Jeong Taekjin, a poor boy, fell from a building due to school violence. The only thing remaining in his memory after the incident is the name of his assailant: Chun Nakwon. Just the name of the boy who, they say, quickly confessed his wrongdoing and was expelled.

In the suffocating injustice, Taekjin’s only recourse is a burning desire for revenge and the quenching of his suspicions surrounding his hazy memories. He seeks out Nakwon to declare his vengeance. He expected denial or escape, but instead, Nakwon says…

“I’ll do as you wish, Jeong Taekjin.”

He promises absolute obedience, something utterly unbelievable.

“But make one promise to me.”

“…What promise?”

“You see it through to the end, until you’ve paid me back for everything.”

And it’s a strange obedience, one that Taekjin can’t seem to let go of.
