everyone who reads review to decide if they want to read this novel, READ IT!

Just do not read the Extra about the adultery/neglectful couple, I do not care what other's say but both of them are at fault (communication man...).

This novel's main couple is really really cute.

Though I am not a fan of abo setting, I didn't mind it so much here since the author took time to establish the gender disparity and issues of such setting rather than just treat it as a plot device. The protagonist and male lead are both not as clichéd and have their own unique characteristics. I particularly like the stories of both the side couples in the end of the novel, especially of the male lead's subordinate. It added dimension to the... more>> world post happy ending of the main couple.

I only ended up giving it a 3 star because -

(Non explicit spoilers)

Spoiler

1. The story seemed to be dropping characters without much follow up, especially all the reborn character who were potential suitors that were manipulated and taken away by the first villian, the omega step brother. If they didn't have much influence on the story, I don't know why they needed to be reborned. I would have prefered seeing them realise and repent after the system's effect on them dulls and withdraws.

2. The final villian choice was quite abrupt. He came in way later on the novel and honesty had little to no relationship with the first half of the story. So the build up was a little lacking especially when we had the male lead's parents so readily available.

3. What caused all the reborn? Was the system prevalent in the first timeline? Then so, didn't the system already succeed the first time around?

4. How does the luck value effect work? The step brother, the first villian seems to be sustained on goodwill points but the last villian not? Luck and favor doesn't really seem to go hand in hand... How did the last villian accumulate points for exchange with the system since he borrowed much more advanced tools?

This novel is okay. But why, oh why do I have to read the extras.

Ranting ahead! Beware!
Spoiler

In the extra we got a sad love story' of straight male cancer coming back home only to realized he's being cuckolded by his own brother.

I mean sure what he did can be considered abuse and I've read a couple of novels where there is a side pairing with this kind of character but not one of them, not a f*cking one of them cheat. From what I've read this straight male cancer actually has sincere feelings toward his s/o but his s/o instead of seeking help from professional or just slapping the f*ck out of his partner, he just went and get laid to his brother in law which is yuck! I know your life is on the line bec you're an omega, which is understandable to seek outside help just bec your hubby is too busy. But never ever you cheat before you clear any relationship with your current s/o. You are no worst than him, bud! And the way his brother just easily admitted it honestly blew my mind. Is that what you call helping him? None of them are better person honestly. I better read a f*cking dog blood novel with lots of face slapping, or just reading about a helpless depressed MC who is tormented but actually know how to draw a clear line rather than this. I felt bad for straight male cancer even though I know I shouldn't. Maybe I'm being affected by my own experience of being cheated that's why I detest that kind of behavior. And actually after reading that I saw hope in straight male cancer in his redemption. I pray for him to be a better person and find a better partner who actually know how to communicate and slap some sense into him if he strayed into a wrong path.

[collapse]

In short, I detest scum and cheater is another kind of scum. Simply put, both of them is scum, If my hate to all scum is 100% then cheater is on 150%. Never ever cheat. If you want to divorce, do it! Don't drag it till you have another life on you. That's cheating! There is no justifying reason to cheating. Similarly, If you realise your s/o is abusive scum, take that signal and leave it or fight it (beat 'em). Which ever you choose. I hope you get my point why I hate all of them.

To heal your wounded soul after reading the extras, please consider reading Break Up, Next. The MC there has backbone and actually already clear from his ex before considering getting into relationship with the ML. <<less

I love it. I was skeptical at first because this seems like some sort of forgiving trope, but it's totally not!!

Its sweet sweet. Fluffy sweet! Teeth rotting sweet!!

stundere Gong x aggressive shou! Kyaa totally my cup of tea. I couldn't put it down once I started. Had sleepless nights. I really want those extras!!!

So if you're into fluffy and lovely couple, with face-slapping galore, then this is for you.

Happy reading ><

This so far the penultimate novel in the author's ABO interstellar series. I've just finished reading the last one as well (it's not translated), and both are quite good if you like scum gong (failed) crematorium, face slaps, revenge, ABO, interstellar, and a bit of mecha fights and court politics in between.

Oh and if you like the strong, manly MC and cute, shy and girly ML, this book is probably the best one all around. Of course, the ML IS strong (after all he's high ranked in the military) but... more>> when faced with the MC, he's just totally adorable. <<less

For me, definitely 5 stars. I really liked the story, the revenge and MC and ML.

