What is it that makes a man fall in love with a woman at first sight? Appearance? Aura? Wealth? NO, when campus prince and gaming expert, student Xiao Nai first saw Bei Wei Wei, what made him fall in love was not her extraordinary beauty; but her slim and slender fingers that were flying across the keyboard and her calm and composed manner!!! Embarrassing, no?

At the same time, gaming expert Bei Wei Wei was on the computer methodically commanding a guild war, and won a perfect and glorious victory despite being at a disadvantage; completely unaware of the fact that cupid is nearby.

Soon after basketball player; swimmer; all-around excellent student; and game company president, Xiao Nai, uses tactics both on- and offline to capture this beauty’s heart. Therefore this romance slowly bloomed.

This novel confused me at first (like really). But it paid off to keep reading. The couple is beautiful in more ways than one and after reading so many blandcromances and xianxia, this is extremely touching.

I like it. End of sentence. Try it out. You need a break from other things. 😘

Good translate. Nice & charming words. But the story is just 'ordinary'. Boy meets girl. Boy loves girl. They're married and live happily ever after.

That's all. No plot twist, practically no antagonist, no rough wave. Read, smile, read next, finish.

Unless you're the type of person that would criticise an apple for not being a banana, then this novel can't be anything less the 5/5. Yes, it has no drama, and is purely fluff, but it is heartwarming, hilarious, and wholesome.

There is great chemistry between the characters, the plot is quite realistic, despite the lack of drama. Perhaps because drama often feels forced, and characters seem incapable of escaping it, it is a nice change to see the Leads dismantle any problems that come their way without burning excessive bridges.... more>> I think this is what is best about having a shameless Male Lead, he doesn't need to destroy all opposition, he will pick his battles, the ones that matter, and the ones that are fun and convenient.

There is not a single chapter that failed to make me laugh, and at the same time you feel the sincerity of their love for each other. There is mutual respect, and it feels so comfortable and organic. <<less

“If I knew that I would love you so much one day.
I would definitely fall in love with you at first sight.”

I didn't really know what to expect going into this novel, but I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable it was to read. Wei Wei and Xiao Nai made such a cute and ridiculously funny pair. I also really loved their friend groups, they were always so supportive and good to each other (not to mention how hilarious their interactions were). The MMORPG element was definitely the... more>> best part for me though. I'm a huge video game nerd, so it's really nice to see book characters obsess over something that I love. <<less

I haven't read this kind of story before where it is a combo of a gaming world and he real world. I was really surprised at how it worked so well :) the characters are cute and work well together and the love story is sweet and grows nicely. 10/10 for the fluffy factor. Nothing too crazy dramatic or schemey happenes, nomisunderstandings. A really cute easy read. The side stories are also short and sweet and will defiantly make you chuckle!

I t's been a while since I've read the novel and watched the drama. I liked it but I also hated it. MC came off as an independent and strong type of person, highly intelligent, a beauty of the campus, a top student, yet when she's with the male lead she becomes infinitely inferior, submissive, and obedient. Even her son says that her mother-in-law said that he was smarter than his mother! Why does the novel keep putting her into such inferior positions when compared to the male lead and... more>> even her own child? Other than that I thought the novel was ok. I was delighted by the BL scenes, but the casually mentioned s*x scene in he beginning was not ok, it didn't seem like he wanted it in the first place. But I still love KO despite it all. <<less

I saw the drama first and then once I found out it was a novel, I ended up here. I loved both. The novel gave me a different view of the characters and I enjoyed it.

This story is so cute. There are no problems or misunderstandings for the main characters to work through so it's pure fluff. I did skip over some of the gaming parts though because I found them to be a bit boring. The side stories are also hilarious. I highly recommend.

Edit: Watched the drama, surprisingly (and pretty rare) followed the original novel pretty closely, with a few changes that made the plot more detailed and a bit more exciting. I think the events in the novel translated onto screen really well (perhaps even better than the writing) and in many ways, the acting made the friendships (the girls and guys' sides) much fuller. It was nice to experience their bonds of friendship, family, etc. Visually on the screen. I'm tempted to raise the rating of this novel after watching the... more>> drama!

