In the last chapters, she finally opens up herself to the male leads (and yes, plural, because the author doesn't say it clearly who's the one, even though brother Huo had the most 'steamy' moments, and brother Li had the most romantic.

But now, why hasn't her character developed throughout the story? I have some observations and theories.

The theory is: The author herself doesn't seen to want to choose. I guess she loves her 3 children too much (the main charas) and doesn't want them heartbroken. She also turned the original FL into a scumbag, so she is not an option.

The facts are: Yuhuan, acts from the psychology she developed in her previous life. And this is pointed throughout the story, how she acts around people "warm, but never close." and how she spends her day "enjoying the best she can but without shedding bloody tears for anything." And so its understandeable that a person like her, that was prepared to die early in her previous life, to have this kind of unnatached view towards relationships. She makes it clear, when she reaches a breaking point (finally) in the last chapters. And it points out that her development, if happens, will happen in the afterstory (that is: we will never know, we can only guess).

chasing after her and is a complete creep. Who tf thinks it's ok to sneak inside someone's bedroom while they're asleep when their bodyguards were switching shifts? MC's villain brother should've shot him when he had the chance.

It's an open-ended story. You won't get to see who she chose in the end. For me, this was best choice of ending because I really can't bear having a harem nor choosing one and the other becomes estranged.

Although there's still the ending of just having purely just siblings love but the plot had them (brothers) falling in-love with her early on. So, this one is definitely a no go.

There could have been the possibility of having the brothers just have unrequited love but the author wanted them to break free from this so, there was a male cannon fodder to take the brunt of the impact.

The original heroine became a cannon fodder. She actually found a book about the original plot which made her want to take a shortcut to success. It didn't work obviously. The plot deviated too much and she lost her halo.

It's sad. Her IQ dropped. She could have used the plot to her advantage by striving to gain resources on her own but she decided that she wanted the ML's help, so, she tried to use the plot to seduce the ML.

Anyway, it's a common plot of the original heroine losing her halo.
