Actually planned to give this a 3 but I misclicked. It's really interesting if you look at how the kingdom-building progresses. But the other aspects...

The MC is, like the other reviews say, too omnipotent. The way he was built also makes him kind of uninteresting as a character. Most of the characters also have some weird vibe about them. Well, on the other hand, there are interesting characters and interactions as well.

The one thing that really irked me was the pretentious foreshadowing of the author, which can be quite exciting... more>> if used correctly. But the style was overused too much which made the writing style too chuunibyou-ish. Also, the author intentionally goes around storytelling about various characters. This in itself can work well since it gives the readers insight on the motivations of the characters, but this is also done too much. For example, the author gives a quite lengthy background story on a random farmer and why he is mad that his daughter and wife are gonna be sold as slaves. I mean, really?

Anyway, the story is really interesting, give it a go if you like kingdom building novels. <<less

A Monster Who Levels Up

The story was above average on the first half. It then declined bit by bit, though still acceptable. Was supposed to be a 4 but my oh my, the last parts and the ending was especially disappointing. If you somehow get bored before finishing the novel, don't worry and just stop. You won't be missing much.

The premise was interesting. It somehow turned average midway. But as the title states, it's a rom-com, so there are probably many other series that would be more enjoyable and better written in the same genre. If you're looking for a breath of fresh air, it's likely a good idea to try this though.

This series could have been better if only there was better variety of male characters. Heck, even the generic MC's best friend would probably work and give the series more depth.

The end part was especially meh and... more>> felt quite rushed, and the author was throwing bombs here and there. But well, I read somewhere that the series didn't do very well in Japan so there's that.

Overall, a nice, average read. <<less

I Work As A Healer In Another World’s Labyrinth City (WN)

This series is not the best out there, probably around 3 at best, but I'm giving it a 4 to counteract the unwarranted 1 star reviews. I mean, come on, comparing this to LOTR or HP? Seriously?

I mean, yeah the MC is kinda dumb and doesn't think using his upper head, but the story's pace is quite good. There's not much grand schemes happening throughout the series unlike other isekai novels, but the magnitude of the events in the story is quite fitting for the characters.

To be fair, the heroines... more>> in the story have reasons/triggers why they became heroines.

Spoiler

If you're looking for R-18, or at least some kind of kinky stuff, you probably shouldn't get your hopes up in this. The only stuff that happened are kisses and some fan service rubbing.

If you're looking for a novel that explores magic and combat, this isn't for you. If you're looking for that overly "realistic" MC that you can relate to, as some of the reviewers said, maybe you shouldn't even be reading on this genre, except for the extremely popular ones.

Overall, quite an average lighthearted isekai story but the ending was quite nice. Give it a try if you're bored, don't let the low rated reviews stop you. <<less

Kujibiki Tokushou: Musou Hāremu ken

Your typical isekai novel, with OP hero, much like how satou from death march is, except this time, the MC isn't afraid of anything and he likes women. The concept of lottery is very interesting, but you really won't feel that it's lottery.

Spoiler

Since he always gets the first prize or that prize that he needs because of his x777 luck and lending them to his demon sword which evidently has more base luck than him

[collapse]

Most of his harem members are very bland and have little to no history on them. Most.

Spoiler

Especially that princess of idk comotoria (?) kingdom named Aura. Like, why is she even there? She has nothing to her except being part of the royal family. Even the MC's platoon captains have more personality to her.

I don't usually make reviews but I have to correct a review written by someone saying stuff about the merchant girl Delfina.

Spoiler

Yes, Delfina wants the MC to buy her but the MC still proceeds to embrace her without buying her anyway. This doesn't mean that the MC forgot to buy her. He just thinks that since he'll eventually buy her someday, it won't be a loss if she gets richer first. Also, if you read further, Delfina gets a character flashback arc which explains why she is so obsessed on the concept of getting bought by money.

[collapse]

The story sometimes feels inconsistent, you'll end up thinking that the author forgot some of what he said, but otherwise, this novel is worth a read if you're bored. Just remember to not expect any real challenge to the MC so you won't get disappointed by the lack of conflict.

Spoiler

And yes Mr. Author, we understand that no one can see through Eleanor's aura unless they are stronger than Eleanor. Stop repeating it 3 times in a chapter please. Also, we understand that Kakeru likes good women. Him repeatedly saying it just makes it seem that he's a man of words only.

Dragon’s Bloodline

It was fine, but well, there are better series out there. The story progresses quite fast but sometimes lacks detail. Other characters just become names and become quickly forgotten. The progression of the story is so linear that having that OP of an MC makes if feel so darn boring. Maybe this is only the case if you've read many other novels of the same genre. So if you're new the genre you might as well try this out. The development of Ria's wives were nice though so yeah, this... more>> is quite decent. Not planning to finish it though I feel like it's a waste of time at this point <<less
