Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo Dorei Majutsu

Its a good series, MC with 0 social skills gets transferred to another world accidentally gets 2 slaves and proceeds to pretend to act like a Demon King because he's scared of communicating with girls.

The plot's a bit cliche but it is well done, the two issue I have is the series's power scaling is a bit odd, we're told that the game and the transferred world has some differences due to dying in the game and in real world being different, which leads to an explanation about why the... more>> MC is so much vastly more powerful since other people in that world aren't effectively risking their lives to power level, and yet there's certain enemies including humans that somehow are close to the MC in strength.

On top of that the author has a tendency to leave the fate of some side characters unknown, and on a whim change the characteristic of certain enemies, for example knight said to be very honorable and the only one they can go for help, then a chapter after meeting him turns out he's a typical greedy villain who lives for profit for no other reason then he can and who isn't even allied with the people they were running away from anyways. <<less

The series starts out pretty well, with a MC who accidentally stumbles onto a broken build and becomes overpowered due to either being invulnerble or finding gear that stores and reflects damage.

Problem is the author tries to force the shield theme by introducing a 2nd MC saying she's a dodge shield which in the series is essentially someone who puts majority of her points into agility to dodge attacks. It completely ruins the whole premise of the story of being an OP MC with a heavy defense theme, on top... more>> of that the author goes out of his way to cripple the first MC by having the administrators of the game nerf her abilities. <<less

Revolution of the 8th Class Mage

so far a great "reincarnation" story where the MC is sent back in time after being betrayed by his long time friend.

The story telling's quite good and the MC acts like a real person, he'll get his revenge on people who threaten his mom, has pride as a mage but simultaneously knows when to use force or when he needs to talk things out.

The main characters are pretty well fleshed out and the contrast between the first timeline and the 2nd and the MC's actions that change it either knowingly... more>> or not is actually really well done but also doesn't establish an easy way out for the MC regarding the main plot.

Spoiler

he was betrayed by the 5th prince so simple solution is to just not side with him right?, except the crown prince whose the other candidate for the throne is utterly incompetent at the role.

[collapse]

The MC is also OP but not in a way like other series, he doesn't for example have secret powers nor are his spells overwhelmingly more powerful, the only advantage he really has is his past life knowledge which allows him to find more efficient training methods/items to power up. <<less

Its a cute series about a vampire girl trying to find someone she can leech off as a life partner but also tends to lean into some darker tragic aspects regarding some of the characters' back stories.

if I had any complaints it'd be that most of the characters introduced tend to be left behind while the MC travels as a loner and are only heard of at least for now from side stories, though that seems to of changed with the more recent chapters.

One suggestion is to wait for edited... more>> versions of the TL since the Translator releases them at a ridiculously fast rate but as a result the grammar's a bit jumbled and hard to follow. <<less

Its a pretty good series but its alot different then other vrmmo series, the MC is never anywhere near being "OP" and the series reads alot more along the lines of a slice of life with game events popping up and the MC doing whatever he wants.

If you're looking for a typical op/cheat pubstomp series, you won't find it here, instead its alot more casual fun/goofy with the main character simply playing a game however he likes it. There's no real goals or any drama, which in my opinion one... more>> of the biggest charm of the series since it resembles how a beginner in an mmo would act like.

The reviews calling the MC spineless are frankly kind of ridiculous cause he's acting like how a normal human being would act, he doesn't let strangers take advantage of him, going so far as to ban them from his shop after being repeatedly solicited, and while he does run away to hide, on an adventure it's mainly cause he doesn't want to deal with the hassle. Not sure how that makes him "spineless" unless you expected him to just flatout PK everyone who entered his store and asked him to join their guild. <<less

The Girl Who Ate a Death God

a really good war story with a blood thirsty commander whose always hungry.

The writing is good and without spoiling too much the author has a huge plot twist in an early chapter by referencing the events in the past tense as if they'd already with the winners predetermined but has a huge twist in the finale to completely overturn it.

a funny gender bent comedy with an impulsive and joker-like MC, there's definitely a plot going on but the main character is so impulsive that it tends to go out of whack. The characters have personalities and their relationship with the MC is pretty entertaining.

The only real complaints I have with it, is it seems like the author has a tendency to introduce one idea then a few chapters down the line then scrap it, the way the main character acts towards some characters is also a bit inconsistent between... more>> arcs and the author is pretty poor at explaining motivations especially in a certain arc that ends up effectively setting the world at war with the MC despite there being no reason for the "villain" to not just explain and cooperate which they do later, instead of flatout blackmail. <<less

Its good but not great, the romance is definitely there but the development is slow. The series spends alot more time on Slice of life segments then really having any actual plot which is perfectly fine but don't expect any real goals.

The series itself has funny characters and interactions, and definitely leans more towards a light slice of life comedy then anything dramatic. The author does try to develop side characters, with alot of chapters focused around them. If you're after any focused plot or goals you won't find it... more>> here it's just a romcom with a relate-able and somewhat overly conscious MC lead who falls in love with a priestess.

The relationship is pretty clearly mutual but since the story's told from the male lead's POV one side of the relationship is shown much more intensely. <<less

its a decent revenge story, to some of the reviews saying the MC is soft or doesn't kill that's blatantly wrong, he doesn't show mercy to people who betray him or their henchman/soldiers and is pretty brutal at it, the only target he hasn't killed that he's met has a plot device that would result in a mutual suicide.

The main gripe I have with the story is that the author has a really over the top way of portraying the Mc's former comrades, the author seems to be trying to... more>> make it sort of a story where the MC tries to learn to trust again but simultaneously portraying every ally the MC had in his past life being nice on the surface but secretly being a backstabbing scum. <<less
