This gave me a serious headache and left me with 2 brain cells. I was thinking about giving this a 1 star but decided on 2 for the s*x scenes. Unlike other novels, they aren't shy with the details, which I appreciate.

Rant: I read the tags before reading and thought I could handle it, but I couldn't. Actually, I was okay with everything (assault, rape, horrible characters) EXCEPT for the drama. The drama OMG THE DRAMA! I nearly bashed my head against the wall *cry* I couldn't take the scheme/plots... more>> of those jealous characters, they are seriously too much. I have never read such detestable characters like them; absolutely horrible. And the MC is stupid to boot, I can handle ditzy or thick-skinned or wet-behind-the-ears characters who don't know any better, but this MC is just plain stupid. She keeps making the same mistakes over and over and OVER AGAIN without learning her lesson, once or twice I can understand but on the seventh time?? COME ON *facepalm*

My despise for this LN is so great and wanted to drop it earlier but I kept holding on waiting for the MC to change her ways and become stronger. I was secretly rooting for her so she can become a character that can support her family and loved ones and not be taken advantage of over and over again. BOY I WAS WRONG. Instead, it was her son who saved the novel for me... I kept reading because of her son who is the only smart character in this whole novel I swear...! LONG LIVE HER SON! <<less

[Will come back and edit my review here later. Just wanted to clarify something that another review said.]

Okay, so I finished MTLing this novel and I really loved it.

But for now, I would like to clarify some things another reviewer said that got my head tilting.

  1. Spoiler

Cheng Nuo DID NOT forget about Liu Guang AT ALL. Cheng Nuo and Bai Rui were trapped in a seal and couldn't leave, even if they wanted to. Cheng was actually heading back home to Liu Guang but got sealed with Bai Rui. Cheng Nuo thought about Liu Guang daily and was finding ways to leave because he knew Liu Guang would worry.

    [collapse]
  2. Spoiler

Cheng Nuo did NOT leave Liu Guang for 5 whole years. That was a dream Cheng Nuo had, he only left for 2 years, not 5. Also, one day in the seal is 2 days outside, he was gone +6months and it became 2 years.

    [collapse]
  3. Spoiler

Bai Rui isn't a sly bastard, IDK where they got that from. However, he did some selfish things at times due to his love towards Cheng Nuo. Selfish yes, sly no.

This is the funniest novel I have read to date! Every chapter has me howling with laughter without fail omg idk how the author comes up with these ideas.

The story of a transmigrator going into a good-for-nothing body isn't new, but the personality of the character is something I have never seen before. She's highly entertaining and isn't stupid like some characters from other LNs, she's more simple-minded. I love how her fujoshi mind works and how she creates made-up scenarios with all the males around her. There are a... more>> lot of anime tropes (deres/seme/uke) so if you're into anime/manga, you'll enjoy this.

If you like this novel then I would suggest Adorable Food Goddess :)

I recommend that you read the tags before reading, I saw that some didn't like how there were rape scenes, but it is included in the tags so they should've expected that to be there.

The rape scenes weren't disgusting or disturbing in my opinion. For example, it was more of a:

ML brings MC to bed, MC tries to avoid it by saying she's tired, ML says its okay because he'll do all the work. Morning comes, ML goes to morning court, MC wakes up with her body sore, curses ML for his strength and stamina, then goes about her day. That's pretty much how it goes, it's pretty vague.

Some people made it sound worse than what it actually is like he abused her or something.

Read the tags before reading the novel!!

Reasons why I gave it a 4/5

  1. The ending felt a bit rushed.
  2. Lots of time skips.
  3. Felt that MC didn't "love" them, its more like she got used to them.
  4. Some side characters that were there in the beginning just never appeared again towards the end. (Just gone lol)
Other than that, I thought the story was great. As I mentioned before, read the tags before reading the novel. There is a lot of sensitive scenes that might trigger people (i.e. abuse, rape, etc). I personally... more>> enjoyed the novel very much, I found it very 'refreshing' and different from the typical stories that I read. And by 'refreshing' I mean there is practically no drama in the relationship; no side-chick, no rivals, nothing; just MC and the MLs (Compared to other novels that are full of love rivals and schemes/plots). Any "love rivals" will get kicked away by MLs lol. It's pretty much a straightforward story.

This is a mature/smut genre type novel so expect a lot of snu snu.