I love how ML pretends to be tough, evil, crazy and heartless, when in fact he is just someone who is afraid to love because of all the betrayal he has already suffered. He has a low self-esteem because of his physical disabilities, scars on the body and mental problems.
ML treats MC like a treasure. He was the only one who reached out to MC and took him out of all the suffering. I... more>> completely understand why the MC fell in love!

Another thing that I loved, is that, sometimes, ML behaves like an omega and the MC like an alpha. Which ends up being funny, since because of all ML's bad reputation we expect him to be dominating. When in fact he is a frightened kitten being chased by the MC.

The extra chapters that talk about the Hubert family (Hubert Garnie, Brian Garnie and Lin Yang) are VERY GOOD. I fell in love with this extra. Ps: I don't know if the names are right, because I mtled the chapters.
Spoiler

Hubert didn't want to be controlled by the pheromones of an omega. Because of it, he ended up injuring his husband countless times. Lin Yang had 5 abortions during the 6 years they were together. All for Hubert's fault.
With no alternative, to stay alive, Lin Yang had to depend on Brian. Hubert regrets all the harm he did to Lin Yang but it is too late. If it depended on Hubert, Lin Yang would have died!!!
I really hate Hubert and his ideas about being a great husband! I was so happy with Brian and Lin Yang being together and happy!

[collapse]

There are some problems with the script, but nothing that makes me give 4 stars or stop liking it:
Spoiler

I missed the development of MC's sister and her son. It only comments once that he went to visit her.
I also missed more participation in the story from Zhou Yao, Shen Mozhi and Wen Run after they were reborn. They were reborn and... ok... made a small participation and is it.

Splendid *flying kiss* One of the best 👌. It's really worth reading and is engaging enough. Character dynamics between the MC and ML is good (absolutely love tsun tsuns <3), the plot is good although instead of hating the villains, I kind of sympathize with them and hate the system more. But oh well, without them the plot won't move forward so.. Anyways, I enjoyed it but I'm kind of disappointed that there were no child-rearing moments *sniffs*.

On a side note tho, the little extra about the alpha (let's nickname... more>> him) G made me so sad : (. Although not the most tragic love story I've ever read but mannn these semes really, you can only blame yourself for not loving and cherishing your ukes while you have the chance. <<less

This was a very fun and satisfactory read!

Full disclosure: I read only the main story, no extras.

The best feature of this story is MCs and MLs characterisation. Once MC sets a goal, he is not afraid to fight with all his strength for is. ML was unexpectedly very cute. It is not his defining characteristic, but it is the most fun one. Some people might describe him as tsundere: he is very shy so while talking to MC he is rude, but he always has MCs back and spoils him... more>> to heaven and back. What I especially liked is that he did it even when they were basically strangers and he didn't have any intention to start relationship with MC.

Another thing that I really, really enjoyed is that there is no "ML is so s*x crazed that he f*cks MC until he is unconscious".

Spoiler

When MC is getting off the bed, ML pitifully looks on him and asks: "Don't you love me? I'm lonely". And MC is like: now I know why ancient rulers stayed in bed with beauties instead of working.

[collapse]

Nice change from the usual.

Another good thins is that I was never bored while reading this novel. There were moments where I thought that the novel will concentrate on some boring stuff, but right after that some new development happens, focus shifts on this new and shiny idea and I am hooked.

The explanation why slags got reborned was unexpected, what's up with that was not an insignificant part of why I kept reading.

Another unexpected thing: theme of "genuine feelings vs pheromone compatibility". It's not often you have this in ABO story.

The weakest part of the novel are the villains.

Spoiler

Villain #1 is MC's younger bro with the intelligence of you standard cannon fodder. We know what he did to MC and he actually had his 20 years of glory before everything fell apart for him, so it was enjoyable to read the face-slapping. Villain #2 is introduced as a smart and cutthroat politician who sacrifices everyone to reach the top.

This is a list of his achievements that we actually witness:

  • Was humiliated by MCs big bro;
  • Unsuccessfully tried to kill ML;
  • Orchestrated a coup d'etat that failed immediately.
[collapse]

That awkward moment when you realize that your final boss is more pathetic than a cannon fodder with tendency to blindly attack MC.