Sweet story, humorous and cute and brought back a lot of feels for MMORPGs I played in the past. Overall, a pretty standard romance with MMO setting, very lighthearted, not much drama or angst so it's a nice fluffy 'break' story to read in-between heavier stuff.

I really liked the MC, who's an emotionally mature, generous, and intelligent gal who doesn't bother with petty love rivals or backstabbing idiocy. Unfortunately, the ML was a bit too perfect and was literally a genius in everything. Completely worshiped by everyone.

He's literally the top hacker, top musician/composer, top video director, top gamer, top athlete, top designer, most handsome looks, etc, etc.

The ML would have been much more bearable if our MC wasn't also part of his fanclub and seriously put him on a pedestal the whole time (which made the relationship feel a bit unnatural/extra awkward). <<less

I liked this. My one complaint, (and that's after watching the drama adaptation, which is very good and I would highly recommend) is that the female lead is very silent. We get her personality because we're inside her head for the story, but when you look at what she actually says, she's either silent or speaks blandly. This didn't impact upon my enjoyment of it, it's just something I noticed after watching the drama and reflecting upon the story.

The main couples online relationship was cute, their relationship in real... more>> life felt a little forced in the beginning but I did feel the chemistry. I honestly enjoyed this very much and have reread it a couple of times since completing it. I also recommend the drama which follows the source material very closely, but expands upon the business side of Xiao Nai's company and shows more of the interactions between his friends. <<less

Unfortunately, I was kind of disappointed in this one. Perhaps because I had super high expectations based on the exceptional reviews and just in general how much everyone loves it. Also the synopsis made it seem more exciting, especially the ML's personality. I had thought that the ML would be more shameless (which I guess he is) but like more upfront shameless instead of being pretty quiet and reticent most of the time, which is what it seemed like to me.

The FL is pretty great, I was especially happy when... more>> her drop-dead gorgeous looks put down everybody else. Though this also gets me thinking since I haven't really seen anyone IRL whether male or female who I would consider really gorgeous. Guess that's just something idealistic in all these romance stories. As usual, however, I was pretty frustrated by how absent-minded and dazed she became in front of the ML. Is he really that idol-like? That's iffy for me. I like confidence in the FL, which I guess she has with all of the confessions she gets, but at least not very much so in front of the ML. The ML is the classic Mr. Perfect, which is fine, though I would have enjoyed him being more forward and hilarious instead of being so serious all the time.

Overall, I found this relaxing and enjoyable, though not quite as good as MWFRL, which I love. I was also disappointed when it ended, but mostly because I didn't get as much satisfaction out of this as I would have expected/wanted, esp since I had saved this to read in anticipation for a long time now. I did, however, love the BL that they snuck in at the end tho ;)

Edit: after reading the Lil Bliss version of the side stories, which are much more complete, I feel a lot more satisfied :) Their family is adorable, and so is the BL couple hehe <<less

Loooved it! The characters were great, such a sweet story. The pacing was on point, and the plot interesting. What more is there to say? Oh right - loved how it connected to "Come to eat, Shan Shan", another super cute novel.

This series is the best! It's how I got interested in Chinese novels and now I can't seem to stop. I absolutely love the pairing and the story's plot.

The only thing I dislike about this novel is that it doesn't have more side stories about their children.

Nice heartwarming novel that calms your mind & heart and puts a smile on your face with good romance, likeable character and a sweet story. What more can you ask for. I just love it.

If you want a relaxing novel then its highly recommended.

And don't worry about those negative reviews just read it. I just can't understand why are people are critical of FL and ML being handsome or beautiful or being genius like WTF, can't you just enjoy a goddamm novel and not hate it.

My first review on my first day as member of this community...

Thank you...

This was the first novel I read and was a wonderful experience... (so much "first"...)

Many others followed but, like the first love, the feeling I had in reading this novel I did not forget...

Thanks to translators for their work, for dedication and time spent on the project...

Warmly recommend the novel...

You will not regret and maybe, like me, you will want to continue with others such gems...

Five stars and all the starry sky...

