Barely decent, and that's being generous. I actually like both the MC and FL, but the plot was just terrible. The emotions in this novel felt forced, character interactions artificial and repetitive, and some scenes were simply too over the top and dramatic. The pacing was also bad. I get that this is a shorter novel, but from the middle towards the end, things begin happening in succession that made little to no sense, just so the author could tie up loose ends.

A cute little rom-com in most respects, but many of the characters feel thin and a lot of the situations feel really implausible. There's nothing wrong with wish-fulfillment, but I'd have rated the story higher if it was a bit less obvious about being an unrealistic fantasy.

I mostly agree with stanljpierre except I don't think it deserves to be called even decent. It got every conceivable overused troupe even though it could do well without them. The "villains" of this story are so dumb, I felt more pity than anger reading the chapter they appeared in. They are so one dimensional it's like they came here straight from Power rangers.

Same goes for the rest of the side characters, they are one dimensional, annoying and when they appear in the story I just feel like skipping ahead.
