Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

At first, it was pretty good. But everything changed when the author decided that it was a good idea to spoil the future of the MC through the side characters. That left me with less of an incentive to care for the concurrent chapters. The existence of the MC has no logic behind it:

So the MC turned out to be a real spider before reincarnating into another spider and not the girl that she thought she was, so I guess the credibility of Scandalf's thought on the Author having a spider fetish is not that high. Anyway, she is reincarnated by the real girl who she thought was herself, but the spider just had her memories.
That original girl however, is supposed to be this guardian of Hell or something and created the spider to sub for her in Hell. The girl is like, powerful as hell since she can reincarnate people so we know that even if the spider or other class-mates die, Hell-girl will just resurrect em.

So whats the point of the whole story if the end is given to us? You expect me to read 200 more chapters? Na boii

The MC is confused, in denial, and a self-proclaimed pessimist. He has no sympathy. Really a bad example for even criminals. Looks at the world as if he knows everything in terms of the way of life.

Personality wise, he's like a lot of people that recently popped up in the 21st century: Doesn't give a damn about anyone else, hates reality, thinks that what he does is naturally right etc. I honestly don't know why this has so many 5 star ratings.

The MC is stupid. Like someone else said in their review, the MC has a Japanese child like personality.

Spoiler

1) Some 'fate' schools elder gets some hints about the MC power, You would expect that this being Xianxia, the elder will try to probe in more about the power, but he doesn't do s*** and even helps out the MC.
2) The MC takes in a subordinate from a village attacked by bandits and seems to trust his a lot for no good reason.
3) There are tons more things that I find wrong with this. The MC is hot headed and push over. He doesn't appreciate the help of that elder who gave him cultivation sizz and plans to join some other sect. So ungrateful.

Very Pure and Ambiguous: The Prequel

Really terrible. I had high hopes in the first tens of chapters, but the first volume became a repetition of the MC getting new girl every 30~ chapter with basically the same procedure. In the second volume so far, 2 of his girls are being hit-on by arrogant kids but the MC still refuses to show his power/status. This is not a story, its a dude's naive wishful thinking giving birth to a horrendous 'novel'.

Spoiler

The 1st wife was fine with the MC having multiple wives but freaks out when he get another one for no reason, then she run away to get hit by a car of a rich kid and thus creating another plot branch that shouldn't exist. There's so much BS, if you have the time just read it for the cringe (if you can understand the translation that is :/)

Main Character Hides His Strength
January 24, 2017
Status: c24
This is honestly one of the best ones yet. It has the twist to the "summoned-to-another-word" and u gatta fight to survive and stuff. But its no time-travel or some BS and the MC is still OP af. He also hides his strength because he has a real reason, unlike some stupid made up stuff. And it just got more interesting at ch. 24. Gatta read it man.

Spoiler

why the hell does it only have 4.4 rating? I needs 4.7 atleast ffs

The first 30 chapters were 5/5

Then I went the same old Japanese novel route. The MC remains dense as hell. He gets his own harem. No character development/ character reasoning. A shame really.... more>>
Spoiler

What really got me mad was when the author started the section of the dark Elf out of nowhere. The elf girl starts hating the MC to the point of insanity. Just some plot device the author inserts in out of nowhere. Moreover that same girl is depicted as calm and collected but breaks down after one argument with another harem member

At first I didn't even notice that it was a Japanese novel, that's how good it was. But you know right away when it's going down hill when the cliches starts popping up all over.

Another criticism: in one chapter, the author summarizes the chapters that come AFTER that summery chapter. Have seen this technique in a novel or two before. Never been a fan of it, and it aided in my loss of interest in this novel. <<less

Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World

This is probably the only Chinese novel that has a main focus on something other than all action. I honestly was reluctant to even click on this page to see the synopsis because the tittle seemed too Japanese to me. (Hate them corny *** novels) the pace of the story is kinda slow, but seeing that it has over 5k chapters, I’m not that worried about it.
