A very untypical transported to other world adventure novel. The author really doesn't sugar coat the story like many other where the MC become handsome or instantly a lady-killer in the new world/life. There will be poop throwing as a fighting method, the MC stays ugly and old as he was, he starts pennyless and level 1 although with insane MP and INT.

The guy is basically a nice and moral guy, at least he's not an asshole alpha male like some other novels. He's pretty understanding, patient, and mature. Unlike... more>> most other older MC in many novels that somehow getting a teenager personality and liking young girl after being transported or reincarnated.

I'd recommend reading at least until ch6 to see the potential of this novel (MC will start getting recognition of his OPness by then). Don't be discouraged by the early nasty poop fighting, if it looks stupid but it works, it ain't stupid. <<less

Please don't compare this with deathmarch...

The MC is very bland with no distinct personality (determined by his choice of action).

The way the story progressed early as I read so far is all more like a battle log against normal monster.

... more>> Might become a bit better later but the progress is very slow, 20 chapter in and barely any good or noticeable content. I'll drop this.

3 star instead of 2 star because MC doesn't completely hide his ability from public like in The New Gate. While also the way he hides his ability is not as fun to read as in death march. <<less

Very generic isekai. Completely boring for experienced isekai readers.
There is nothing special in the plot, characters, and world building.

Method of writing, flow of conversation, character interaction, everything is so generic and feels like being written by a teenager who reads generic isekai novel and tries to write one themselves but they lack the talent to prepare a unique story.

The MC conveniently accept the reality that he's in another world almost immediately as if he's born to do so. Then right away he conveniently meet a generic girl in distress... more>> in which he helped right away.

Heck, the author don't even elaborate how a normal human being could defeat several mutant rabbit monsters. The author just wrote it as "MC went ahead and defeated the monsters". This is a very lazy writing or lack of talent in literature.

Next, as generic as it can be, as stated in the novel description above, MC stays at the girls village, Villainous noble appears, MC protec the people, etc etc.

New isekai readers (and teens) might like this, but experienced (or mature) readers who've been lurking around novelupdates would find this novel very plain, generic, and boring. <<less

The biggest charm of this novel is the character relationships.

Unlike other systematic rpg novels, this one has a good balance between developing character relationship and developing the MC's power.

Be aware that the first dozen or so chapters are not really amazing and seem bland, but past that, it only gets better and better.

There's no horny teenager type of MC, no harem-seeking plot, no easy-to-get girls (the characters act very rationally), and no arrogant MC. Our MC still acts like a real mature adult even though he's being put in a... more>> teenager's body as the setting, which is really nice and relate-able to mature readers.

Don't be discouraged when the MC acted passively to the mocking he received due to how weak he was at the beginning, it would all be paid off really unexpectedly in the archery competition arc. I as experienced reader truly didn't expect that kind of plot twist at all.

Such a nice read. This is more than simply having the MC grow stronger, the relationship between the characters are the main attraction.
My only wish is the author will not make stupid ending like in his other novel, A Monster Who Level Up. <<less

I give 2 star instead of 1 because the early chapter is pretty interesting. It goes downhill and very boring soon enough (ch100+)

MC is the problem. Imagine Saitama from OPM being submisive to most arrogant villains who trashtalk him, this is just like that.

Despite being the strongest existence in the world, even already beyond the goddess, he still acts submisive. It's not about being humble, it's more like being naive, indecisive, and nearly masochist for humiliation.

Like other novels, there will be arrogant villains all over the place. Instead of... more>> dealing with them as a man, he nearly always take it all without even being angry, just letting those villains trashtalk him.

I decide to put this on hold as of ch142 because MC is being suisive again to a powerless arrogant jerk. <<less

I guarantee both new and experienced readers will be refreshed by thos novel. At the beginning it looks like typical reincarnation series with revenge and becoming strongest as the goal. But it isn't as simple as that.

This series is not a progression log journal type of rpg novel like re: monster or kumo nani. It's much much better than that sh*t. With his past memories, MC knows a lot of secrets like hidden treasures, secret jobs and suchs. Reader would expect MC would get what was stated in the foreshadowing,... more>> but author would surprise us by making different result with what was expected/stated before. In a sense, the plot can be a bit unpredictable and fun to read. MC is a total cold-blooded badass ex-assassin. Even though he reincarnated to his past self, his mentality doesn't regress to his younger self. So no harem making and fanservice whatsoever. There will be multiple cases where you'll thought that some new characters will follow the MC, but they will end in Game of Throne's plot style. Many people would compare the MC with Dungeon Defense's MC, and I DO SEE SOME SIMILARITY aside from Dantalian's lust. Both are cunning and cruel which is really good. All in all this is a MAN'S novel, not a boy's novel. So get the f**k out if you're a perverted teenager with raging boner. <<less

Mediocre RPG style otherworld novel. Thick game system element. Cliche hero and heroine. Everything too simple and unnatural. Boring.

