This is so nice, , short, , my cup of tea...

I know similar theme novel but not as sweet as this one, , I feel like eating sugar from time to time and I smile non stop, , reading each chapter sith ease and jealousy, ,

No big drama and even the love rival is so sensible but not to the point I feel bad for them, , I am just grateful that they are not being annoying till the end, ,

This novel is on the slow side, perfect for when you just want to relax and don't exert your brain on drama, mysteries and intrigues.

Although it's a "cold to loving relationship" type of novel, the "cold" part is not like in the majority of novels where ML is all "know your place, don't expect me to love you, don't think too highly of yourself". Instead, ML just doesn't see love as something that he needs. He is respectful, serious, and tries his best to be a qualified husband. But he... more>> just doesn't see the need for emotions and sentiments. So, their relationship is never bad, it's just very awkward and polite at first. Later, MC falls in love, ML falls in love, ML learns that feelings exist and that he likes MC, and so on.

There is very little conflict, so some people might see it as uneventful. Personally, I am more bored by relationships that can't progress unless something goes wrong first, so I found this novel interesting. <<less

If you expect Cold ML... Technically it's not wrong but also not right.

He doesn't shy away from Intimacy. He's not Overbearing Domineering CEO type. He's not indifferent. He's not fully Expressionless. He will laugh and smile toward MC or when he think something related to MC. In away he's Awkward but also Adorkable and Very Sweet!

He made rules in the beginning of Marriage, and yet he will be tripped by those.

He's no Pushover. Inside he yearn for his Husband's sugar. Easily get flirted by his Husband Natural (Unconscious) Flirt, and yet will feel saddened because he can't attack back because his Husband is too Dense in this case.

This Novel is truly Full of Fluff!!! Sugar EVERYWHERE!!! Full of Dog Food!!! It's Pure Love Story!!!

It really makes me smile when ML have this Family/love Counseling from time to time not only from his assistant but also from his cousin/relatives...

He didn't shy away from his newly found emotion but rather embrace it and learn to adjust accordingly. He is very determined to communicate end express what he feels and of course to ask and convey a certain things to his partner to have a better understanding between them and especially to avoid misunderstanding.

He doesn't like the feeling of being left out and want to dominate... more>> the MC not in overbearing way but into a sweet and fluffy way. He wanted to know more about MC so he asks and let the MC wrote his likes and dislike in detailed.

Its sweet though the ML is not perfect and relatively a typical ML (and yet at the same time he's not). His shortcomming is very clear at the beginning, he is frank and strict, his words were not coated with consideration. Its easy to get hurt and left into an embarrassment situation and its not easy to have a conversation with him in fear that you'll overstep his boundaries and will be rejected right away (he also clearly stared the NO's). But as you know him more its look like he is very clueless when it comes to emotion and it makes me think that he has difficulty with it.

Anyways I think what the author tried to say is that "Communication is the answer to have a sweet and fluffy love life"😂

The MC is perfectly matched with the ML. He is very cautious and obedient. It looks like he was catering to the ML but No. It's who he is... Because of his past he learned not to be Nosy.

I actually don't like him at first (same as the ML) but learned to love him as chapters went by. He is meek?? and doesn't go against ML (not that he have reason not to hehe)... His patience is very long.. He accommodate ML easily without second thought. But later on I think its alright. No need to be dramatic.

All I can say is I love them both ML's effort and MC's patience. other characters were also likeable. I really like how ML emphasize COMMUNICATION and how MC share his love life experience to his friends..

Love it! It's just a simple and cute story about 2 people falling in love. ML is extremely jealous but not in an annoying way, like he felt jealous but he didn't say or do anything that would be annoying to MC. He's emotionally repressed but he does try his best to be a good husband, I like it.

A lot of fluff and dog food, nothing extremely major, however reading this doesn't feel boring somehow. The only trigger warning is child ab*se and spousal ab*se from MC's dad and I... more>> guess internalized h*mophobia from MC's friend in his college days (tho I don't know if this counts as trigger warning lol) and I guess that's it.

