Tang Dynasty painter Fu Yi died and found himself reincarnated in the modern world in the body of a young master named Qi Linqing whose economic resources had been cut-off.

In order to make ends meet, he started to diligently paint and write calligraphy.

Everyone was waiting for this young master to make a joke of himself as he tried to fake his painting skills, but what really happened was ——

The director of the costume drama cried bitterly: Come to my play!

People’s Daily: # Qi Linqing, the youngest genius youth in traditional Chinese painting #

Facing the media interview, Qi Linqing said very honestly: “I am actually very average at painting.”

After all, he was poor in his previous life.

The crowd: “?”

Why do you have misconceptions about your own strength?

Later, the well-known master of Chinese painting exclaimed, “Your brushwork looks like the Saint of Painting ……”

Upon hearing the phrase Saint of Painting, Qi Linqing hastened to be modest: “I don’t dare to be.”

Master: “……Saint of Painting Fu Yi.”

As Qi Linqing finally realised this: “?”

Fu Yi, was this not himself??

I don't recommend this. For someone described as op MC, he seems too foolish for my liking, everything is too repetitive, no plot/character development, and every character is annoying. This is supposedly to be light-hearted but every character just makes my blood boils. The only silver lining is the translation quality. Overall, this is not a satisfying read, sorry.

I am speechless at this couple.

Spoiler

Both the MC and ML are supposed to be capable people, but somehow do not possess any logic circuits or basic intelligence when it comes to their love life. Part of this is probably the author dumbing down their intelligence for the sake of stretching the plot with the lazy man's plot device, misunderstandings.

First of all, the ML still cannot confirm or deny that the MC is his master even unto chapter 70 or thereabouts. What exactly did you like about your master when you can't even recognize him sitting next to you???

The author makes this arc super annoying with the ML playing the is-he-isn't-he game with himself in his head. Like, "he's so much like my master, but my master would never do that!" Or "my master eats sweets, why isn't this guy eating sweets? He must not be my master!" Sad face.

While he obsesses over these irrelevant details, he ignores the most damning evidence of the MC knowing all of Fuyi's lost techniques. This idiot claims to love his master but does not even try to understand the most integral part of MC's existence, which is his painting. Even a two minute internet search and he should understand that not just some random person is able to master all these techniques, even if it was another transmigrator from ancient times. Not to mention even the best forger will still have things they do differently from the subject they are imitating, the MC's style should have been something the ML recognized at once if he was really as obsessed with his master as the author has written him. It's like claiming to love Paris but not knowing what the Eiffel Tower is.

Oh but his master doesn't eat coriander. Clearly they are not the same person. 🙄

I really wanted to sit down and lecture the ML at this point. If a person transmigrated into a different body in a different place and time, can they be expected to behave exactly the same as they once did? Even if he was back in ancient times he cannot be expected to remain unchanged for lifetime, okay? And you only knew him for three months in the past life, okay? Sometimes even a whole lifetime isn't enough to completely understand a person. What gives you the confidence to deny this person is your master based on some trivial details? Really dumb.

It's this s*upid sort of writing that makes me want to drop the book. I'm currently at chapter 95 and the ML is convinced the MC won't f*ck him because he has impotence, not because he's a pedantic old fossil that CLEARLY SAID TO HIM he wanted to wait until marriage to do the do.

I haven't even gotten started on the MC's brain holes. I'm going to try and finish the book and finish up this review now. Try. Might not happen.

[collapse]

Edit:

Spoiler

The MC sometimes has these weird blind spots in his logic that I can't understand.

