Saya is at her wits’ end, unable to return to her hometown, when she suddenly finds smoke rising from a remote location and rushes to the Elven Village, where she has been a part of before, to find that the Stampede, a group of demons attacking the Elven Village, has killed all the resident elves, and she is now the only one who can help her out. Saya searches for the surviving elves, desperately trying to endure the smell and sight of the sweltering blood. Then one of the female elves approached Saya and entrusted her with her own twin daughters.
Saya was saddened and despairing at her inability to save any of them in the end, but when she saw the twin elves entrusted to her, she

So she can't stand the sight of blood and that's why she is thrown out of the party. The 'leader' of the party also wanted to sleep with her. (I'll be referring to him as the hero from now on) She's 15 by the way and I don't think they specified his age but he is defiantly an adult.
She can't stand the sight of blood because she was abused by her father during her childhood. Her mother left her father for another man leaving her daughter behind. After they found out about her profession he sold her to the hero thinking he could make money off her and continue to gamble for the rest of his life.
After she leaves the party she comes across a town they passed through earlier because the hero wanted to sleep around. He told them they were safe and they lowered their guard. However, the hero was too lazy to clear the lower leveled labyrinth in the area and it allowed a stampede of 100-ish demons to go through the town and kill everyone but the little twins their mother dying after giving them into Saya's care.
She considers leaving the world because she is 'useless' and can't save anyone. But the twins distract her and she gains the determination to keep them safe and awakens her unique skill.