Give it a try if you want to read something light, funny and fluffy. No regrets. <<less

I like it. It's sweet. Were the small misunderstandings unnecessary? Maybe. But the title is about vinegar so I should have expected it loool.

I must say, I just want the MC to grow a pair of balls and stop cowering from his husband. It's not like he has been violent towards you.

This is sooo cute, I love the relationship between the ML/MC!

No angst in this novel, just pure fluff

I didn't really like the ML in the beginning because he felt too indifferent to me but he really grew on me when I continued reading. He really cares for the MC!

Edit: Re-read this after the translation has been completed and gosh! This is one of my favorite novels already!!!

I think the title can be changed now to "accidentally read a novel full of sweets" lol

My legs get weak while reading the interactions between MC and ML! It's just the right amount of sweetness and I love how their relationship developed. How they communicate and how they treat each other, it makes me yearn for something like that.

What they have makes me wanna fall in love ya know???

Oh gosh! I definitely have to reread this someday again because right now, this novel is making me believe and want love again!!!! <<less

I found the characters unlikeable and lacking depth, which made it difficult for me to become invested in their stories.

The world-building was lacking and the relationship between leads was boring & forced. The dynamic between them was even worse (a yes man and an obsessive controlling husband don't make for a pleasant read). The entire story was super shallow. Quite a waste of my time.

No one seemed to mention it in the reviews but ML definitely doesn't act like a regular cold businessman. He actually shows behaviour similar to certain people with autism. It's really really bad. Later on he is more affectionate but it takes a lot of time for him to learn basic things. Although I think he's not a bad person and later on loves MC but his behaviour in the beginning was unintentionally hurtful. Besides that I hate ML's cousin, I know he means well but the way he calls... more>> ML "Gege", calls ML his and even clings to him is weird. This is one of THEE best feel-good romance BL media I've ever consumed. Eating dog food never felt so sweet! It just continued to get better and better till the end!

I can't think of anything I disliked, so I'm just listing all the things I loved:

  1. I love how even though Qin Yiheng was initially cold and distant, he never patronized or belittled Chu Yi intentionally. It made Chu Yi's falling for him all the more convincing!
  2. I love how even though Chu Yi was naturally passive in relationships and took time to open up, he isn't written as a doormat in other aspects of his life. He's talented in design, great at socializing with people and making them feel at ease, and adept at reading between the lines. He's cute without coming off as childish or dumb.

    He might fear his waste-of-oxygen of a "father", but that doesn't mean he won't fight back or confide in people he completely trusts.

  3. The romantic development between Chu Yi and Qin Yiheng. The author is literally a deity among mortals for possessing such talent and skill in putting into words and making the journey so worthwhile.
  4. The fluff, flirtation, and s*x scenes between Chu Yi and Qin Yiheng. Qin Yiheng being a natural romantic and a gentleman (who apologized MORE THAN ONCE without hesitation!) was so f*cking hot and sexy. I want my own Qin Yiheng so bad...
  5. I love Chu Yi and Zhang Kai's friendship. Chu Yi having a gay best friend was a breath of fresh air from the typical gay/bi MC with a straight best friend (who, most of the time, they have to find a way to come out to).

I will definitely re-read this web novel again and again! I'm also grateful for Shanghai Fantasy introducing this masterpiece of a story to non-Chinese speakers with the excellent translation. I'm sure you won't regret reading this novel, and will probably have a hard time parting ways with it like I did!

I started reading this because I was bored. I didn't regret my decision. This is everything I needed and maybe more.

What was so great about it? There's no actual conflict, no dogblood, no rivals and no overpowered protagonists. And that's the beauty of it. This story was like a breath of fresh air; it was so different from anything I had read before.

