Isekai Nonbiri Nouka

If you are interested in reading this generic novel, the manga is tolerable but suffers from similar problems. The biggest problem is not with the story or characters, that's another issue, but with formatting. Every line is it's own paragraph, and details are minimalist or non existent at best. To those who compare this to Harvest Moon, the similarities are insignificant. There isn't a development of relationship as basically all women immediately want to f**k him. There isn't a consequence for his constant usage of his "OP power" and why... more>> would a fucking God bother with this person because of an accident. It would change nothing if he just woke up in this world and had this power. In harvest moon there are goals that you, has the player has, but he doesn't seem to have any.

Farming details isn't sufficient enough to fulfil any wanton niches of readers. The harem is one sided, as this typical isekai protagonist doesn't want to even have a relationship, he's not a dense brick, he literally doesn't want it. One of the tags, relates to rape, I'd imagine that the female characters legitimately would back off if he says no. But he doesn't, he has no personality or even cares, outside of the fact that it's exhausting. Which is remarkably poor in actual characterisation and he doesn't want to be the only male in the village. On that note, village building is lacklustre same as the farming. If you are here for such things, it's not here. Kingdom building happens later and feels shoved in, carelessly with no impact. Main character dies, get resurrected by god grants his wish of a healthy body and granted the "Almighty Farming Tool" which changes forms that related to farmer tools in general. How a spear is related is tangible at best so it really feels that he has no limitations to this. He's a bore. He has no personality, he's bread-kun, he's your op character who gets all the ladies but gives no shits. Is he an audience surrogate? Well certainly most people reading this would glad f**k those ladies who're just lining up to f**k him. But he doesn't, he acts like it didn't even happen.

He has no motivation other than living, he has no personality, he just does things. He doesn't say no or object. He arrives at a continent where the demon king lives where the land can't grow, but he can grow there with aft. Then his place slowly starts to grow with new inhabitants. If this is how Japanese people see themselves as him or want his place, wow. What strange wish fulfilment is this.

There is no story. Things just happen outta the blue and there is no stakes for our main character, only the side characters who don't get reprucussions in the true sense. Nothing happens, he has kids, who don't get a focus so no cute fluffy childcare moments for people here for that. Characters are one note and, while boring and typical, are better than protagonist in the way that, they have motivations and aspirations, some, but not all. Conflict is non existent. It says more that I've used no names, because it doesn't matter, angel lady 1, vampire lady, baby, the many million dogs he gets, etc. No character has, well, a character, that just exist, pop in and out. Slice of life, implies that for a lack of a complicated in your face story, character interactions and development would take focus. I don't remember a character, there is so little or none at all that makes an impact. This web novel is so generic that people are fine with it, this novel doesn't deserve its ratings. If we had to pay for this, it wouldn't be rated this high. It's palatable but overall has nothing to it, an equivalent to toddlers' baby books. But those usually have a lesson to them, or are rembered. Like clifford, Scooby doo, Hairy Mclary, spot the dog, anything from Dr. Seuss. If you truly want to read this lame ass novel, the manga adaptation is much more palpable and adds more this novel than it has any right to. And so far the latest release has them doing a tournament for some reason that I don't care for.

Its also slow. A high school student could craft a more engaging story than this, one that doesn't read as if it's for five year olds. I also don't believe that its rating is undeserved due to how non-graphic it is, with any details. It's so sexless that even when s*x is actually happening it describes nothing. <<less

Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu

From early on, it just reeks of generic trash, the protagonist to me at least, is extremely annoying, some people will like it because it hits what their niches are. But even within a niche genre, it's generic and uninspired, why should I read this instead of, say... there's just so many out there, such as Death March, boring as I find it at least it has some merits.

To give a run through of the basic setup, we got our MC, who gets transported to a ruin wasteland world by... more>> gods, one who's chill but and deletes his porn, when was this made exactly? 2013, yes, shame the porn. Then there our evil goddess who treats the MC like sh*t and prefers his, twin sisters. All because of a prank, and that's how the MC describes it as.

Guy gets transported to another world for some reason or another, ho boy, what light novel series, or Chinese novel am I reading today. With it being Isekai, that really says something because there are tons of bad shitty isekai novels and this is not even funny, or anything really. It's worse to be truly generic rather than extremely bad. Because on another glance, I would never pick this up. Maybe it gets better later on, but it doesn't fill my niches immediately and doesn't attract my attention. It doesn't

He also kills a two-headed hound after 3 days of arriveing while being dehydrated and hungry I assume, like he puts his foot through the hound. After Tsukiyomi (The good that likes him) says he mediocre and physically bad, despite him being in an archery club. And he refuses this orc lady, and then like a day later it turns out he pisses of a dragon clan, or water ever and that's where I went, I have better things to do than to read a shitty boring isekai. <<less

The Death Mage Who Doesn’t Want a Fourth Time
January 9, 2019
Status: c182
Death Mage as a story is backed up by its plentiful world building and characters that brought life to what could've been a common web novel. Our protagonist Hiroto, who later becomes Vandeliu, suffers from a sufficiently realistic abusive childhood who dies on a school trip along with 100 others. They get reincarnated by one of the many gods to appear in this story and is extremely unlucky when he his place got taken by another under the same name. And subsequently suffers from this God as his reincarnated life... more>> ends in suffering from his own classmates, which leads to a revenge sake plea to the same God as he reincarnates again in to the world that will feature predominantly in the story.

Firsty, despite appearances this story isn't a revenge seeking plot. But one that gets amplified by the occasional revenge seeking intention, Vandeliu prime motive is to resurrect his dead mother which indeed does happen and at a time where another plot focused element is happening.

