TW: Attempted r*pe/Dub-con on chapter 9

Even though nothing more happened than MC's stripping and groping, the scene still really stressed me out because I didn't know it existed or what would happen next. I felt quite uncomfortable both during and after this scene.

MC, Xie Xihai, was sent to the capital as a hostage. ML, Sheng Lin, is a martial arts master who escorts MC on the journey. MC knows that he is being used by his father as a sacrifice since his father prefers his younger brother (born of another mother).

Along the way, pampered MC pesters and wears down the cold faced ML. ML ends up falling for MC and so does MC for ML.

It turns out the ML was sent by his master (who turns out to be MC's uncle) to escort MC as serious protection. MC's mom is the younger sister of ML's master, she planned the protection cause MC's dad planned to mu*der MC once he reached the capital. Then his dad would have an excuse to raise troops and attack the capital.

In the end, MC's mom dealt with his dad and had a secret guard disguise as his dad. They then took over the empire since the emperor died without an heir before the war started.

MC ended up traveling and enjoying life with ML.