Like when he realizes he needs money because the body he's wearing had his credit cards cut by the parents. First thing he does isn't make an effort to understand the world around him to more efficiently use his time, he straight up runs into a paint shop for painting supplies and realizes he's... poor. Can't afford anything. So of course the author throws him an opportunity to make money right there on the spot. Whatever.
Like, he realizes he has this glaring vulnerability in not knowing anything about the modern society but does nothing about it. He doesn't have a clear understand anything that happened in the thousand years he's been dead. There's this really powerful thing called the internet but he's not at all curious about it. 🙄

He knows that the body he's wearing is an ignorant hick, which means he has license to ask dumb questions without looking weird, but he doesn't take advantage of this to get a better understanding about the modern world.
He has the worst understanding of his own strength as a painter. He died poor and in obscurity so he assumes he's still a third rate artist upon rebirth. But if he'd baidued himself or his disciple, he'd realize right away that he'd become a saint and his extant paintings are worth millions if not billions. Isn't that the first thing he should have done when he found out his old friend had become famous? His skills weren't any worse than that friend so logically he should be equally if not more revered. But no, logic is dead in this fellow. This leads to a rather brain dead and painful to read segments where he goes to a low budget drama to act as a painting double for his white lotus "brother" and then to an internet shop to sell his skills for peanuts. I would have liked for the author to write him having a bad experience due to this idiocy and then have the MC make an effort to improve his knowledge but everything works out fine and he is not cheated in these situations. Missed opportunity for character growth.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Then there's MC's romance with the ML. The MC isn't the most demonstrative of partners so I don't really get a sense that he's in love with the ML until bam! Apparently he is! But why? Because he resembles his cute apprentice?? Herein lies a logic hole I can't understand. The MC, being a pedantic old fossil, doesn't think having a relationship with ones own apprentice is appropriate, which is part of the reason why ML is so wishy-washy instead of straight up confessing that he's his disciple. So if he can't be with his apprentice, it's okay to be with someone who resembles his disciple? How and why is that okay? Doesn't he realize he's projecting? Maybe he was always moved by his disciple but never acted on it in his past life because teacherxstudent = wrong, but now it's okay because it's a substitute. Is this fair to ML? Even if it's the same person, it's not like the dumbass MC realizes this, nor is he very motivated to find out the truth even when faced with evidence that this might be the case.

Then there's this brain fart the MC has after the two leads officially establish their relationship after a long precipitation. The ML says something to the effect of "you are so beautiful, I love your face, " and the MC is #shooketh because he comes to realization that the face he's wearing is borrowed. "Oh no! He loves me for my face and only for my face! He doesn't love me at all!"

Like what the actual f*ck? How did you come to that conclusion based on the few phrases ML said complimenting your beauty? Isn't it very normal for people to compliment the person they're dating? You could argue that the MC is an idiot savant that knows only painting but author says that he's actually a very worldly person who's traveled and seen a lot. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Seriously, the characterizations all over the place.

Dude, please exercise those rarely used logic circuits of yours. If he only liked the face you're wearing, he would have fallen for you at first sight instead of the hot-and-cold attitude he's been showing you.

Not only that, he wouldn't have needed you to show up at all, he would've been hung up on the OG instead of your transmigrating ass.

TBH, several reviews are very misleading in facts. Please keep these things in mind when reading:

1: MC and ML only knew each other for 3 months in their past lives. After that, ML grew up and lived a full life. So he didn't, in fact, know MC that well, and also probably forgot a lot of things.

2: Qi Lele is not a child! He and MC are still in school, but he is a legal adult already (they mention the gifts he got for his 18th birthday, which happened before... more>> he and the original MC met). Yes, he is young, yes, he acts very immaturely, but he is old enough to go to war, drink, smoke, be a parent or sit in jail. Why isn't he old enough to handle the fact that his adoptive parents are disappointed in him? Also, it's shown on several occasions that when he acts petulantly to manipulate those who care about him, it's calculated behaviour, not his actual nature. So he's not a child mentally either. <<less

Mediocre at it's best.

Romance is slow burn, like super slow. Face slapping is very mindless.

Antagonists and even side characters are very 2D.

But it's a relaxing read. You don't have to think or feel much. It's that transition story you read after heavy read.