Op main character is op and despite that in this story his methods don't always work and he's an unlucky fellow to begin with. The story doesn't hide this fact and is almost upfront about, in a way it's refreshing as the story works with it as an element that it doesn't forget as situations are always escalating and consequences do happen. His powers are explained and his methods for coming up with solutions with his powers make sense which his prior life.

Gods act the way they do much like the Greek pantheon, and self- fullfiment prophecy. The story doesn't let go of the fact that Gods, are not human, they do not understand desires, emotions, and life, the same way. The story hammers in that Gods, are not human.

Anyway, outside of making this way longer than anyone is going to read. Death Mage is well deserved to have some time to check it out with a great translation and formatting and has side stories that add to the characters and worlds that break up the story as it goes on. With minor time skips that feel natural to just fly bye. <<less

Only Sense Online (LN)
October 10, 2018
Status: v8c1
Only sense online, is a fluff story set in a vrmmorpg world. It is fairly decent, but very monotonous if I can put a word to it. There's no clear story that happens and no sense of greater conflict or very interesting character development.

Our MC is a guy whose is rendered in game as a girl because he went with the default settings which gave him a female avatar character based on his girlish looks. This is the worst part of this novel series. It is unnecessary for him to... more>> have this issue, but it would've been better to have him as a girl from the start and not the weird gender bender deal. Though it seems romance is non-existent in this series, this MC was like this to serve as bait for yuri and gay romantic options in the game, and straight and gay in the real world chapters. It's easier to just consider him as female because of how weak this setup is, even he doesn't care about it all that much. A much better story, 1/2 prince did this much better but in reverse.

Other than that he's the typical light novel male protagonist, with more shoujo female character like traits on him. With no backbone and only says no when his clothes might become a dress for example. He's bland. Other characters range from being codified with tropes but is otherwise acceptable and are likeable characters to a point. But aren't very interesting and is one note.

The gaming portion is well, the sense portion of the title refers to skills you can have in game that can be levelled up and evolve. Our MC picks up what are considered trash skills such as using a bow, mixing, sything for example. Bows in these novels always seem to get this appearance because of the higher skill needed to use them. Most likely other elements aren't going to sit well with those who know more about mmorpgs and other games.

So only sense online is average and certifiable as a series, if somewhat boring due to fatigue over how slow and uninteresting the books move through. <<less

So, I really couldn’t get past the fact that this evil organisation would just basically kill children to force themselves to become prime material. Like that happens of course but that is really stupid. Also a comedy tag? That wasn’t funny. But I’ve only read 3 chapters so take this with a grain of salt.

Legit, thousands of children die getting killed by magic and the instructor is our protagonist. I would love, if his “Students” kill him. Anyway, summary is like later on in the story so

Guy gets reincarnated, parents... more>> die leave him farm, king wants goldmine, initiation of war, farms gets fired. Guy becomes evil instructor. That’s how we start really, so yeah. <<less

Oh hey, Dragon Quest reference, nice. Unsure if related though. A Jester can change jobs to be a sage mid game in Dragon Quest 3 and that way is superior to the Mage and priest class. Due to better protection and other in game things.

Anyway can't make a full review as it currently has few chapters.

But it's rather average and typical, Tina is the worst character so far and drags down the quality so much. So if she gets better I don't know. I also don't enjoy 18 year olds... more>> (or so she says) looking like 13 year olds with, what the main character describes as "Bigger than her head" makes me distinctly feel uncomfortable and the artwork revolving her looks bad as it's very unapologetic stupid in body development

Characters other than Tina, so far, are much better but not outstanding or noteworthy except for the main character who acts as expected.

typical low quality stuff not worth investing in. <<less

Gender bending stories like this still feels pointless, at least the author put in a reason why our protagonist is female in real life and as a game avatar. The VRMMO doesn't allow opposite gender avatars for some reason. And and a gender changing disease. So if you're looking for a complex story that may involve gender and body issues. This is the absolute worst story for you, go away. Authors don't put in effort for these things. 1/2 prince absolutely does this better.

Anyway current chapters aren't enough to make... more>> a valid point right now. But the translator says chapter 8 is when is really starts going/gets good. Wow that's such a turn off point, anyway there are images throughout the chapters so at least there's some variety.

Alchemy stuff though, it's fine. Again traditional this class sucks and no one plays it except for main character etc. Which is lame. <<less

MC is a cunning person whose intentions early were believed to be someone else, which led to some humour around the situation. Volume 1 gives us the setup for later volumes and volume 2 gives us deeper character relations and the end goal for one of the 72 Demon lords. Volume 2 is also such a clusterfuck, in a good way, with the MC romance that was I don't even know what happened for a while. It leads you on.

its a fairly good novel that gives me what I wanted.

Because Janitor-san Is Not a Hero

Another world translator, does the job fairly well in that it's still easy to understand. And luckily the new translator group is picking this one up, and seems to be much better in quality. Don't know if it's going to continue though, at least no signs on this site.

Plot progress relatively quickly due to the simplistic writing style, and short sentence structure. Chapters are decent length which promotes this feelings. Our MC is a pretty good antihero that contrasts well with his villain of the story and other characters. The... more>> world building has the world be a dog eats dog world, and it works. It matches the story fairly well.

To explain the plot quickly, around 70 or so people were summoned to another world and were given blessings, but our MC's blessing was stolen by the kid that would become the main hero of this new land. And so MC has to live on a icy mountain with snow leopards because the goddess has to make it up to him. This set up is nothing new, feels standard and weird.

Characters come and go when interacting with the MC and we get some character development. That makes the characters less onenote and typical.

In short it's a light novel with elements that quite some people can jive with, and like. It's not a masterpiece or perfect, but it's good. <<less
