In the first 10 chapters, all I knew was the FL and ML being in an arranged marriage for alliance purposes, that a long war just finished, that the ML needs to sort out issues in his hometown territory, and that the FL plans to embark on a journey to find traces of her theory about the main enemy's survival after the war. Towards chapter 29, an intriguing prophecy was seen by the FL, involving the ML and the main enemy. This foresight then sets the direction of the story, which was primarily the FL's quest to save the "world", or all living beings dependent on her.

In a smut scene, for example, she refused a penetration from behind as she thought she's not yet ready, to which the ML quickly respected.

Now back to her abilities, a toxic trait of someone as capable as her is that she tends to deal with the most difficult and dangerous tasks by herself. This is where her character growth comes in, and eventually addressed in the plot.

However, for his character growth, he needed to learn to open up with her more as her partner. His growth in this aspect was also central to the plot.

The enemy is an ancient being who sucks up the life force of others to gain strength, earning him an unfair advantage. That's why it takes more than just the empire's brilliant sorceress to take him down. Reading the final battle scenes with this being truly made me worry for the characters I cared about. That's how threatening the story's villain was.
