The Second Coming of Gluttony

After weeks of wading through dozens of chapters of mediocre web novels I come across this one. After reading the first few chapters I was pretty bored, but the great reviews kept me optimistic. I am now 45 chapters in and I can safely say this is one of my favorite novels I have read. If you aren't hooked on this novel after the first few chapters, I urge you to keep reading because it gets a lot more interesting. It is such a pity that the translator decided to... more>> drop this, but maybe if we can get more people interested he will pick it back up, or someone else will continue where he left off. I urge you to give this novel a try and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! <<less

The Novel’s Extra

Yes, this novel does include a lot of tropes that have been done over and over, but because the story feels quite unique I don't mind it. After spending weeks reading the first few chapters of dozens of novels, this is the only one that I have found in a long time that holds my interest. The author does a very good job of giving you things to look forward to and hypothesize about.

This novel does have the trope of the main character being transported into a world that he... more>> knows just about everything about, but this is merely the back drop for the story to take place. In other novels this can make the story become stale very quickly, but because it never easily solves the conflicts it is still interesting. <<less

History’s Strongest Senior Brother

Story doesn't have a clear goal or direction and the MC's motives are pretty unclear as well. The fights are overly exaggerated and hard to follow. The side characters are uninteresting. The process of cultivation and the true power and knowledge of the MC are completely unknown which leads to situations where the story feels very contrived. Overall there is nothing really to hook the reader in, there aren't any strong points. I also have no idea why this is tagged as "evil protagonist", that definitely isn't the case.

Read Reverend... more>> Insanity instead. <<less