Quite a fun read~ I liked it ^^ it's definitely recommendable, since it's quite a light hearted read~

tho, I will drop this haha (つД`) ノ

Spoiler

1. I think this is missing some tags, for example "multiple reincarnated characters" (or smth) tho I guess this was never added to not spoil the read?

2. ANYWAY the most important Tag for me would be "Seme Protagonist" if I understood correctly from the raw and the jjwxc website, since this one is tagged "Main Attack". I'm guessing this means the protagonist is the attacker/top/seme. Anyway, if I'm right then I'd need this tag, since there are probs some ppl like me, who don't read seme protagonist stories 囧 (tho maybe I'm wrong? The protagonist just has this shou vibe... and I thought the MLwas a cold outside but actually sweet loving inside kind of Gong... idk anymore (つД`) ノ)

3. Maybe not that important, but MC is a genius (in his time and in modern days) so he's learning everything really reallyyyy fast! And as I understood, he'll combine traditional ink art with western art? Anyways, he's on the road to success, and basically everything is going well for him (tho I guess he does work hard, he just grasps everything in a day and so on)

4. And a comment, I kinda feel a little bad for Qi LeLe, bc I don't think he's really done that much against the MC, except of his green tea act (tho the gambling thing, if he did it deliberately and concealed it, then... idk what to think of him... I feel like he's losing the love of his "brother" (not romantic one, but also the brotherly one??) and the love of his parents? And also his fiancé is slowly distancing himself from him. I guess I understand why he's anxious, and I can also understand when others are annoyed by him, but I still don't think he deserved this much... "hate"? Idk but I feel like he's "just" trying to make others like him (tho I guess this behavior basically drove the original body of the MC to his death?) anyway, idk but I feel like he still deserves the love of his family (especially since they brought him up all these years??). Ok idk what I want to say, but I just kinda feel bad for him... he seems so desperate, but it's just making the situation worse

[collapse]

Well... without the problem with tags, I'd give this a 4-4.5 stars

it really was a good read!

Tho bc I just don't like reading stories with

I'm kinda eh about most of it

  • standard op protag
    Spoiler

(though the art school stuff baffles me? Like how exactly are u able to give some sort of judgement as though all art is comparable in this way. Like the summer school bit was weird cause it seemed like they were just learning technical skills and getting graded based on that when composition and meaning also matter too????? But I digress)

    [collapse]
  • the love interest seems nice.
    Spoiler

kind of a weird dynamic but I guess its believable? They describe it as basically being abstinent for the love of art. Like damn, all his libido went to his art genius ig.

    [collapse]
  • why on god's green earth is everyone dunking on Qi Lele.
    Spoiler

like literally this is a child/young adult. Of course he's anxious and nervous and childish. He's a child. (The MC doesn't count cause he's pretty much an adult, having lived in an era with a younger life expectancy + the amount of time he's lived so far) Qi Lele was raised, pampered, only to discover that he wasn't actually his parent's child. He's probably scared of being disliked and getting kicked out which is what I think is causing him to even confront MC in the first place. Meanwhile it feels like everyone he loves is being taken away from him cause no one is supporting him (even though I would agree that some of his ideas are pretty bad), and he's not getting the mental support he needs to like, actually value himself. I think the worst person is probably the Fu Hanyi dude (or whatever his name is). He dates Qi Lele and then dumps him cause he realizes that he's dating a child and then immediately moves onto his ex's brother because of the marriage contract or whatever

    [collapse]
anyways its all fun and games until u realize a child is being made out to be the villain and no one is counseling him for the sake of his mental health

if u want a basic gary-stu-esque novel to read, though, this is aight

It's good but the story becomes very repetitive after a while. People underestimate Qi Linqing's painting skills because of his young age, beautiful face, or some other reason and get face-slapped when they see Qi Linqing's godly painting skills. Over and over and over again like leveling up: from the lowly high school Chinese painting teacher until the boss ancient Chinese painting sect.

