I’m OP, but I Began an Inn

f**king terrible. Huge time skips. In order to set up the inn, which is literally in the f**king name of the story, you need to take a test to be a powerful adventurer, first of all, why? Not explained. Secondly, show us your adventures and test not a huge time skip. Thirdly, the common sense, even if there is magic, is so f**king illogical it gives autism. Fourthly, the translation quality is so f**king terrible during the start that it felt like it was translated on Google translate. It wasn't... more>> even edited to make it smooth. I understand if the TL isn't good with English, but he could get a f**king editor. I could do better with some Japanese Machine translators out there and 20 or 30 minutes of editing. Seriously. If you wanna read this... Just don't, it's not worth your time, nor is it mine. I bet that you, the one reading this, could write a f**king essay about ants and make it better than this junk. <<less

Great novel.

Although this has nothing to do with the novel itself. I went stupid and though MEMORIZE might be a different meaning since the letters are seperate.

'Mem' in Latin means 'mind; memory' while 'Ize' means 'make; become'

Although it's just me being special and definitely doesn't actually have any meaning I found it funny the word 'memorize' has the same meaning as the two words 'mem' and 'ize' forming 'make memories'

Emperor of Solo Play

I'm just saying, all these people saying that the chapters could be condensed down into 3 or 4 chapters from around 10 or so. But as far as im aware, the amount of chapters are not enough, not even close, he should've wrote a hundred more and then finished. Also, if not for the high amount of chapters the detail wouldn't be on par as it is now, with fights dragged out through the chapters, the detail and the way he describes the fights gets me on my seat, waiting.... more>> Although I already know the result as he is the main protagonist, so it's kinda obvious he'll always win. But I keep on reading, not because I want to find out what happens next out of sheer curiosity or whatnot, but by the time I realized then I've already read past tens of chapters. If anything the large amount of chapters are a good thing. I won't comment on the details in the story as there are enough reviews.

Conclusion: good read, you start reading a d it's like a normal, high-end, VRMMO novel. Except when it gets into fights instead of just reading till the end of the fight, you just kinda end up reading tens of chapters just like that. MC is somewhat cunning/smart, although only because he knows the future. No harem. No romance bullsh*t. Ending was a bit rushed, or the author just can't write endings, either way I enjoyed it all the same. <<less

It is as everybody says, there are superior novels such as Reincarnator that are so much better this and are worth more to read, the writing style is super wonky, feels unnatural and feels like it's written by a year 7 lol. However, it's exactly this wonky style and plot holes that keep me excited and pull me to read more. To be honest, if you binge read all in a row, or if you read just 3 or 4 chapters per couple days (as I was, waiting for the... more>> chapters to be released) then you wont realise the writing style. The story itself is mediocre, but it's fun. The fights are well described and exiting even though they so 'bad'.

In summary, this can only be read if you have the patience and can read novels with grammatical errors (even though there are pretty much non in the first place)

A good review to read is by nubdog:

"first of all you have the usual (clear the stages>get strong>protect the world from monsters) setting there isn't much complexity or crazy good ideas or anything, but its just a relaxing journey of getting strong while becoming badass There are some events meant to stir you up but tbh the protagonist just doesn't give a sh*t and does what he feels like doing anyway and that is one of the charms of the novel. There is nobody to force him into an undesirable social situation, like self entitled faggot A, parroting henchman B, feminist C or burden useless shivering in her boots girl D. It gives a nice picture of the advantages you can get by being solo, especially when others are busy backstabbing and being a burden to each other instead of a synergy effect. And at that point you understand sometimes its just better to do things alone than to get involved in needless drama. Adding on some dressing and decorations you have the protagonist soloing stages like a badass while you have the lovely music of no incompetent f**ks screaming nonsense in your ears like they were supposed to be xianxia baddies"

Read his whole review to get the full thing. <<less

It's great. The concept of forgiving those you love, despite a tragedy possibly caused by them. The ones close to you. This is been done tens of times by other novels yet this one, despite being a one shot, is one of the rare ones that encapsulates those feelings well from showing growth, to mental decline being shown in a physical way. Showing the cruel sides of humanity.

However! This is in no way a perfect novel. In no way does make you cry. It May make you said, depending on... more>> your mentality. Me, personally, wasn't affected much by the story, although I thought it had potential and was good, it did not make me sad, but made me feel empathy. <<less

The main female is overpowered. And some parts egg me on.

For example when
Spoiler

when he was talking to the detective, he should've given him his theory, the MC got taken and lead by the nose since he asked her if she was looking for anything. Eventually, slowly but surely, like a neurotoxin, succumbing. That got on my nerves a little bit despite him being quite smart, if not smarter than the detective and the female lead (if, of course, she wasn't perfect in quite literally, everything).