This is an insanely great read... I've read many novels from KR, JP, and CN which include various type of genre in adventure, fantasy, harem, comedy, and slice of life. But this, this is like the pinnacle of fantasy adventure with its erotic theme as one of its most distinct theme. The first few chapters are an extremely well-defined erotic chapters (If you don't like this kind of erotic scenes, then this series is not for you), nearing the 10 chapters the adventure will begin which is also pretty good... more>> with some erotic sense mixed in between.

What makes this so good is that the writing styles is almost perfectly depict what's happening, from sword swings and battles to the action on bed. It's all very well depicted that you are most likely will read it again and again just for the heck of it.

It's that good, definitely a must read for those seeking fantasy adventure with a strong MC (which is also an alpha womanizer), especially a mature adventure that shows s*x scenes a lot. (Don't worry, the MC is a decent good-natured guy, it's just that he's a total womanizer). <<less

Definitely has extremely good potential. You just need to read 1 or 2 chapters to see the potential and type of story this could be.

So far no generic cliche thing is found, which is very good. I have big hopes for this one.

So far looks pretty promising.

MC failed to gain believers on earth and later was mistransported to another world with a tipical gamelike fantasy setting.

MC as a God is introduced as very OP beyond all mortal. But then the author went full retard by trying his best in making up whatever nonsense to prevent MC from using his OP power.

... more>> e.g:
Walking instead of flying because he wants to chat with his noob companion.

Trying his best to hide his power from public because blablabla.

Trying his best to do things by human rules such as taking exams, making hero license, etc etc. (Seriously, this one is very stupid if you think logically)

Don't expect a romantic development soon, he doesnt have any romantic feeling to his companions at all.

Well anyway, it's very shallow and light but I still see potential. <<less

Truly a good Xianxia with proper plotting, not only the usual xianxia template like [getting insulted by asshole -> power up -> beat those asshole with] then rinse and repeat, but with a cunning and some mindblowing way of dealing with problems.

Also, instead of women easily falling for MC becoz MC is stronk, our MC went through proper courtship to woo the ladies. He's also not the kind of beast like Chu Feng from MGA who would rape good looking girls becoz of some problems as his reason, our... more>> MC here is a man with more dignity and respect.

He's the type of a very very OP MC in term of talent and possibilities instead of OP in raw power, therefore you get both the OP feeling and improvement feeling too.

Read a dozen or so chapter to see what kind of story is this. <<less

MC is suddenly rich but is a common man with kind-hearted personality. The atmosphere of the story is peaceful slice of life with no bloody battle or violence which is pretty refreshing and relaxing. MC can go back between our and the fantasy world as he like it and he often brought stuffs from our modern world to those medieval era world which most of the time stunts the people over there.

The core of the theme is that he uses his newly found wealth to help people without any ulterior... more>> motives such as gaining fame, attracting opposite s*x, and other common greed templates. He even works hard in doing it, that's why the MC is really like-able except that sometimes he can be pretty gullible in some situations (but not being too dumb or dense).

From my experience as otherworld theme reader, if you like Death March (Desumachi), you'll most likely love this one too because of the OP MC (not strong but ultra rich) and relaxing theme with occasional outstanding situations. <<less

The Death Mage Who Doesn’t Want a Fourth Time

One chapter is pretty long compared to average, so the chapters that I've read should be plenty enough to determine the style and potential.

1. Initially the author tried to be in depth in world and character building, but soon after he contradicts that style by spouting nonsense and a complete 180° change of MC's personality, which is an instant turn off for most readers.

Imagine seeing John Wick becomes a complete sissy and doesn't kill the villains who killed his loved ones. That's the exact situation and personality our MC has.

Spoiler

MC's mother got tormented in public, laughed at, and burned alive at stake. MC even immediatly develop mental corruption skill from level 1 straight to 10 by learning what happened to his mother. By this point readers are all excited for a massive revenge plot, right? But no, just a few chapter later, MC turned into a completely soft hypocrite. He doesn't kill the villagers who discriminated his non-human mother but just punish them by destryong the village's farm and walls...

[collapse]

2. The age progression is very slow and the illogical sense of morality is messed up even if it's a fantasy. The MC is still under 1 year old baby for f**k sake. But the author makes almost all the woman he encountered to fall for him. The reason for this is a passive undead charm skill as a death mage, but wtf? Imagine a nearly 300 years old lolibaba who already has grandchildren and usually had s*x with huge beastman-like male feeling dokidoki against a baby with less than 1 year of age.