I love the fact that the ML isn't a cold black belly CEO in this story. He is a CEO, but that doesn't give him the power to... more>> create wind and rains in the world. He is very much a human, and also has undiagnosed autism. He has emotions, likes and dislikes. He gets tired, angry, happy, and as you can fathom from the name of the story, jealous. But his jealously doesn't end up hurting anybody, he's so cute when he's getting coaxed by the MC. The MC, too, is such a darling. He's a strong man whose life doesn't revolve around the ml. He's strong willed and likes to solve his own problems. He's also hilarious. All the characters in this story are very lifelike.

I love this story so much. The MC and ML have the dynamic of an old married couple who have gone through thick and thin together.

I had thought I don't like stories set in real world that don't have at least a little bit of fantasy mixed into it, but this story made me think again. Maybe the brilliance of this novel goes beyond genres.

I'm not equipped with a vocabulary good enough to fully express how much this novel means to me. It touched the parts of my heart that I didn't know existed. The fact that they always communicated, had a healthy relationship and loved and respected each other is so beautiful that I want to squeal into my pillow like a pig everytime I think about it.

I know people might get put off by the fact that the ML's autism never gets addressed, only described as a quirk or personality trait, but I feel like that was exactly the intention of the author. In many asian countries, there is a significant lack of awareness about mental health and people seldom go to psychologists for an autism diagnosis unless the symptoms are very, very pronounced. If it was the real world, with how mild ML's autism is, it would just be seen as a quirk.

Aaah this is such a healing novel and now I must roam again miserably in search of more 'food for my soul', this time with higher standards..... sigh <<less

straight up fluff... good read... you see both MC and ML growing as they navigate their way around falling in love... if you’re looking for a light read and something without a complicated plot, with enough sticky sweetness, then this is a great choice...

Initially Im gonna give it 3 stars, but eventually it keep went up. This my first time give such a high rate to other than action, thriller, martial arts, mystery kinda novel.

Ngl bruh, I really cant stand ML in the first few chapters. Other peoples, even MC might think he is cute or smth but not me. For me he is just rude asf. He was simply blunt, so cold, so unfeeling, no consideration of others feelings at all just like a robot and he feels so distant. I feel... more>> like ML treat MC like a subordinate or a life assistant instead (from the way ML talks to MC). MC always looks like he is walking on eggshell when interacting with ML, like he'd speak or do things carefully, etc just like how subordinates'd behave towards their boss. ML wanted to be treated intimately by MC, or wanted MC to talk to him more, but every time MC took the initiative he only gave simple responses which made him sound disinterested. I even thought, if I were to marry someone like this I'd probably divorce him within a day. As someone with social anxiety disorder, I really cant imagine talking to someone like ML who speak straight forwardly, I'd probably traumatized for the rest of my life 🤧 Really tho, I have this urge to strangle ML everytime he talk with that ordering tones, I know he doesnt mean to be rude but still it pisses me off somehow.

Good thing MC has a good personality and patience so he is able to be the winner of life (bc he married a good husband lol).

Well, later ML start to change bit by bit tho. His way of talking is still as straight forward as ever but he start to show more care toward MC like he'd say "You are more important than work." or "I'd like to be the only one who know you best." etc, smth like that. Its also makes MC feels more comfortable around ML. Eventhough ML only want to know more about MC just bc the obligation as husband at first but later he became more genuine about it. Well theres a say "Dont know, thus dont like." right ? And once ML start to change and started to realize his feelings for MC, their interaction also becoming sweeter and sweeter, your teeth gonna hurt, you might even get diabetes and your stomach will be full of dog food lmao. Really, I want to scream everytime they flirts. 8 (>□<) 8

Since ML is such a straight forward person, they'd always talks things out. Even if theres a misunderstanding it will be resolved quickly.

Really satisfied with ML's character development. I was really bothered by his straight forwardness before, like can you restrain yourself a bit ? I always feel the secondhand embarrassment everytime he unconciously (?) embarrasses MC 😭 Well, fortunatelly he changed tho. I really apreciate it that ML is willing to admit his own mistakes or shortcomings and he also willing to change. As I said before, he is really straight forward, he will ask MC if theres something he need to change, so he can be a better person for MC and MC will be more comfortable with him. Really, Im impressed, I apreciate his effort 👍 He can even be considered one of best ML.