~meh~ Double ancient-to-modern transmigration... ML suspects MC's identity is his master in ancient times, but MC has no clue... ML is already smitten + MC is career-oriented = suuuuuuuuper-slow romance. The story barely moves - almost every MC-related interaction is centered around 'ancient Chinese painting'...

Every family banquet, friend's birthday, any/all internet face slapping - everything has a common theme: people doubt/make fun of MC --> MC flexes his super-painting skills --> some nearby art-master going into raptures --> some people getting face-slapped and MC getting more famous... Of course can't... more>> forget showing up the small country that dared not speak in their presence in ancient times Korea and the sakura island Japan in art competitions etc...

MC's family is negligent, but not malicious in their behavior towards MC... The switched 'book-protagonist' is a petty attention-hog, and any positive attention towards MC makes himself feel lacking. The ori-ML is barely explored - one day he's in love with book-MC, and the next he's falling out of love... These side-characters barely have any influence on the glorification of Chinese art story... <<less

This book is awesome. Loved the ancient to modern double rebirth. Qi linqing is the wooden but passionate attack and the receiver is the first apprentice Zhong Chen who is like a milk dog that is super handsome and super cute President type. He can comprise those characteristics pretty well (when he wants to).

The reading is full of face slaps but sometimes does end up getting repetitive.... more>>

for eg: when Qi linqing joins a competition or does something amazing, everyone always questions him and distrusts his skills because of age.

Ahah... I’m questioning my sanity because of this novel.. okay so I’m not even sure, I think I just randomly thought of it as I read and went along with it. I swear the MC transmits into a novel he read in the year ad or whatever and now he lives in the future??? I’m not understanding how an author in his time could make a book with futuristic concepts. BUT MAYBE THIS WASNT EVER MENTIONED...

I only came up with this because of the apprentice who also got reincarnated was... more>> like ohhh the character in the novel didn’t act like this blah blah. Or so I think... I might be going crazy.

Now for the things that actually happen that I am 100% sure of. Theirs this cycle, I’m not sure how to explain them so I’ll give an example.

Random NPC: Wow isn’t this the infamous tr*sh? Heh, he’ll just make a fool out of himself for claiming he can make art.

Mc:...

Minutes later...

NPC: wow how can someone so young be so talented!? Wasn’t he the infamous good-for-nothing son of the (insert Mc’s family) also talentless?? How could there be such rumors!?

Cliché right? Except this happens almost daily in this novel and the MC just says “oh this isn’t really special..” but literally just painted the freaking Mona Lisa or something.

UPDATE It was actually mentioned in the novel... <<less

Interesting premise

Two ancient people whose fate was intertwined- transmigrated to the modern world with the knowledge that they are in a book. Student and Disciple.

Li Qingqing was slow in integrating himself to the technologies. He was very thrifty in the eyes of others because his parents do not give him money and so he's being resourceful by asking for the extra props (that's only worth like 9 yuan). His interest in calligraphy was much higher than in painting but in his fast life as Fu Yi, it was often told... more>> that his calligraphy is just average and of no special attribute so he turned all his attention on honing his skills on the latter to make a living. As a person, he is quite calm and proper but that is not to say that he's subservient. He practice the Golden Rule, which was shown with his revenge in his brother. His likes for old things did not fade, he now drinks tea and take care of his garden in addition to practicing his skills in the 2/4 arts. He is quite funny as a poor painter- the reason is that his financial budgeting sucks.

Zhong Chen was transmigrated to the main protagonist of the book, due to his knowledge of the events, he showed disdain to Li Qingqing and can be seen to be actively escaping interacting with that person. In his past life, he was a disciple of Fu Yi (inferred from the passages). He was greatly skilled in the arts his master has taught him as well as horseback riding and archery. His character showed arrogance and charm (as said by his master). He also expressed his disappointment in Qi Lele for showing his "great talent" when it's just not special in his eyes. A bit foolish and naive. As Liang Luodan (Emperor, disciple of Fu Yi), he went down as devoted to his master in the baidu).