3. Many more too mention, but from what I've read, I can only conclude this novel as something that is written by amateur young teenager boy. The writing style is better than most other average isekai, but is still a mess the more I read it. <<less

If you at least liked the first volume of dungeon defense, then you'll definitely love at least the two volumes of this novel.

It's completely a psychological warfare like in dungeon defense. MC started in a predicament, near doom-like situation but managed to cunningly get away from it.

The best part starts from the middle-end of first volume where an unprecedented plot twist will take readers by a shock. Followed by elaborate explanation about how MC can get his reasoning and proofs, us readers will have "oh right, it was like that,... more>> I didn't realize it." kind of feel. Almost like in detective kind of genre.

Unlike dundef which is controversially debated to have gone worse starting vol 2, this one stays good and probably getting even better, at least if reviewed per chapter insted of per volume. Because vol 2 is only halfway translated as of now.

Damnit I want to read the next chapter as soon as possible. I want answers!!! That's what I get right now after reading v2c5. Everybody is on huge uproar and is debating the possibility about the huge twist and cliffhanger. What I can safely expect to get is an ultra satisfying revenge plot in the following chapters. I've read some other reviews and comments and it seems like some people are complaining about the number of anime reference. Some even asking obvious questions in the comments. What I can conclude from their statements are that either they can't understand the type of sarcasm in the novel or they simply are not smart enough to understand the context of this type of novel. Because, to some readers, those reference and type of gap conversations are refreshing and interesting. <<less

MC is a really good guy but he has self-denial for that. Living the honest life after defeating the demon lord. There are a dozen or so heroes summoned, he's the oldest. Usually there will be friction and hatred, but for this one, everyone loves him. He's like a father figure for the younger heroes.

Mainly a slow-paced action adventure with bits of slice of life.

Very shallow plot and very very bad character building. This looks like written by a teenager or an old virgin.

To top it off, the translation is also bad. Missing puntuations, broken grammar, wrong vocabulary... Still readable, but very annoying to read.

Readable if you're completely new to reading Jnovel, but utter trash if you're an experienced reader.

Spoiler

The character building is completely nonsensical. At first the MC is stated to be completely dubious to his cheat power, but in just a couple chapter he uses all kond of cheat ability as if he already knew it all.

Even worst, the heroine. She went to town to look for sacrificial subjects for a resurrection spell in case her respected and adored brother is killed, but then she fell for the MC who killed her brother and she had s*x with him that very day and became his wife the day after.

This is all a complete nonsense of a poor story and bad translation.

P.S. The villain is so generic I don't know what else to say.

Alright boys! Listen up! This series is the real deal. Forget those generic lame ass fantasy novels with RPG element, coz this one ain't nothing like dat! The prologue and first few chapters is rather unique with slight twist and turn. Then it progressed with a true RPGish type of plot, but not like those cheap whor-- I mean cheap novels. This one is different, MC is not a crazed s*x maniac wishing to create his own harem. He's just a straightforward loner guy.

Overall I'd say the plot is refreshing,... more>> the main characters are likeable, the jokes are okay, and the potential can be seen clearly. <<less

Unlike other typical otherworld/transported novel, this one has a truly proper plot. The author does a really excellent job in writing it smoothly. What makes it really good is that the MC's action is pretty logical and unique, unlike many other MCs that try to get laid, make harem, or in pursue of revenge.

This is not for those who desperately looking for a harem or immediate love scene early into the novel. No, how the characters have relationship is very logical, proper courtship and all. So this is not a... more>> read for you if you are a raging teenager wanting a girl's affection.

The story is very much unique. Simply saying (not spoiler), while most other MCs go on a guild quest, collecting herbs, hunting goblins, or maybe slaying dragons and all, our MC take a mission to clean a city's feces dump site. Disgusting you say? Anyone would think so, but somehow, magically, miraculously, the author can make that set up to be more interesting than slaying dragons or any others. WTF right?

There is no demon lord subjugation, there is no mindless killing or grinding, and there is no cheap girls that easily falls for MCs. MC's goal is only to live a good life in the new world.

This more of industrialization type of otherworld novel instead of the usual adventure roaming style. MC brings many innovation both from Earth and from the otherworld. The common stuffs he does or makes turns out to be extraordinary for the otherworld folks.

You can see what kind of novel this is in just 5 or so chapters, so do try it. <<less

It is indeed only subpar in terms of story telling skills. The author is not truly skillful in writing the plot, which makes it a little cliche. But that's alright, the concept is pretty interesting. It's still early to say whether this will have s*xual plot like Former Hero series or being subtle like Death March, but in anyway, if you like those two series, and also like these following series, you'll probably like this one too. It's a generic reincarnated template with super butler theme like Hayate combat butler series (but reincarnated).
