“I know that this is a bad thing. Despite knowing there’s a possibility of conception, I’m doing things like consenting to being embraced…”

Takahito was held down with overwhelming power, confined and assaulted by the Head of the Gosford werewolf family – Arthur.

If things go on like this he will probably become pregnant…

Tormented by such anxieties on one hand, on the other hand although the man was his enemy of the same gender, Takahito was drawn to the strong, masculine, and filled with a leader’s charm Arthur and who seemed to feel the same attraction.

However, the other werewolves of the Gosford Family are ferociously standing in the way in front of these two people…!?

(This book is a continuation of the story told in Affection: Call of the King. It is necessary to first read that book for the story to make sense.)

Excellent translation but unfortunately the story disappoints. Taka is such a brat. Yes he’s only 16 but running away from his family for someone he has known for 15 days is just ridiculous. Taka knows that his family must have been looking desperately for him but still plans to run away.

This sequel was a let down.

This is actually the first novel being translated here in novel updates that I keep my tab on. I just like the story so much that made want to check every single moment to check if it is already updated. I thankful for the translator who made a serious effort on translating this. I love everything about this novel. Looking forward to every update.

Well, I did enjoy this one better than the prequel. I had doubts at the end of book1 about their romance being convincing especially with Taka clearly in mental distress. Since this is a werewolf fantasy and considering the nature and personality of the protagonists, I think their thoughts and behaviours were mostly coherent and I am satisfied with how the story turned out. I liked how Arthur and Taka were decisive and did not dawdle when it comes to taking swift actions and decisions. I am also glad Taka's... more>> family drama did not drag on endlessly and they settled things rationally without melodrama... I have zero tolerance for soap opera drama.

Some will complain about yaoi clichés but I don't mind clichés... if I minded, then I should urgently switch to another literary genre! There are clichés everywhere. My mom is a walking cliché, it's terrifying! Common themes in BL are normal and expected. As a reader, I am more concerned about plot coherence and characterisation.

It was an enjoyable read with great smut and well translated but translator still has the annoying habit of commenting in between paragraphs. <<less

this novel is amazingg!!! Thank you so much for the translatorr!

Compare to the first book, this one is better overall, got tha family conflict and also the end of both Taka and Arthur's bond problem. Especially the part when Taka finally makes decision. Oh and also the ending when there are the 3 wolf cubs, kind of fun reading that they got family of their own.

The translation is great! Very thankful for the awesome job :)

I have to say the smut is the best stuff in the books (1+2). The story does rely heavily on the usual old yaoi cliches. So it is not for everyone. Although I've enjoyed it so far I did experience some cringe moments while reading it. I have to say that as a reader I'm not much bothered by stuff and despite its cliches I do enjoy werewolf stories.

Spoiler

Beware of the content if you are troubled by the topic: 16 year old child, still attending high school gets kidnapped by an adult twice his age who brutally r*pes him for the sake of forceful imp**gnation, the kid is very naive, sheltered and inexperienced and easily falls for him in a classical Stockholm syndrome setting (it was like 2 or 3 weeks, seriously). If you've read books on actual kidnappings the seme follows the same patterns on mind manipulation strategies twisting the situation in his favor, which is disgusting. That said the only stuff that kinda gives it some sense, is the werewolves heavy reliance on their instincts.

If you enjoy smut and werewolves and can ignore the clichés then you might enjoy it. :) <<less

Comparing this novel with the first one, I somehow enjoy this one since this time, although Stockholm syndrome is starting, I like how the character Taka, is coherent in his thoughts and what he is doing. I'm sure a lot of you thought he is being a brat but we are not the one experiencing this. I like how he had felt not because he had no choice and because of the 'bond'. He really takes it upon him to realize that he has an attraction towards the man. Although... more>> of course, we may see it differently but personally, I like how the story went this way cause the author could just go and say it's just because of the bond but s/he didn't. So I like it already.

I also like how the drama between the family of Taka didn't drag on because, at this point in the plot, I feel there is not a need to drag it and create so many melodramas. I'm not a fan of those kinds of stuff. So another thumbs up for me as a reader.

About the cliches going on in this novel, I didn't really bother. I've read so many books that I'm almost immune to it. If I have to give attention then it is because the author didn't utilize it well. That's it. <<less

True to its tags, not for the faint-hearted.

I just rooted so much for Taka's prided character (as he himself claimed) that it was such a let down.

Spoiler

15 days was enough for him to surrender or believed in the bond that he shared with ML. Their love was centered around Taka's dehumanizing as he listened to his wolf instinct. Given that he was bored or so with his mundane life, then it was really a happy ending for him to be together with Arthur. Yet another love story package as "you can't understand, it's destiny." I should not have expected much from a Japanese writing and its common plot shenanigans.

Not the most interesting werewolf story out there, but I do like the smut and the cute ending. That there are so few wolves was sad to me. But it was a nice enough read.

Novel was pretty much satisfying.

Although the plot was quite predictable, it was a good ride. The decisions they made based on the situation, sometimes didn't make sense to me. Actually I felt like they were quite childish, it would have been okay if it was just Taka, but Arthur too? He's like 37 years old, so why be so narrow minded... I was annoyed because Taka was such a child, after all he's like 16 or 17 something noh, therefore it was understandable...

I liked the way Arthur played his Alpha... more>> role, protecting Taka and all... Smut was tasty. The epilogue was cute, I loved that.

Good one to try when you're tired with mind boggling novels. <<less
