One night, at exactly 23:11, a stranger sent Jhing Blanco a friend request on Facebook. From then on, every night at the exact same time, this stranger keeps trying to get her attention. No matter how much Jhing ignores him, no matter how many times she left him on seen, no matter how cold she is towards him…

The two strangers gradually became each other’s daily dose of 11:11.

This is an Epistolary novel—which means that a novel is written in form of letters, newspaper clippings, texts, or journal entries; and in this case, 23:11 uses a facebook messenger format…. not until the Second Book: 11/23.

I have never read a novel with this kind of text format. It's refreshing and unique. The chapters are short but it makes me look forward to the next one. The novel is about Rico who starts messaging Jhing in facebook. What I understand is that Jhing doesn't know who he is, but it seems like Rico knows her because she's a famous writer.

It's funny, it's sweet, a little bit... creepy. But like one of the comments said on the site, a stranger who keeps chatting you is still better... more>> compare to some guy who suddenly just send d*** picks without you asking for it. It's really perfect for light-reading. It makes me curious what will happen to the couple in the future because it stated that it has a second book where it's not written in text format... huh..... Anyway. Thanks for the translator for picking this novel. GJ-bu. <<less

4.5 Stars. Meant to round up, but I misl**ked and can't change my rating now. Thanks, NovelUpdates! <3

This novel makes about as much sense as the current synopsis. In other words, none at all (Just kidding. Not kidding, the synopsis was pretty tr*sh). But I freaking love it. It's so refreshingly short and sweet that I can completely overlook the "texting" format, which usually would have bothered me. It's the perfect read for your free time, and it can be pretty addicting. ("Binged" all the way here. Which, considering... more>> the number and length of each chapter, took only about 2 minutes... hehehe. Nevermind.)

-0.5 for lack of substantial plot... so far! Rating will probably change as the story continues. OH WAIT. IT CAN'T! Thanks, NovelUpdates! <3 (Screw the system.)

(Cute that one of the author's names is part of the story. Didn't notice until now.) <<less

OMG!!! I didn't know that they have picked up this novel. I absolutely love all of the novem that Ate Rayne have wrote after all this time but this one will always have a special place in my heart. Believe me for all the novels that I have read, this one will makes you look forward for every chapter. I also assure you that you wull never get bored and tired while reading this. It has this refreshing facebook chat format which make it so unique to other novels here... more>> in NU (so far). If you have time and you want to read something fluffy, funny and sweet. I reccommend you to read this. I'm sure that many of us can relate in this story (especially millenials). <<less

This novel is amazing, to say the least. The interactions between the two characters are so lifelike it feels as if I am witnessing it live. They are also so funny, sweet, and endearing. I want to root for both Jhing and Miko because they are just too cute together. The turmoils and misunderstanding they face are also very real, for example, if someone told you about something over a message it is so easy to just misunderstand because of the different nuances which I feel the author was able... more>> to grasp so well. It gives the novel a very mushy feel which makes you want to wish them your very best and shout at them to get together already, which, spoiler, looks very promising in their next novel/sequel "11/23". Ah! So Excited! <<less

Honestly? The whole concept is quite creepy if you think about it, but I agree with what SilverMist said about the whole thing.

The story is quite sweet, maybe a bit difficult to read if you're not used to it, but when/if you do, it's lighthearted and the story flows, which seems impossible seeing as it's a chat.

You can slowly see Jhing warming up to 'Rico' and how what both of them say affects the other person.

In my opinion so far, the story is lovely and nice to read if you're... more>> not looking forward to reading a lot of words. It could probably do with a bit more world building/fleshing out, but seeing as this is a chat style type of story, then it's not at all a turn off.

Currently rating 5/5 stars, may change depending on what happens in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to translating this! <<less

I'm glad that the Synopsis forewarned that this novel is an Epistolary-type so one has to take note of the date/days and time.

Frankly, this format can easily turn antique after a while but we're in the generation where we can still appreciate its freshness. This format also serves as a good prequel to 11/23, it is a very good appetizer. The story is quite easy to follow, thank you translators for clarifying so many jejemon and codes. I find the story sweet, even though it needed a lot of imagination... more>> what is happening on the other side of each screens. Although the ML is adorable and the FL is angtsy, there is still some chemistry that happened on both sides. It's nice to follow, just like hearing my grandparents tell me their love story or how they first met. Even if it's as boring as living in the same neighborhood, there are a few things that happened along the way and it's nice to follow the whole narration.

I recommend this story, most of all for those who want to understand how Filipinos just evolve their language with all those expressions. Very cute! <<less

Its a great read, very refreshing. Though I will give it a four cuz I kinda feel creeped out by the fact that the ML always flirts and stalks the MC, I kinda got scared lol.

And besides its not normal for some guy to just randomly pop up and will text u nonstop you know and I think this reason is one of its flaws

But anyways ill rate it four, I was actually gonna give this a 3 but the translation is good

This is the first time I read something different like this novel. And I actually don't spend too much time reading this story because its chapters are quite short and only consist of dialogue between MC and ML (literally 1 day 1 chapter).

But I don't know, I feel a bit complicated about ML.

Spoiler

I think he's a bit creepy. He chatted and flirted with her non stop at the same time everyday. And later, I learn that he actually still had an on and off relationship with her then girlfriend when he started flirting with MC. I really wanna smack him because of this.

He really deserves to be dumped by her ex and also to be blocked by MC (unfortunately, MC didn't do it). Not only sending her messages non stop, sometimes he also stalks her in real life. I don't think that could be called romantic. Rather, it's a bit cringey.

The ending is a little hanging but actually, there's a sequel for this story where MC and ML finally meet and interact in the real life. <<less

The story format is quite unique for me, it is a Epistolary novel, where the story progress with just from there conversation, there's not plot but I love the development of the story and how this show the characters progress by just there conversation

Honestly speaking, the entire premise of the story that a random stranger would not stop texting someone is quite creepy. However even the most creepiest thing becomes sweet if the 2 ppl involved are in love as seen in this story. The chapters are short, and is quite easy to get into it. Each chapter is basically the chat log off 2 strangers coming closer together with each conversation. It is nice to watch them getting closer together and the unorthodox way of presenting this story makes it even more... more>> enjoyable. <<less

It felt very weird reading a story that is only in the form of texts, as it definitely makes you feel like you are the MC now more. However, throughout the whole story of up to where I got to, all I was constantly thinking was how much of a creep the other person was, and why the hell the MC has not blocked him yet. I ended up getting bored and annoying, but it was definitely an interesting read due to the texting format.

A warm bubbly chat.

The characters are very well fleshed out despite the limitations of the format.

This is a romance novel and was a first for me, but it was a well worth read.

I am definitely recommending you read this if you haven't.
