“I already have a child with another man.”

It was a lie made in order to refuse the proposal of the leader of the most feared mercenary company in the entire country. But his response was unexpected.

“It doesn’t matter who the child is. You can just give birth. In exchange, I’ll take you, Princess.”

She couldn’t understand.

What could this man possibly want with the princess of a failing nation?

First, I will say that the translation is really good. I'm not fluent in english, but I can read the novel really smoothly, like it's my own language;

• I found it very difficult to like the FL, I'm serious. I know that it's difficult to make the choices she has to make, but, like seriously, I don't agree with various of her decisions ... more>>
Spoiler

like when she decided to go to her ex-lover's house and they tried to make her marry her ex-lover

. There are moments where I find her likeable, but there are moments where I can't stand her.

• I don't know about the ML yet. There are comments saying that he forced FL to marry him, but in my opinion, it was her own decision. She had options and she chose to marry him.
Spoiler

Yes, he just invaded her kingdom because he wanted Nauk and the FL, but mostly because he wanted her.

Aside from all that, I'm enjoying the story. There are characters that I found very irritating but the story itself is good. And maybe I'll change my opinion about the characters later on... <<less

The fl, eventhough she is a princess, clearly she isn't intelligent or wise enough to rule the country. In many occasion she is rather slow to catch on things and it irks me as a reader. If only she is more capable, at least the position of the royal family could be better and she can see the ML intentions and feeling clearer.
On the contrary our ML here is highly sharp and quick on solving problems. It is a pity the princess as the FL here often rely on ML. I know maybe the author had his/her own reason to make the character like this, but how I wish the female lead could be a little bit smarter so that she could do things and stand by herself.
The story is actually very nice and the translations is super smooth. It is just the FL character that bother me.

This is very good story with interesting plots and characters, villainous and good. The story isn't one of those stories that focuses on mature scenes. I do like the extra side stories continues the story after the "happily ever after".

There are a couple of things I don't like. The first is the FL continuing getting kidnapped or hurt with the ML to the rescue every time. It gets tiring after a while. And the second, I feel that the ML and FL and relationship are a bit robotic. The author... more>> could have written more interesting dialogue around it or it also can be the translation? <<less

the TL quality is really great!!! There are also a few illustrations throughout the text.

some of the early dramas caused by minor miscommunications / misunderstandings get repetitive since they're thrown at you back-to-back, but they get resolved at a reasonable pace so the story doesn't feel like it's dragging on.

i enjoy all the little comedic situations that lighten the mood after a serious scene, but later on in the story when the relationship between FL and ML stabilizes into doting fluff, it starts to feel like I'm reading slice-of-life (which... more>> I don't have a preference for reading), so I find myself skipping ahead a lot. <<less