I really like MC, I like his personality alot, he is cute, sensible and considerate of other's feelings, also Im enjoying his inner thoughts so much lmao. I can feel him and most of the time I find him so relatable. Others might think MC is kinda pasive or coward ? But I think he is just being carefull ? He dont want to expect too much bc 'Expectation is the root of all heartache'. Afterall you know right, at the beginning ML was really hard to get along with and he married just bc its on his agenda and think MC suit the criteria to be his spouse. But later MC finally brace himself and try to pursue ML, so its really good progress.

I didn't expect much at first. I think this kind of story usually exciting at first but tend to get boring later, but this one was different. Instead, its getting more and more exciting as you read further. All in all, this novel is really good. Good flow and pace. Misundertanding solved easily and quickly. And potential love rivals got rid of easily too (Not sure if they can be considered as love rival tho and they just disappeared into thin air after 🤣). Segg part eventhough its not detailed (y'all know about Chinese censorship right?), but I still can feel the tension. The only thing that I think unnecessary here is the matter regarding MC's father. I mean, it doesnt really have any impact in their relationship 😅 Even when the matter brought up by MC, its just solved easily, like you just need a lawyer and problem solved.

I think the author is really good with word ? And bc of it I can feels the characters emotion. I like the side characters here, theyre so supoortive and help much with MC & ML's relationship developement. At least thats how I see it.

This novel is so boring to me nothing ever happens! It's a sugar story with no substance.

The type of novel written specificely for people that complain about dog blood novels on nu giving them low ratings just because they hate "toxic" tropes while screaming their love for "healthy" dynamics in a novel like this.

4.6 for this is just a luducrious rating but I shouldn't be suprised since nu reviwers trend towards loving boring novels like this over interesting ones.

If you are looking for a wholesome lovestory without dogblood and up and downs, this is your 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 rating. Go for it.

For me, it became a bit boring.... the story is a bit long for no excitement but it is also really good.

The writing and translation are great. The MC and ML have a wholesome relationship, no forcing and pretty much everything gets communicated. Although I have to say, this might be only thanks to ML. MC has a avoiding character and would... more>> most likely not communicate everything if not for MLs repeated reminders. MC feels a bit like he is sliding down the road of stereotypical but ML feels refreshing honest.

The whole story centers solely on the relationship and there is not much side story. The side character are not really bold up. They appear and disappear.

The story is great in its own genre but a bit too boring for me over all. I think this is perfect if you just read some up and down drama to cleanse your palate.

FIVE STARS!!

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH I CANNOT EXPLAIN MY EXCITEMENT TO YOU.

The characters by themselves are nothing out of the ordinary, but their dynamic together makes you feel warm and excited. This is not some cheesy romance story, but instead depicts the reality of a cliche plot. Indeed, it is a cliche to marry someone you met twice, but their development is so natural, that the smallest movements and actions they do for each other gets you squealing.

No unnecessary drama, facts. But the writing?? Just like the characters in... more>> this series, the author does not waste a single character to make your heart thump. The descriptions of the romance is little but maximized. If you don't understand, you must read. <<less

It's very slow, I've thought of dropping this off and I'm so glad I didn't. In the first few chapters, ML was very one-dimensional but after warming up to MC, he became likeable. The chemistry between MC and ML was not rushed thus, it was slow. There was no drama, just fluff and sweetness. It's heavily focused on them two and no one else, there's also no side couple (which I like about it). This is my type of novel.

Highly recommended for those who wants slow-paced romance and tooth-rotting fluff.

If you're like me who were worried that the vinegar will be too much, I'm assuring you now that it's not. The ML knows boundaries, and he knows how to ask for permission.

I quite like this novel, I got hooked by the description. The relationship of the main characters are cute, and it's well-written. No major misunderstanding, no third party or white moonlight, it's basically a clear stream.

Recommended to read it if you like the description.