Qi Lele is the child who was swapped with the OG. He can be seen to be scheming and not really amicable. He pretend to like and be the "better" one compared to the OG by showing benovelence. One example of this is that he asked his mother why she bought many branded gifts to him but only leaving a pair of shoes to his brother. Freaking lotus shared his gifts by gifting the ones he do not want. Not wicked enough since it's an accident but it irritated me: he knocked over a coffee on Qi Lingqing's painting and hid it for days, only admitting his fault when his brother found out about it.

His brother- don't get me started with that jerk. He freaking hit his real brother because what? He's in love with Qi Lele?

Prepare to be so frustrated with all the bias against the real credibility of the protagonist.

I hate this Qi Family right now. I know the OG kind of helped put him in bad light, but yo' I feel pity for this guy because no matter what he do, he will always be an outsider in the eyes of those blood-related people. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT WHEN I READ THEIR PERSPECTIVE. Shame on them. I hope Qi Lingqing right now would get adopted or something. So like- I'm not half-way done but I don't know if I could continue this because my blood's boiling every single chapter. Only coming back and being remembered when winning, huh? What a family.

Spoiler

A funny excerpt from chapter 37

Du Yuanbai: Qi Lele signed up for tea ceremony elective

Qi Lingqing: Oh

Du Yuanbai: Do you not get what that means?

Qi Lingqing: I don't understand, didn't he sign up to learn how to make tea?

Du Yuanbai: (exhales deeply, having the urge to shake Qi Lingqing's collar to wake him up) They don't learn how to make tea! They learn how to be green tea!

Qi Lingqing:...

I mtl this.

Light read, OP MC so facelapping happens but not too serious.

I liked it cuz the emotional approach seems quite realistic in some parts.

The romance was really pushed back, true career oriented MC. Both had flaws while loving, causing misunderstandings but always willing to make it work.

Qi level isn't your average evil protagonists, white lotus. He's just petty attention seeker.

... more>>[I dare say most of the fault lies on how he was spoiled rotten by the Qi family. They also neglected this adopted child and pushed him away due to egoist reasons. He didn't deserved to be ignored by those who promised to love him, but it is also his fault for taking it for granted and... being petty. Not originally evil, but turned resentment and running themselves]

The only thing that dissatisfied me was

[when did they uncover each other identities as transmigrators? Like, just gave the brush and they knew??? Also how fast MC progresses and leaves behind many opportunities to actually use the diverse art techniques. Not to mention, I feel like some crushes on MC were extra. Also, there may be some loose ties somewhere, like the original body's family and friends, and qi lele] <<less

Accidentally cl**ked 2 stars instead of 3 and you know what, kinda agree now.

1- perfunctory romance. Despite the deep love by the ML, they don't get together till almost the end and both the getting together scene and marriage proposal were a let-down. The marriage talk for example went on and on for almost 20 chapters. The result? 2 sentences at the end of a chapter out of nowhere.

2- resolution of their actual identities? Anti-climatic. No conversation, no emotional resolution given to readers. There's drama and drama and drama and... more>> then imagine a foot-note equivalent moment of resolution.

3- repetitive plot. MC is too young and is constantly questioned whenever he produces any art. Problem? The comments of the by-standers are always the same, the issues the same, the criticism the same and the face slapping the same.

4- the tr*sh Qi family. Face no consequences. Continue to be tr*sh and yet benefit because MC never cut off ties so get praised for MC's achievements till the end. Even when the 'villain son' is treated badly by them it doesn't feel good because the family was tr*shy to MC before and are now just as tr*shy to their other son.

5- the fake son who's the villain. Pitifulpathetic. Story unclear what happened to him. He's still a Qi son so he wouldn't have starved. Probably fine.