A mild complaint: it is an ABO world, but male O are only characters of some importance (if someone is mentioned to have a lover/wife it is always a "she") ; and there is not a single one female A.
The other not-so-good thing is that the final dialog with the villain is. So. LONG. For some reason it is not enough to win against the bad guy, they felt the need to convince him that he was wrong in the first place. And convince him they did. No joke, that dialog lasts for several chapters, and nothing new is said. It only repeats the information that was already given. (Villain: "You never suffered"; MC: "Everyone in this room had hard life" and he retells life story of everyone percent).

But in my mind pros outweigh the cons. Yes, villains are weak, but I didn't read this novel for political intrigue. It was a nice addition to a solid love story. Yes, final scene is longer then it should be, but it is literally THE finale scene, every other plot thread is finished, it is not like there is other stuff that I'm impatient to read about.

In conclusion: highly recommended to everyone, even if you are not into ABO stories. <<less

A wonderful ABO story. There is no dub-con/ non-con. In fact, the ML has self-esteem issues (due to his scarred face + crippled body) as well as no hope for the future (he is treated as an obstacle by his parents so he may be killed any day by assassins sent by them) so he strenuously rejects MC. However, MC persists and persists and at last they come together. Instead of the classic ML-chasing-wife, this one is wife-chasing-husband. A nice depart from usual trope. There's also an interesting ... more>>

If you're in the mood for a good revenge story featuring multiple rebirths, this is a good one. In this novel, MC has faced a slew of challenges in his life as everyone around him has slowly betrayed him -- and he has no idea why. Well, it's because he's the protagonist of a novel and his brother is a transmigrator with a system who is hell bent on stealing his role.

Spoiler

After he fails, another system comes in to try to clean up but fails as well.

[collapse]

While MC has no knowledge of this, he accepts a marriage with ML in order to escape from his circumstances. The supposedly deranged and blood thirsty ML accepts their sham of a marriage in order to appease his scheming parents.

There is, of course, well deserved retribution for all the betrayers, and most of them rebirth to recognize their mistakes at some point in time. However, what makes this a true gem is the slow romance between MC and ML.

Because MC has lost all those close to him and is widely known as an unscrupulous omega, he has no expectations of romance and only strives to live a peaceful life. ML, on the other hand, is disabled and disfigured, leading to have an inferiority complex when it comes to partners. However, he treats MC well, leading to MC falling for him. Due to ML's inferiority complex, he continuously rejects MC's advances. But never fear, MC is a strong, confident omega who successfully captures his husband's heart after some relentless harassment pursuit.

The ending was a bit rushed and there wasn't much resolution, but still a very satisfying face slapping novel. <<less

It’s been a while since I finished reading this, but here’s my general impressions.

In a nutshell: MC, the original main character of a novel, finds himself getting screwed over by his conniving younger brother, a transmigrator who continuously framed him, stole his friends/love interests, etc. However, this ends up working out when MC meets the “villain” of the novel and the two develop a wholesome relationship.

Pros:

-MC and ML both have interesting personalities, with each hiding their true face from the rest of the world—at least at first. The dynamic between... more>> them is wonderful, and it’s truly satisfying to watch them open up to each other.

-I generally liked the whole “characters who betrayed MC ended up dreaming of what they had lost, and coming to their senses—though not before the damage has already been done.” That plot device made for some touching and sad scenes.

Cons:

-The main villain, the transmigrator younger brother character, is just plain annoying. He’s so shallow, delusional, completely incompetent, and obviously evil that the reader is just left going “alright, we get it, he’s evil yadda yadda, now can he please die already.” Thankfully he doesn’t have too many scenes and is more like an annoying pest that gets continuously swatted, but he was not a deep character at all.

-The whole “characters coming to their senses” plot device was kind of shoehorned in for pure melodrama’s sake, not gonna lie. Again, I liked it, but it got a little repetitive since every single character went through the exact same “omg I made a mistake, why did I have to wake up after I already made the mistake this life”, etc. Etc.

-Some of the plot points are kind of skipped over, mostly around ML’s secret plans, etc. I get that the romance and the face-slapping is the main focus of the novel, but it was just missed potential.

