This is quite a cookie cutter series, so if you enjoy this kind of content, go ahead, the translation is quite decent and it releases fast.

But as other reviews point out, it is quite bland. The plot gets old very fast, every single "life and death duel" with the MC ends with the other party objecting to the kill, every tournament (and there are a lot of tournaments appearing out of nowhere) rule is bent so that the MC loses because tons of people hate the MC for no reason,... more>> and of course he wins every time. I mean that seriously.

Spoiler

At the final stage of a martial competition, they add a rule "you can use weapons but only the ones we provide, there is only one, it is a very high level weapon that will belong to the first one to grab it, and MC cannot use his most useful power to grab it". And of course through an obvious underhanded trick force they force him to agree to a life and death duel, then when he wins and goes for the kill, they refuse.

[collapse]

At any given time (except in the last few chapters for me) there is an antagonist that hates the MC because antagonists are evil. More than 300 chapters in and the MC hasn't even used half of his already available plot armors, because they keep on coming anyway. <<less

Princess Medical Doctor

This novel could have been almost good, but it's not. It has almost all cookie cutter elements of female reincarnation novels (except that the MC is mostly useless in combat) ; the romance is terrible if we can even call it romance, because the two main characters are dumb as bricks and cannot communicate at all, the female lead being only a little bit better than the male lead (OP gorgeous man with peerless identity who can’t do anything right or understand the most basic things for relationships). At roughly... more>> chapter 350, they are doing very small gestures of goodwill to each other and that's the whole progress of the romance so far. Antagonists are as always even dumber than the main characters.

Spoiler

MC has a defective "medical system" to help her heal people which is mostly a way for the novel to make her suffer and trigger new plotlines randomly. It's a terrible way to make the plot progress.

Seriously, don't read it, it's so frustrating, both the romance or the politics. <<less

Tales of the Reincarnated Lord

This novel is actually good, it is mostly well-written and the english translation is close to perfect.

If you enjoy detailed descriptions and actual plots in a medieval setting with a tinge of fantasy, it may be for you. If you come expecting an overpowered protagonist (you have one, though) plowing through every obstacle with his own strength and slapping dumb young masters, you will be disappointed.

There are shortcomings, though, and the most glaring is women. Women is this novel, are mostly s*x toys who yield to the MC's (repeatedly mentioned)... more>> amazing talent in bed and kept silent for dozens of chapters after the MC's s*xual release most of the time, as the author clearly does not know how to write in some romance or even half-deep female characters.

The other one is the addiction to numbers, as not a chapter goes by without a mention of detailed number of troops, detailed amount of money left or to spend (there's even a character whose only role is to remind them to spend less money by each time enouncing the amounts).

It is also a bit slow to start, as the first 40 or so chapters are quite useless to the plot with tangled unclear flashbacks that serve no purpose. <<less

The novel is exactly as the title says, an overpowered arrogant protagonist in a modern setting full of rich arrogant young masters flaunting their wealth. Move along.

Trial Marriage Husband: Need to Work Hard

Overall, don't read it except if you have nothing.

Characters are not awfully done, but the plot is on a loop for hundreds of chapters (random person hates MC for no reason, creates trouble, endangers MC or someone close by, media prints demeaning titles, people on the internet write mean comments, due to a random twist MC or someone good gets ahold of evidence, press conference happens, people are stunned and in awe of the MC, bad guy/girl goes to prison or is disgraced, repeat with a twist or not). Endless... more>> brainless fan reactions to everything that happens is very annoying, just as the constant reminder of the characters IQ or EQ (seriously, wtf).

It's too bad because the setting (top model) is quite interesting, and the romance, while not very well done (way too sweet, I'm getting cavities just by reading), is somehow satisfying. The overall plot progression is also not cookie cutter material, even if it feels forced at times.

I won't even mention s*xism or homophobia or blatant nationalism because I assume people know what they are getting into when reading a CN novel. <<less
