Tales of the Reincarnated Lord

Skip chapter 15-21. You don't miss much. The story doesn't advance and we find ourselves reading a second rate love story which is literally reminiscing about the "Good old times". The romance interest is nothing special and easily manipulated into ... more>>

Being a secondhand wife of a noble in the capital and selling all her assets to become a baby maker

(she is very dumb). The reader is introduced to her so quickly there is no time to even care about what she does and this is also true for the MC at the moment. I don't care about them enough yet to be emotionally effected in the slightest (21 chapters and still not making this happen makes this bad writing). At this point I want the story to get back on track with the MC and what he is doing in this strange new environment and not a half baked side story. <<less

Girl is a shallow brick who figures out MC is a scummy Harem seeker. She then reacts like a normal person and turns scummy MC down, but Scummy MC stalks her. Instead of calling for the police she turns back into a shallow brick and lingers between liking and not liking Scummy MC because he 'looks cute'.

If you want to read a story about a scummy MC and a brick protagonist be my guest. I think I'd rather do something more productive and bang my head against a wall, or... more>> play Dark souls (shield only run).

-Sigh... Just want to clarify that this is not as bad as the other Scummy harem seeking novels and that I was a bit disappointed that the story goes from revenge against MC and loving him. I find it wishy washy but others might like it and that's your opinion. I feel like I was going to eat KFC but got a discount dollar burger instead. <<less

One of the best translations I have read featured on this site and a must read that sets a high quality as a standard. The story is astounding and interesting and the grammar is perfect. The chapters are long and the characters are interesting. If you have not read this, then I would compare this to something akin to Death Note except with Demons and Armies and an interesting game mechanic instead of a notebook. Both Author and Translator need congratulations and I am still as excited to read more... more>> as I was when I first started reading. <<less

A step above Xainxia and the like. Another step above Harem "Romance" but... not exactly innovative or inspired. It's not repetitive or filled with battle filler. It has one time-skip early on to keep the story moving but I almost feel that a bland training montage would be something more original than this. It just doesn't do... anything so far. Maybe it starts off slow and gets better but at the moment it's not something you would wait for especially chapter by chapter.

If it all was released at once... more>> I would have probably finished reading it, but I could read literally anything else instead during the wait and get distracted. Which means this story would have been lost to the ether in my mind of countless similar stories.

It's translated well, which is more than I can say for some novels on this site. Don't let my review influence your decision if this is the first story you've read like this on the site but to over exposed people like me, probably give it a miss. You're not missing much. <<less