Overall: This is a fun read with a cute main couple and a satisfying gimmick with side characters regretting their past behavior. Nothing too noteworthy but a good novel to pass the time. <<less

4 stars!

I generally shy away from ABO settings (not a big fan of that and mpreg, but to each their own) but I was intrigued by the summary because I love the premise of MC doing the chasing. And it does deliver. Just not really how I wanted yet very realistic because I would say this book is a SLOW BURN. Very well done slow burn and very satisfying. I was disappointed the first 20 chapters, went into it the next 30 chapters and loved the next 30 chapters.

I love... more>> the tsun tsun ML. The best kind that's cute tsun, not irritating tsun. And MC, once he knows what he wants, is very straightforward and refreshing. I agree with the other review about how not much about the book is about the title. But it exists, so it's there. There's satisfying face slapping interspaced with the romance but I'm really just here for the romance.

Minor nitpicking with the writing but
Spoiler

author has the tendency to write scenes where the characters "turned and left" then somehow ended up standing there for another idk how long talking for ages. I just find it funny. Because it's written literally as they turned and left and somehow they still end up talking to the people left at the scene and I got so confused because I thought they had already walked away. Or maybe I misread and they only turned around. Not sure but it happened at least 3 times. Another thing is author LOVE to mention the terms "alpha" and "omega" like nearly every other sentence. It's a recurring thing. I'm minorly annoyed by it because it's pushing their gender in my face, like, I get it.

[collapse]

As much as I like this story, I shall bow out here
Spoiler

I got to the part where they're essentially together. I see the mpreg tag and I know there's still minor political stuff going on after this that I'm not interested in. Was mainly here for romance and how they get together so I'm pretty satisfied already.

[collapse]

But for people who likes this genre, a recommended read! <<less

It's good. Characters have some depth, the face slapping is there, premise is interesting. Gave it 4 stars for that and the role inversal of AO, thank GOD, finally an alpha that is not all hormones and an Omega with brains. Liked the omega, but the Alpha was infuriating at times, though I could understand why and sometimes I even found him cute with how tsundere he could be.

but... the disparity between the Alpha's girlish heart and his life experiences and so called madness was a bit too big to... more>> swallow. Also he really let his omega chase him and had the nerve to lose his memory at the end there lmao. That loss of memory was a bit too much from the author's part. Also for an interstellar novel, it was more medieval court intrigue than sci fi. And the antagonists were just brain dead.
Still an okay read overall.

EDIT: Ay, just reading the extras and our alpha is really pissing me off now. MC is pregnant and he still dares to behave like a jealous maiden when poor MC deserves some spoiling considering all he's been trough. He's behaving like a spoiled brat that has to share his toy and got MC to reassure him that he's still the first for MC Kudos for m's patience, he really loves this immature brat. okay, it gets better but that reaction kinda spoiled it for me, especially when before MC was almost killed by him when trying to save ml. So, okay read overall, , but would have liked a bit more fluff in there somewhere. <<less

I have read this novel a few months ago, and while I liked it I felt that it was unnecessary for the MC to be a male or for this to be under the bl or Abo category (well, I am not that annoyed since I would have never read it if it was not under those categories with such a description). To me, the MC felt very much like a female character and that annoyed me quite a bit since I do not read bl just to find such... more>> a dynamic. The point is, whether the MC was male or female had no effect on the plot, the pheromones had a little effect but that's it. I didn't even get to see their kids (I was dearly hoping to see at least one!) But as I have read the complete novel, that alone proves I am fine with it. I will rate it 4 for simply my reading experience but I know it could have been done in a better way. <<less

A palace drama pretending to be an interstellar romantic comedy.

The drama is dogblood and ridiculous, and the face slapping only really happens in the beginning.

Didn't like, but didn't hate. It made me want to re-read "My Husband is Suffering From a Terminal Illness" - which is much better and funny.

Well personally I like omegaverse and mpreg novels

And this novel is interesting and easy to mtl

Probably this a brain hole

Since the imperial family needs an heir can't they steal some sperms from the Duke and make a baby or tie him up feed him aphrodisiac and get the deed done. Anyway they are in the interstellar era they should have more developed technology and science.

But that will lessen the fun so don't mind me😋😋😋 tee-hee
