Came here for the smut and stayed for the drama lol.

Pretty standard dramatic plot with a couple in a contractual marriage nearing its end. MC loved ML throughout the marriage but is getting sick of a one-sided love for the last 3 years and wanted a divorce. ML being low EQ suddenly realize he actually loves MC. Shenanigans ensues lol.

Pretty great so far, but I really hope that the author won't drag it too long since its gonna get tiring af since the plot is pretty basic as it is.

And I honestly really enjoyed it.

The FL is very likable. Her character is firm and nice, emotional but logical. I really like the way her thoughts and feelings are articulated throughout the novel.

The ML is eh. I think the way he acts has reason (trauma) and it makes sense. However, he doesn't have a lot of depth and is p typical.

I don't like how

the ML finds out he has feelings for the FL. I feel like it's lazy of the author to never give them a single moment where they truly talk and bond but instead has this whole "she's a part of his life". It's just really boring and also means we don't even KNOW if they have chemistry which is ridiculous.

Smut is decent. The novel isn't really smut focused but it doesn't shy away from description. <<less

At first, good day to everyone who are reading this. This review might contain some spoilers so read at your own risk.

I have read this type of stories many times and it is always like - a girl for some reason falls in love with a block of ice and somehow ends up marrying him on a contract or an arranged marriage.... and of course its an unhappy marriage with the girl trying her best to please her husband and the husband ignoring her or in this case only staying... more>> with her and reliving his s*xual desires whenever he wants and sometimes by showing wrong "warm" signals.... making the girl think that there is some sort of hope... then after some time the girl realizes that her feelings are never gonna be reciprocated so she ends up divorcing him... then all of a sudden the iceberg starts to melt and the husband trying to somehow bind her to him or making her come back to him and as the story is right now progressing with male lead asking female lead out on five dates...i can tell that the divorce is not gonna happen., , , , as always, , , the same cliche.....

i really hope the story wouldn't go this way.... if this turns the other way around I am gonna delete this review and make a good one instead. But right now this is giving me the cliche vibes, , , , so gonna camp here for a while and sincerely hope that it is gonna have a good ending that doesn't involve them getting together again.

Now for the plot and the characters I am gonna say that they are human like. I mean you can feel the complex emotions and the lingering emotions and really feel for the characters. While reading the some chapters I really had to take a breather because it was getting way to suffocating for me to keep on reading and watching as sun ha falls deeper into despair and while Do uok is just like still being confused about his feelings.I get it that they have their own reasons for being this way. But it really doesns't give them the right to ab*se other people the way they like.

later in the chapters I got to know that Do uk had some trauma in his early childhood, basically he had never had a decent family love and it led him to believe that money could solve any problem and that's why he did the things he did. But honestly this doesn't gives him the green signal to treat the female lead the way he did. Also it just doesn't justifies his actions and nobody is going to change my mind in this. As I read the chapters I saw some people saying that they wish the male lead and the female lead got together which just does not makes any sense, I mean what would you do if this happpend to you.i can never go back to such a person who treated me like tr*sh but then again this is a novel.I get that people are obsessed with HE, but honestly being happy alone and being comfortable in your own skin is also a happy ending so I dont get all these fuss about them getting together.I started this story for smut but now am staying for the plot.I am glad that the male lead has finally got his feelings in order.I am happy at his character development.I also understand the female leads lingering feelings and how hard it is for her to accept everything.I would like her to settle this matter once and for all and have a good life like the way she deserves. It's not like I want the male lead suffer, I know that he is regretting and thats enough for me. Now I want them to go their seperate ways. It is a really toxic relatinship. At the beginning I could see that the femlae lead was not clear about what she wants fromthe husband and also the husband was like never gave her the frdedom nor the time to know or understand how she feels. He just kept having s*x with her. There was really no conversation whatso ever.

After this long rant all I can say is all that matters to me is what she ends up doing.I am gonna give it five stars for nwo and if it does not have my expected ending just gonna reduce it to 2 stars. The author is not to blame and nor are the translators.I admire them for doing this work. But then again this is my own opinion so if anyone wants to read it please go ahead and do it. I was surprised that the rating was low. It was a great read actually.

I like the FL and her determination. She didnt waver from what she wanted to do just because of a few words. The way she let the ML suffer and regret is satisfying enough to me. I mean she loved that man actually.

I wish there was more scene and elaboration of her being successful as herself instead of just being a wife.

The ML hmm... I dont like how shallow he was before he realised his feelings. But... more>> yes, thats how usually people are when they get things easily. Once they learned the lesson I guess they will change themselves for the people they love. Thats human.

Overall I love love love the plot the storyline and the ML regret. It has a good flow and fits with my logic of how things shud go. I dont care how cliche was it. If I were the FL I will do the same thing.

Thanks you so much author and translator for a great romance story i've read in a while. <<less

The story is mainly from the FL's point of view, though they do occasionally jump to the ML's, which I appreciate. It will also flashback to the past to show when they met.

The plot is the typical cold ML doesn't appreciate the FL who is in love with him, and she leaves.

I did get annoyed by the noncommunication going on, as there is a lot, in the first 50 or so chapters. Both of the characters are flawed in their own way, the FL for not communicating her issues... more>> properly, and the ML for not paying attention to the FL and always interrupting her.

They both have reasons for doing so, though I think the FL is more in the wrong, since if she did have a problem, instead of keeping it to herself until she bursts, she really should've tried to tell her husband... Actually, later on in the story, I get more and more annoyed with the FL.

It's a good story overall, even with the whole misunderstanding trope, and I did admittedly come for the angst. <<less

I was hooked in the beginning and after she left but at this point it seems it's going to be like every other cliché novel. I honestly hoped that she would be able to move on from him. I didn't want them to be together again and for him to regret it and face the consequences of his actions. But leading to the end of the story, that's probably not gonna happen. Disappointed
