Different from most things I read in that I have to read every single word and not just skim the chapters for information. Although he gets a cheat of sorts it isn’t all powerful and he actually needs ability to use it so there isn’t any ‘he was about to die but then his cheat shined in a glorious light’ type things going on. Interactions between the MC and his ancestors have a pretty wide range of emotion and every character in the story has there own sh*t going on... more>> so you don’t have to worry about always seeing things from one perspective. <<less

Same type of MC like TDG and SOTR in that he is a reincarnated person that knows far more things about everything than the other characters do, knows how to get under others skins and destroy them. However he is also quite ruthless and if he wants you dead then you will die sooner or later but you can't really hate him for it. So far it just gets better with every chapter leaving you wanting more.

I Was a Sword When I Reincarnated (WN)

Okay the first 11 or 12 chapters are all background/building chapters where the sword starts to become familiar with his surroundings and gain skills and power ups
... more>>
Spoiler

because you see later that his attack alone isn't even a match for common steel swords and daggers, so he actually needs quite a bit to set off

[collapse]
.
The story picks up after he meets his owner and travels to a town so that his owner may become an adventurer. There they learn various things about the world, trying to find out where he came from (who made him), classifications of swords and whatnot and begin the life of an adventurer.[As of chapter 27]

As far a characters go even though some of them are quite cliche like the elf guild master and dwarf blacksmith even one has there own unique personality and so far none of them are just there to be a peanut gallery.

In contrast to what other people thought of the first 11 or 12 chapters, I actually quite enjoyed reading them probably because 'Game Elements' novels are my favorite types but also because this is probably the only novel I have read with a non-living protagonist. So I was just wondering how a sword could do things all that time without bothering to think of whether it was repetitive or 'boring' <<less

About a guy who’s greatest joy in his life is to level characters to max,
... more>>
Spoiler

however he got in an accident where Truck-sama unfortunately ran something over... his cell phone with his latest game character that only needed a little bit more exp to reach max after that he met a fairy that let him level in real life

[collapse]
So he became a character and raises his level in real life by repeating the same tasks over and over. As he raises his level he accidentally get obtains a high charm value and brings in trouble in the form of girls.
Its not overly complicated (at least of yet) and the MC really is just a regular guy so no super cheat abilities or use of magic (so far). Its a fresh feel to other game elements novel in its simplicity of the level system <<less

I think this one is first for me, as the MC did something I don't believe I have ever read out of anything I read which is to give himself a second chance at life. No outside interference, no trucks, no gods with a mission he just decided screw my life I want a do-over so he all of a sudden created a spell that allowed him to do so.

As a character, he distances himself from pretty much everybody (i.e his classmates, teachers, and parents) except those similar to... more>> himself. So there are quite few characters that have any motion. Although he planned on doing everything alone he quickly gets dragged along by other dynamic characters, not in the spineless way but in the 'won't stop bothering me might as well way'

Novel is not to far in so there isn't a definite plot atm other than training magic so I can't say much about the overall direction but overall its a fun read. <<less

Parallel World Pharmacy

Pretty good novel about a modern world pharmacologist reincarnated into a middle ages with magic type world. Unlike some reincarnation novels he wasn’t newborn nor did he fuse souls with the person who coincidentally have the same name as him to have 2 sets of memories so he basically knows nothing of this world and knows no one there. In this world there are much of the same illnesses and diseases of this one and all thought there are other skilled pharmacist and doctors during those times there was much... more>> that wasn’t understood of diseases and such and that’s where our MC comes in. <<less

MC is generally a nice person but isn't a saint so he doesn't overlook those who wrong him. At the same time he isn't so ruthless to destroy everything the person he has conflicts with has without looking back.

Although he has a cheat (something I actually very much enjoy like in WDQK or MGS) it doesn't automatically turn him into an OP protagonist for possessing it. MC has high perception which can explain him being able to obtain things faster but at the same time he still has... more>> to work hard for things because he is in noway a super genius or anything.

Characters in the novel are dynamic and personality traits don't repeat over and over. 'Villains' don't just toss cliche lines and every person isn't just there to curry favors with the MC. Other characters have there own lives and stories that are made clear so even though the MC is the focus it is interesting to see about others as well.

The only downside is the development is slow but even with that I wouldn't really cal it a downside since there isn't any wasted chapters. The only true downside is the fact that the novel and the translations are on the same chapters, so even though the translations are fast don't expect to binge read the entire novel anytime soon :P <<less

As far as cheat abilities go when someone is reincarnated into another world, I find this one to be the best one because it isn't overpowered but allows you to grind forever :)

MC is reincarnated not entirely by accident (Truck-sama wasn't involved) and he has a clear goal in this world from the beginning of the novel

Its fun because it starts out with him as a baby and progresses from there on a journey towards making a ridiculously op hero

Although its not very far in I still consider this to be one of the best reincarnation stories (which is like 1/3 of the novels I read) I have read from the prologue to the current chapter I though it was pretty well paced and very comical on how he gets skills :). Not entirely sure why but it reminds me a lot of Mushoku Tensei (which is easily in my top 5 favorite novels)

As far as transported to another world novels go I like this one since the protagonist is more real emotions wise. He doesn’t all of a sudden decide he needs a harem nor did he immediately decide to go to sign up to be an adventurer before learning about the world. Of course he still gets a powerful cheat however he doesn’t really want to use it since he is afraid he might misuse it and cause damage to others. Character development is also pretty good so there aren’t any... more>> (so far) static characters that are just there to compliment the MC. <<less

Another reincarnation novel and an unlucky MC that was chosen to be the reincarnated. However he is at least rational enough to properly think things through and realizes what he needs to survive in the world so he actually trains instead of jumping into a fight to level. MC isn't anything special although he is misunderstood quite a bit.

Initially I didn’t like this novel because the MC came off to me as excessively negative, however after giving this novel a second look I came understand why it is so. He doesn’t view himself as a hero because he really does lack the strength to be one, but he possesses all the qualities and is only powerful when saving someone.