Honesly the high school arc from the beginning was the best part and why I kept reading. It was funny, lighthearted but had some serious moments that went well together. The story just has serious pacing problems, and makes such a big deal out of issues but falls flat at the critical moments. I'd give the first arc 4/5 but the rating drops with each arc. The characterization and IQ of both MC and ML change according to how much the story wants to drag an issue till the point of nonsense. MC and ML were 23 and 27 when they died. ML even advised the Emporer, and yet both characters act completely OOC levels of brain-dead sometimes to increase word count. <<less

I dont know how I went so long without realising that the protagonist is a seme.

perhaps because the romance doesn't begin till very late in the story.

my only issue is the seme protagonist because I tend to read stories with shou protagonists.

... more>> the protagonist has a lot of golden fingers, and is good at pretty much everything except wealth management because if not he would be 100% Gary Stu

but then, the protagonist is rich to the point that even if he didn't manage his wealth, he's still rolling in cash. So I guess he is, in fact, omnipotent.

side characters are quick to get face slapped and worship the protagonist and there are a lot of descriptions about how MC is a splendid artist, which at some point, I feel like are overused because the same compliments apply for what the protagonist do, be it seal carving, chinese art, modern art etc

also, the side characters are split into 2 types: they use the Internet and they simply don't. When people see MC being hyped, they think its just because he's handsome, and not like because he won multiple art contests that were covered by media. Like, seriously, how difficult is it to search online for MC's art? That would save them the trouble from getting face slapped and make it such that MC doesn't need to prove his skills every 10 chapters.

the story is unique in that protagonist is an artist, but the seme protagonist tag and overhyped protagonist isn't my thing so I will be dropping it.

I wish I checked the tags earlier before mtling <<less

Just a brainless transmigration romance. I was mainly here for the fluff, and was pleasantly surprised by the double transmigration of master and disciple.

I really like the consistently reserved character of MC, and vibrant character of ML. ML is so cute, pink sachets, polka dot socks, really mensao as described, he reminds me of my brother who seems to hate the world but adorable when it comes to the cute things he likes. A really unrealistic relationship given they only knew each other for 3 months, and ML was just... more>> a child previously, but attach such great importance to one another, but it is cute and funny. Also the bit where he is like participating on variety shows randomly is so irrelevant and unrealistic, kind of brings down the quality of plot development by a lot because he is a professional artist that supposedly has no interest of going down the showbiz track.

Don't take this too seriously, would recommend it as a fluffy past time with average to good translation. Giving it a rating of 3 stars because there is nothing exemplary about this writing, but the translation was generally good. Keeping this review short because it is a generic piece of work, and you can find a bunch of similar BL on NU.

For those who cannot find the translation, it is available as locked chapters on Chrysanthemum Garden. <<less

MC is the "gong" and has an insane, almost innate artistic skill. I'm not sure I quite understand the setting. How the heck did the MC/ML know he was in the world of novel if webnovels didn't exist in the ancient times... Not sure if that was ever explained. Anyway, it includes a lot of face slapping... ... more>>
Spoiler

MC was switched at birth, faced tons of mistreatment from relatives... Then, he reveals that he's amazingly good at Chinese painting and every other art form on Earth.

Anyway, really liked how the MC strives for improvement. He doesn't just stick with Chinese painting. He ventures out, constantly seeking something "more." Both he and the ML are overpowered, even having good looks yada yada yada. Funny watching the MC flip the minds of others with his contributions to art.

Update: I finished the novel, and though it was cliché, it was right up my alley. I did end up liking the face slapping, the main couple's dynamic, and even the slow burn. It's good blend of a story blending artistry and the entertainment industry. Both leads had everything, and there was little to no conflict (that may not be for you). The ending wrapped up (almost) all loose ends, and the reoccurring side characters did feel significant in a way. But I do wonder what Qi Lele's fate was. The writing was well done (and props to the translator (s)). It was a pretty enjoyable experience for me. <<less

4.25/5 but I'm gonna rate 5* just to boost the rating because I think it at least deserve 4* as an average.

I reccommend this if you like to turn your brain off for a read and just want some vibes. I don't mean that negatively because this was an enjoyable simple read.