Spoiler

If you just want to skip to the first s*x scene it's on ch 8.

I have to say that the boys are really forceful and hardcore too (depending on who you are)

Talking about bullet point number 1 & 2:

Spoiler

The ending felt a bit rushed because of all of the time skips (in the beginning she's 18 and by the end, she's 41). That made me confused bc one day she's 20 and the next she's 30 with a child. Like.... wut? I'm serious though, a lot of time skips towards the end.

Talking about bullet point number 3:

Spoiler

There was a point in the novel where she ran away and slowly realized that she actually loves them. But right before she decides to go back home they find her and chain her up in the basement so she'll never run away again. And honestly, I wished that she realized her feelings and went back home sooner or for them not to be so harsh on her; because after they did that to her, her love and all the other emotions she had were gone. She basically became an emotionless s*x doll & MC just accepted her fate and stopped resisting them. I really wanted her to love them, not get used to them. :/ At the end of the novel (when she's 40ish) she loves them (or so they say) but I didn't see anything that would lead to that. Maybe it happened during the time skip, but they should show that to the readers at least. I can't just assume MC ended up loving them if I didn't see anything.

[collapse]

Talking about bullet point number 4:

Spoiler

An example would be MC's best friend. She was by MC's side during college, supporting her and everything. Then she slowly fades away after graduation and completely disappears after she gets married, never to be mentioned again. And the doctor she meets in a village, he only appears twice and was last mentioned chasing a nurse? lol

[collapse]

Do I recommend this? Yes, but not to everyone.

Do you have a fetish of absolute s*xual dominance? Go on right ahead 100%.

Do you enjoy soft fluff and MCs hugging full of affection and them confessing their never-ending love to one another? Nope, go away. No room for you here. <<less

The story is amazing and I love it so much! The translators did such an amazing job and they even included pictures in the pdf file.

The author managed to give the characters depth despite it being short. You'll get to know the MC's personality and see how "weak-minded" he is. Maybe that's how he got brainwashed so easily...

Good story, I just wished they went more in-depth with their relationship.

Spoiler

I also wished that the ML didn't "force" their relationship and just let MC fall in love gradually (or at least let her choose). Well, I guess ML couldn't help it since MC was his first love and would anything for her to stay with him.

I like the grandpa though lol. Asking for 15 grandchildren xD

Finished MTLing the story after a week and I absolutely love it!

Spoiler

Having 3 other world travelers made everything more interesting as we get to see their POV.

The MC stays simple and pure from beginning to end, which I really appreciate.

Irene really reminds me of the MC from HSSB in regards to being the "villain". She works hard not to become cannon fodder and does everything she can to prevent Zi Cheng from becoming "God".

I didn't really expect Zi Cheng to be so heartless, only caring for herself and pretending to be nice to gain favor from others... *sigh* I thought she would have more character than that. Seems like she's the white lotus type :/ But I can't really blame her for doing what she does bc she's also trying to survive...

The 4th traveler surprised me but I'm happy he was able to prevent future disasters from happening :)

Though there are some unanswered questions like the blood family, ancients, virtual world, etc. but I guess its alright since it doesn't deviate from the main plot? I also wonder what happened to their other friends : (this will forever a thorn in my heart.

If anything, I wish we had more pov from the other travelers, especially Irene, I love her.

At first, I was just reading this to pass the time since I had nothing else to read and it was short. I didn't expect to like it this much LOL

The MC has a lot of anger and angst and it doesn't go away soon, even after her 2nd chance at life. For that I can't blame her, I completely sympathize with her since I went through something similar... the hatred just can't go away so easily (try putting yourself in her shoes and I think you'll understand her). Knowing... more>> MC's personality all of the choices and actions she did make sense, even though some weren't right.

I thought ML was cute LOL He's a jar full of vinegar xD
Spoiler

It was nice to see him prove himself to MC and helped her open her eyes to her true feelings. :) I think MC knew it all along, she was just too scared to act upon it; hence all he bfs she had. She never knew true love in her past life and never saw love between her parents. She knew her mother loved her father and bc of that love she went crazy. That probably traumatized MC a lot and didn't want to end up sad and lonely like her.

[collapse]

I also have to say that the snu snu here is great! 2 thumbs up for me hehehe. The ending was okay, but thank God for the epilogue! Completly satisfied me :) without it I would've given this a 4/5 instead. <<less
