In my opinion, ML played the biggest part in those whole of misunderstandings between him and FL. He expected FL to realize by herself how he felt all those years towards her but how could she dare considering how he treated her in the beginning of their marriage.

He casually proposed to her by throwing her the ring and nonchalantly told her not to care about his matter although they're married. Of course FL would misunderstand. She actually knew ML treated her well during their marriage despite of his foul mouth but because of his warning, she didn't dare to think much about it.

FL wasn't that perfect either. She was too stubborn to voice out her dissatisfaction to ML and chose to act nonchalant in front of him. It's actually quite surprising that she was able to supress it for 3 years considering her temper.

see, there is a difference between bickering and downright fighting. These two were always fighting. This kind of fight isn't normal for anyone one who's in love. It was really hard to see any kind of romantic chemistry between the ML and FL. It was a toxic relationship. The FL has a nasty way of dealing with problems-always kind of making the issue big. I don't how to phrase it but it felt like she's just very competitive with everything little thing. Although I do vibe with her "not taking life seriously" attitude ; I just wish she just relaxed with her competitiveness abit. The ML—I don't want a friend like that. He belittled FL way too much. I hated the whole Ex-gf angel. He would spread rumors about her so other boys won't confess to her but he would go around with the campus beauty. He tried to make her feel insecure when she wanted to live her life her way. And then when she called him out, he tried to gaslight her by saying that's not what he meant. He says she only love herself and I loved her reply "should I f*** waiting for you to love me?!?!"—yes you go girl! He has a problem of her self-confidence. He wanted to fit her into a mold that he likes. Both are fault at being awful at communicating but He's sole reason why she's always picking fights with him. Hes an ahole. I was relieved when they divorced because watching them together—an effing train wreck. Some people should just remain friends. I know this has a happy ending but my girl deserved better than the gaslighting motherf****

the main leads here are a bickering couple with some trust issues and misunderstandings

I can't praise the author enough with how well the main characters were written– UNREALIBLE NARRATOR done incredibly well, esp coupled thanks to the awesome translation. The FL is a spunky tomboy who hides a strong insecurity behind her sharp words when bickering with the ML, and the ML too is a piece of work that has too much love while trying to hide his heart from the FL. I won't lie: these two BOTH absolutely contribute to the toxicity in their relationship. No-one's innocent, and it doesn't even matter who started it. However, it's beautiful to see how these two dance around each other while trying to keep their hearts from their sleeves and downplaying exactly how much they really love eachother. The other side characters that barely had much appearances in the story too felt larger than life, not as if they're just there for the plot.

After a shouting match following their official divorce and with the tention of a tightrope, they are both finally able to speak to each other, and the FL even learns a different, healthier method in interacting with her husband.