There was almost no conflict due to the MC being so op hence the mindless reading. There were some face slapping yeah but its kinda repetitive and doesn't really contribute to the mc's development imo. The MC was already... more>> so great at the beginning and it stayed like that until the end. The antagonist didn't really played any crucial role for mc's development. Qi lele was being angry by himself while MC was busy painting. I think the main conflict in this story was the MC adapting to the technologies and the modern world jk.

This is a slow burn which I really like and probably which made me stay hooked regardless of the repetitive plot lol. Like the romance is clearly there but it's just simmering in the background for the first half until they actually become a pair. Actually even when they became a pair, I think it still balanced with the plot and did not became the focus as much which I liked. I really hate it when the MC and ML becomes together and the plot just disappear and be replaced with lovey dovey stuffs which thankfully did not happen in here.

The dynamics between the ML and MC was kinda cute. I think this is my first read where the master who reincarnated is not the bottom lmao. I personally think that the ML carried this story and might be the only one closest to being a 3d character.

Spoiler

I just wonder why ML fell in love with the MC in their past life considering they were only together for like 2 months? It was only said that he started smiling more when Fu Yi was teaching him and the likes but no more on why. Even MC doesn't consider their time together as that significant like he fell in love with Zhong Chen because he's ZC and not because he thought of his past apprentice. I mean they overlaps sometimes in his mind but not really with any romantic context, just cute shenanigans. You would think he'll remember his apprentice very fondly because he literally dedicated a masterpiece to him but nah

I think he did recognize that maybe he liked his apprentice after he discovered the truth but ehhhh I'm not buying it

[collapse]

I feel like I'm only complaining despite giving a high score but the story is honestly just pretty straightforward. It made me stay until the end which is honestly the reason for the score lol although the ending was kinda underwhelming

Spoiler

Like I was hyped for them to reveal it to each other only for it to be only said with fourish line at the end. ZC was so worried about being exposed in the chapters before the reveal only for him to have such lukewarm reaction from his master finally recognizing him. I felt like it would have been better if that was the reward for the basketball win so that we could have some tidbits of their relationship with them knowing each other. Like the last competition was more engaging even though it's such a repeat

I admit, this novel made me frustrated I really want to flip a table or shake the MC and ML so badly few times. Probably just me. But the Slow Revelation or Realization was Realistic in the way that WHY JUST WHY?!! I don't have problem with Slow Romance, but definitely upset with Slow Revelation or Realization.

Anyway... That's it. That's probably the only 'Flaw' I can think of.

The rest of the Story are Pretty Great!

Our MC is Calm. Eldery, Mature, Have his own priority, Don't care about people's Opinion, Zen-like... more>> kind of Calm.

The Faceslapping happen because MC's Previous Life Talent that he shown to people. MC didn't intend to face slap or defeat anyone. At first because he need money, the rest because he just has to.

MC's life was Pretty Smooth so far. He has friend and people who adore him or become his fan.

Anyway it's really good novel. I hope it give us Satisfactory in the end. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Still waiting for the Revelation....

Finished at 27 May 2023:

Pretty good till the end. It has Pleasing Ending that made me content. Sure it's not a Perfect nor Spectacular Novel, but it's still pretty good.

Our Gong MC is a likable as Character and Protagonist. But I admit he can be frustrating at times when he hide his thought. He's good MC but he can improve more as a Lover...

Our ML Shou when he's finally together with MC, bold but totally doting. He will seems to upset when our MC doesn't want to take next level or stay long enough with him, but he will always the one who won't let his anger stay. I admit, he gives and gives, but good thing MC doesn't just take take character, he's still Sweet in his own way. If not, the novel won't just be Frustrating as small flaws, but would be Major flaws!

Anyway, ML Shou really do has characteristic of ML Gong. 😆 The doting, bold, henpecked husband-like. I adore his Devotion and Patience!

The reveal... Anti climax... Goes with flows... But it's works for them.... Especially with MC's personalities.

Anyway again, it's still a Very Good novel! And I Love it! <<less
