The way MC acts so accepting of his role as an adviser to the earl after one or two days of his arrival in the new world, just acting like he has been the earl's adviser for a few decades, trying to teach the earl's son and daughter lessons from his vast knowledge and wisdom of his original world, giving business advises one after another and making deals on behalf of earl, all before trying to figure out left from right in the new world makes him seem so full... more>> of himself. Honsetly its disgusting. I can't tolerate this MC. <<less

I'm actually quite surprised by the negative reactions towards this book.

I mean when I read light novels I'm not looking for some problem-free books, yea this novel has some issues but they're such small issues, that once you get past the beginning chapters and you start to get into the story more, they disappear because they don't influence the main story.

This novel actually fills a hole that I'd been wanting to be filled for a long time in 'other world' novels... and that's improving that world's ideas around economics or... more>> technology.

From what I have seen, on the author's notes, it's their first time writing a book, whether that's true or not doesn't matter, what does matter is that the author's main idea they are trying to create in the story isn't flunking, meaning going complete garbage.

I rate this a 4 as a light novel, nothing amazing or groundbreaking but above the average bunch mainly because of a different perspective on how to approach being an assistant in another world.

So I suggest everyone, give it a shot, it's at least better than over 50% of the light novels on this site, just don't hate on this so much because of a single issue or an issue that's not related to the book at all.

P.S. could be the reason why I'm so lenient towards this book is that I took a break from reading LN's for a while... and maybe because there are so many worse books that get praised while something like this that isn't half bad is getting terrible ratings. <<less

Poor writing and poor characterizations.

Th chapters are short, however by at least the end of the chapter two, you should get some feel for the character, however the only feel that I get is that somehow the middle-aged MC has some issues.

Spoiler

Like seriously. In chapter two, he sees an unconscious man. So first instinct, let's smoke. Like seriously... Then to keep him warm lets cover him in leaves (is a little kid, also is it cold) He seems to quickly ignore the fact that he is who know where. There's only a brief recounting of his previous memories, but then he seems to simply shrug it off and go on with life.

[collapse]

There is a lot of telling, and not much showing. But truthfully, there is not even enough telling going on. The writing is dry and does not draw you in.

I'm giving it two because I know there is worse out there. However, this is not something worth spending time on. <<less

The POV is changing from 1st person into 3rd person & even changing into other character POV without notice and ended up becoming a weird narration.

The more you read, the more Cheesy the story is, the kind of sugar that made you feel s*upid instead of diabetes.

MC is not a Diamond Dense protag, but still s*upid in his own way.

The Situation is just too good to be true, no one almost say no and just accepted what he say