OH. MY. GOD. So currently I am watching Love 020 and the opening picture of the drama was sooooo familiar that I knew I've seen it somewhere! Then I thought nahh maybe it was just my imagination. Then I just googled on Love 020, TURNS OUT THE OTHER NAME FOR THE DRAMA IS A SLIGHT SMILE IS VERY CHARMING!! NO WONDER IT WAS SO FAMILIAR! Because I stumbled upon this book like 4-5 times before. I will definitely read this book after I finish the drama XD

p/s: the drama is... more>> quite famous too that I stumbled on it few times already and this is by far one of my favourite drama =D Yangyang so hot now I can read the book and imagine it's him. =P <<less

Thank you for translating this novel. :)

I've watched its film drama first before reading this novel.

So, I'm quite suprised that there're more side stories here. It's a very pleasent suprise! :)

Warning! Spoiler!

I've watched the film drama's that was created based on this novel. It's a very good film.

The lead actor and actress are good looking people, so they make a beautiful couple just like the novel described them to be. They also have great chemistry and definitely well matched.

But I prefer reading this novel because my imagination can run wild. Afterall, there're things that can't be explained in film.

I also feel like I can understand the true personality of the main characters more after reading this novel.

With how both of the main characters, Xiao Nai and Bei Wei Wei, fall in love pretty quickly, I think I can understand more why people in real world could marry the person that they've just met. When you find your soulmate, you'd just want to be with them.

Bei Wei Wei fits with Xiao Nai very well. Both of them are definitely not doormats.

Even though Wei Wei has higher tolerance than Xiaou Nai, she could stand up for herself.

While Xiao Nai just silently destroy his enemies. He's like a shadow master!

Well, he's definitely the "talk less, do more" kind of guy.

Definitely one of the sweetest, light, romance stories. The story is centered around online MMORPG gaming but is more of a slice-of-life story. It’s very sweet, a slow blooming romance and while the MC and ML are both beautiful, talented and charming, they’re still very much humane in a sense, and relatable. The plot is realistic but satisfying, so there isn’t an over exaggerated villain or complete, annihilating, revenge, it’s all quite realistic but in most cases is fluffy or makes you smug in satisfaction. In some ways it’s a... more>> romance/technical centered version of ‘The King’s Avatar/Quan Zhi Gao Shou’, where the story focuses more on the life of the players outside of the game but the game still plays a key element to the story.

I’ve read the story, translated chapters of the manhua and watched the drama but personally I like the original story best.

In the drama the female supporting characters, or the female MC’s friends, are slightly more developed, particularly her best friend. She also gets a romance line, but it was a romance triangle not with the ML, rather with a boy who liked the MC, but she didn’t like him, and tried to get close to her via the game. Except he got close to the MC’s friend because he mistakenly thought that the character she used was the MC’s. Personally, I didn’t like this triangle simply because the friend annoyed me a bit with her immaturity, she’s not bad, just a bit annoying. In the novel, the friends all don’t show up as much, and as far as I can remember the triangle never happened, it was very much focused on the MC and ML.

This was the most heart-warming, cutest, and funniest Chinese web novel I've read yet. It was beautifully written and have finished it in one day. If the sequel was ever released, I would be one of the first to read it, because it's that good. Ahhh, now I feel lonely after reading that story. I want to keep reading the main couple's life together 😍

A little cliche, but still a fun and easy read.

Basically, a super hot but introverted girl plays video games. Her in-game "husband" dumps her for the "most beautiful player, " but then the game's strongest player "proposes" to her. Little did she know that her perfect "husband" was really... (I won't spoil it)

Don't expect a lot of gaming or strife -- this is more about the romance. Somehow, it really reminds me of Twilight... not the vampire part, but definitely the shoujo-ness (sparkly-perfect-guy-who-loves-only-you theme). It's a fluffy romance that... more>> you'll enjoy if you don't think too hard about it.

Dreams of Jianghu's translations are good as usual -- well-written but with lots of Chinese vocabulary to remember. Dreams of Jianghu are always good at capturing funny/cheeky conversations and environments.
Lil Bliss has translated more of the side stories, but the translations flow a little less smoothly. I'm still thankful for their hard work, though.

P.S. If you're a fujoshi, you'll love the last BL "outtake" chapters. Our ship has sailed... ;)
But if you hate BL, don't read them and complain. <<less
