A very common saying: If you don’t cherish something when losing it, you’ll feel regret, and would then try to gain it back.

A young assistant falls helplessly in love with a shining star. One day, when the star came back with a movie script that has homosexual theme, he asked the young assistant to help him ‘experience’ the so-call love between two men. Throughout experiencing, the star hasn’t recognized that he has already fallen for the young assistant. When the young assistant has already left, the star then finally realized his feelings.

A short, straight-forward, heart-warming romance between an actor and his assistant, without melodrama or any side characters. A particular narrative style that made me feel like it was the 2MCs reminiscing about how they met and fell in love.

Why is the star rating so low?? Each chapter may be short but is very fulfilling! The story is very sweet, it's not really a descriptive story but focuses more on the feelings of the character. There's a short general introduction and the rest is like a diary of the different povs of the male main characters. Don't look down on this book just because of the bad star rating, give it a try!

This writing style reminds me of "I don't like the world I only like you", which is... more>> one of my favorite romance novels here. I love how there no schemes or tug of wars and it's just falling in love, learning how to accept it and not fight your feelings.

There is more to look forward to in the future. There are only 15 chapters out for now, I'm excited to read more!💛💛💛💛 <<less

Sweet short stories about a couple; a star and his assistant. I also don't know why people rate this so low. Probably because it's too short.. And maybe because the POV? Personally, I love third person pov the most but I don't mind other pov in this one.

I love all the components but sadly the break up (?) is too short. You need to build the suspense! The heartbreak of losing someone that really loves you, the realization that you love them back, the horror to see everything about them... more>> is gone, the hard work you put to search for them, the time you spend failing to find them, and then the joy to finally do so. I LOVE THAT. This short stories just need a longer chase lol.

Beside that, the honeymoon phase is cute. It's definitely a good read <<less

This really deserves a higher rating. It's not the most thought provoking or epic story, but it accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do: Deliver a story so sweet reading it gives you cavities!

There is just enough angst at the start to contrast against the absolute fluff later on. If you need a pick-me-up or a break from melodramatic romance, or even just enjoy sweeter stories, this story is perfect for you.

I like BL. I'm okay with mushiness, but I don't like this stories pacing.

The multiple POV switches with these short chapters resulted in a lot of jumps, which at times left me confused about where I was at time wise in the story. I felt like I was watching a modern action sequence where they do 50 jump cuts. By the time I finished this (rather quickly) I was like "that's it?".. Plot is nothing special.

I feel like this was more of a generic outline of a story than a... more>> story itself.

I guess I recommend it to people who just need some emotional bleach? Like if you're coming off a heavy story, you can completely read this one in about 30-45 mins and it'll put you in a better mood.

If you don't need emotional bleach, then save it for when you do maybe? Or ignore this one.

Showbiz and celebrities tags seem off. He's just an actor. If he was a politician, or any other public figure, the story would be the same. Don't read it for the showbiz. This story is just a showbiz background at best. <<less

I really enjoyed this piece. It's short and sweet chapter encapsulates and conveys a single feeling. The emotions are strong but not aggressive or violent; they are quiet but not idle, not still or stagnant. The doubt and drama is there, but not dragged out endlessly. Rather, it is there to provide a cohesive narrative, serving to move the story forward.

This is so sweet! The way the novel is written is like a journal entry or diary of snip bits of the MC's and ML's time together. The story is actually very heartwarming despite the solemn tone of some parts of the novel. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this and will definitely recommend it!

To be concise: this is a truly romantic novel.

There isn't much in the way of a storyline or plot; instead, what makes it such a powerful story is the deeply introspective and confessional first person narration from both characters. Just think of it as little hand written letter vignettes about their every day life and moments of devotion to each other.

For a Chinese translated novel, this style of narration and execution is very unique and fresh and it's lovely that the translator recreated the depth of feeling so wholesomely. Seriously,... more>> kudos all round. <<less

Very sweet and good modern slice-of-life about the love between an actor and his assistant. The story is written in first person, a little like letters or diary entries, however, the pacing is very good and you're thrown quickly into the action, so the story moves very quickly with no unnecessary exposition or 'over-explaining.' Despite the shortness, it doesn't fail to convey a whole range of deep emotions and struggles in their romance/coming-out type story.

I'm not a fan of first person narration.

But this brought new perspective to me because it bring out more personal thoughts and opinion from the characters, to the story. You wouldn't be able to get the same emotional connection as you would with third person narration. It's safe to say this novel change my ideas about first person narration.

The character themselves are very simple and silly. There isn't much drama as far as the stepmother goes, slice of life is everywhere but it is meaningful because both character both enjoys... more>> and was content with their lives, having each others. Hell, I think all they sees is each other. I really appreciate their appreciation toward life's little joy that most romance novel lacks. Albeit most of the novel I read are drama or action ones. Nevertheless it is a good read and should be appreciated. <<less

A cute, quick read. Sweet.

There isn't a lot of deep thought provoking content, but the sweet little details of a pretty normal love are lovely. There isn't much drama: it's pretty much fluff.

The emotions it induces are heartwarming. Heck, the MCs don't even have name's listed, but the story is still worth reading. That's pretty unusual. The story has short sections, but that's just the style: short and sweet.

Basically, it's a cute and fluffy story that has emotions.
